What is gamestop thinking...it's not about the destination? Who, in their right mind, would CHOOSE to go an a journey to a destination they KNOW will SUCK?

To answer this question Skyrim i bought it played for 1 hour then went back to gamestop and got rid of it don't care how good the story the endings might be if the gameplay is crap is crap and this is coming from someone who played oblivion until there was nothing left to do in it.

I wonder if Bioware feels the say way when they look at their dwindling TOR subscriber numbers.

I mean, the expected profits don't matter because it's all about the journey, right?

Even the journey for ME3 was pretty poor. It wasn't just the last five to ten minutes that were bad, but the entire last third. Sure, there were moments of brilliance such as Tuchanka and Rannoch, but overall the journey isn't really that special when it's exactly the same no matter what I do when I was led to believe for 7 years prior to it that it was going to be unique and special.

Seems rather effective. It's getting more attention than most adverts.

Because once again it's just proving that BioWare hasn't learned a damn thing from this. They still want to strut around with the wool deliberately over their own eyes, picturing a world in which they are the Gods of interactive storytelling and RPGs.

Imagine you are on the way to the dentist. It doesn't matter how lovely your car is, that your favorite song is playing or how beautiful the scenery is, you're still going to have a bloody horrible time on that journey.

I rememeber the one from EA where they had the same image but the text said somethign about how much controversy the ending caused. It's like showing us the arse and calling it mouth because it kinda looks similiar.

Dinn't they also mention the 75 perfect reviews in that one?

I disagree with Gamestop and this ad of theirs. I would advice them to google "anticlimax".

You just have to love the way these people think the way to win over people is with cynical ad campaigns.

I believe it is more Gamestop grasping at straws because they have a mountain of copies and no one is purchasing them. One can only imagine how many people returned their copies to Amazon after their announcement of a full refund.

It is when the destination makes the journey pointless. What is the point of romancing Liara if you never get their dream of being together after the war? Or Tali and her place on Rannoch? Or anything any of the characters wanted? What is the point of curing the Genophage if you never know the repercussions of doing so? Or not curing it? Even the ending choices are pointless as we don't know the effects they'll come to have on the galaxy. It's all pointless.

I never loved the ME series more than I did in ME3 but the ending just makes all that love pointless and depressing. You romanced this character? It's going nowhere. You cured the genophage? Doesn't matter, might as well not have. EMS is EMS. Did you and this character say you'd follow eachother into hell? Wait 'til they abandon you, totally out-of-character, at the end. Even the 'breath scene' is pointless because it doesn't actually add anything. It hints that my Shepard is possibly alive but then I have no idea if that's really the case and what they may have done afterwards. They may as well be dead.

Even trying to headcannon it is pointless because all your crew act so out-of-character and they're stranded elsewhere in the galaxy, a long way-a-way from Shepard/their races with a defunct mass relay network in-between. Jesus...

Seriously though, Journey is about the journey and beyond the ending.

the bioware staff talks a lot about how the game is suppose to be like a movie and how it's artistic and all that, and what do you hope for in a good movie? a good ending, a movie is utterly destroyed if the ending is crap and filled with plot holes.
