Keep in mind, IGN (and almost everyone else in gaming journalism) thought the ending was the greatest thing in the world because it was dark and edgy and got people talking. They didn't see anything wrong with it, so they moved on. Sure, they milked the controversy for several weeks, but only because it got them extra hits, not because they felt Bioware ever deserved the heat it was taking.

I refuse to read or even go on Kotaku or IGN.

Have you tried wishing them away and clicking your heels?

Multiple times. ^_^

I felt like all the "gaming journalists" thought "OOH CONTROVERSY!!!" *Jumps on the bandwagon for trolling and yellow journalism*

The most obvious one is Colin Morifarty or whatever his last name is.

EDIT: You know what, the advertisment that the "rave reviews" serve and all the talk about "ignore the hate for the endings" is almost like a bit of mind control and propaganda to get more people to buy.

If you don't love it, you're wrong.  Now stop being whiny and be a mindless corporation slave that eats up everything thrown at them.

Gamers who still read anything IGN has to say are kinda like liberals who tune in to the Rush Limbaugh show in the mornings. It's clear you're only doing so because you WANT to be pissed off.

To a degree, I think he's right that a lot of people have forgotten about ME3, but not in the way that he means. The dude is trying to push the notion that "Oh, everyone's gotten over it, and are cool with bioware now", when it's the exact opposite. People just stopped caring. Yeah, there are still people posting on the BSN about it, but there is a large group of people that have just stopped caring about Mass Effect and Bioware because of the ME3 mess.

The article is pretty disgusting, though. I'm glad they posted it though, it's good to have something like this to show people when they say "IGN isn't a sell out!".

An entire article trying to do damage control and get people to stop hating a terrible gaming company. This is what gaming journalism is, folks.

IGN: Ah yes, "good journalism"; we have dismissed that claim

BSN: Do the words "gamer ****storm" mean anything to you?

I think there's a difference between forgetting something bad and just refusing to fixate on it any longer. All it takes is a simple reminder and people will have no problem recalling those feelings.

And getting pissed off all over again.  Happens whenever I forget about ME3 as it sits collecting dust and the icon sits lonely from not being clicked for about 3 weeks.  And then I remember... <_<

Just read this so called article.....from the moment he starts speaking, I just laughed lol. He immediately trolls the people that hate the game, and tries to drive the point home that they are definitely and absolutely the "minority"

All the seriousness I went into the article with, was out the window after the first paragraph(or whenever he got to that point about the "minority"....I have a hard time recalling nonsense)

IGN? You mean the gaming community equivalent of a dirty politician? I'd even go so far as to say they're the FOX News of the gaming world. I wonder how much of EA's money are lining their pockets....

Honestly, I don't know how some of these writers get jobs. The IGN reviewers and writers are HORRIBLE.

This is Colin Campbell. One of the two Colins who called us a whiny minority, who also said there was no one at their offices who had an issue with endings, and one week later IGN hosted a live video event, hosted by 3 IGN contributors who to varying degrees all had issues with the ending.
I see his name and I take what follows with a pinch of salt.

Do love it when people defend big companies like that as though they're poor, defenseless mom&pop stores. Oh how will EA ever get over all this hate? Mayhaps they will try to console themselves in their solid gold log flume that crashes into a vat of money.

I can't really understand why they would even make this article. What would it serve other than to alientate some of their potential audience???

Unless EA told them to. That may be it.

I havent forgot about the endings. I forgot about IGN.
I DON"T READ IGN ANYMORE!!!!

And I don't understand you people that say you hate them and come here advertise their pages. They earn money from people opening their pages. Liking or not.

July advertising money probably will be cut, and then IGN will have a sudden "change of heart" just like Kotaku when EA gave them the finger, because they hadn't enough impact to earn some freebies.
