Plenty of ME2 characters to add some additional spotlight to.

I'll prefer new alien characters to add some new perspectives on the races, the ME3 crew need a krogan, but both Grunt and Wrex are occupied with their work.

Simple solution:
Don't but the DLC if your save doesn't allow you to access the content. Similarly, replay the older games if you want a valid save.

Agreed. You get Samara back as a paragon or you fight her as a renegade. That is what I thought was going to happen in ME3.gearseffect wrote...

I don't think that would work either, because it would only work if you were paragon. Samara says herself "I hope we do not meet again once my oath is served. I will be forced to try to kill you." <--- Dialogue when you are renegade. I am not sure how Shepard would convince her to join him again. Lmao
I think Aria will become a part time squad member in future DLC. I don't think we have heard the last of Omega and Afterlife. ;D
But personally? I want Miranda back, I don't see why she can't become a squad member after her mission in 3. And I won't say more, since I am not sure if Spoilers are allowed.
Well then because you play as ren Shep you end up having to fight Samara as a boss fight alone no squad mates and no lame Wrex C-Sec Virmire crap. You chose to play as Ren, so I chose to play as Paragon, it can be different depending on your actions. Samara as squad mate and LI or BW and EA forgo any further money of mine it stays in my wallet.

Sounds like a good idea to implement. Depending on your morality, certain characters may join you or fight you.
Kinda like in DA:O.

On the flip side Par Shep players will be happy to know they will be given a shot at continuing the romance with that character.
Part of what I remembered from document I found eary today in an old external harddrive.

I have, was more about ME1 content like Shiala, as I can't play ME1 on PS3, because it doesn't exist.
Does "Don't buy the DLC if..." sound like a sound marketing stratergy for Bioware to you?

How does someone having an invalid save file, like I mentioned, have anything to do with Bioware's marketing?
All they have to do is sell the content, and the people who care enough to have a valid save will buy it.

Because Bioware marketed ME3 as a good entry point and killed off as many characters as possible in the no-import save. Bioware will also want to market it to as many as possible, requiring a former game's save might be a turnoff for those that either lose the save or don't have said former game. Development is expensive, they can't just make a DLC to appeal to a certain fan-group.
There might be a chance for ME2 characters, but the missions must work without said ME2 character and still be good -- comparable replacement squad member and plot central characters. ME1's killable characters, no way in hell as PS3 users don't even have the option of sparing them.

we have new characters their names: James Vega and Javik. And neither of them are in the same league as the ones we have: Let them focus on the ones we have before adding more characters that we don't even really know or want.
I'll see if Bioware really listens to all the fan support and projects of bringing characters we want back for larger roles then lame cameo appearances.

No, I'm being realistic. It's all about money, slapping "only for former ME2 players with a save" on the DLC advertizement will return less of a profit, as making game content costs.
I like the ME2 characters, I want more from some of them too (Samara foremost), but hoping for a DLC whoose sole purpose is one ME2 character that may or may not (no-import) be alive. I have an ME2 save on PS3 and would buy DLC to get as many of them back onto the team, but ME3 DLC depending on ME2... money
I want more Feros and Shiala too, but as I play ME2/3 on PS3, Feros and Shiala is failed and dead no matter what I do.

Samara is great. I'd take her over liara anyday and make her the new Shadow Broker

Regarding Shiala I loved her Character but the main issue would be accessability and PS3 players didn't have access to Mass Effect and her being added might not be as relevant to them as a Xbox Players personally I liked her character and her story so I wouldn't be against a Mass Effect 1 Character Pack Containing Shiala & Gianna Parasini. Both could be added to the Normandy Crew Shiala as a Full time Squad Member and Gianna as a Full Support Member "Scenes,Dialogs Etc." but not a Squad member per say.
And both could be Romance Options

Totally agree! No new characters! Bioware can't even do the ones they have developed any justice in ME3. Disappointed with the lack of character development and romance continuation.
All for a #findMiranda DLC!

Also to those saying they don't want new characters please get off my Topic, this for discussing new characters or related. Not talking about no new Charscters. -.-

I say New Characters than people saying wanting old characters. This topic is to discuss new Charscters or maybe characters that were never in the squad. I hope that though we get new characters.I don't want Human or Mass Effect 2 characters most of them didn't interest me only Garrus, Tali, Beloved Liara, Samara I liked, Legion and that's it I think. We have half and half, you seen your characters. I prefer and want NewChsrscter mainly new Aliens.

At what point are you going to get that creating new characters would be a waste of time when there are preexisting characters with no screentime?
This thread could be about bananas, we're in favor of character comebacks, not new people.
Of course, if you weren't condescending so hard I think it might be easier to communicate with you.
