Mama thresher maw taking down the Reaper on Tuchanka in Mass Effect 3. That's my most recent one.

Taking down the first big boss in Okami thinking the game is over... trololo... yeah that one is my favorite.

My first time fighting Psycho Mantis in MGS. What had made the fight WOWriffic was when Mantis would read your memory card, controller input, and the give you the random HIDEO screen.

Also the whole of Shadow of The Collossus was one big wow moment for me.

Mass Effect 3's ending, I was like WOW, it must have really taken a lot of effort to make an ending this bad!

Many games, many wow moments.

One that will stay for me forever was preparing for, and taking out my first Raubritter in the cRPG Darklands.

As I played the game, I hung on every single word of the RPG text adventure, I was on the edge of my seat, almost begging to find out what would happen next. When my party finally did slay the Raubritter, after a long endeavour consisting of setting fire to the Keep, stealth, aid from the Heavens and a very challenging fight that started in the Raubritter's bedchambers and ended at the Castle entrance, I felt immensely satisfied.

It will stay with me forever because in the middle of 2010 when I first played it, that for all of the graphics, for all of the cinematics, for all of the voice acting and for all of the multimillion dollar budgets of the modern AAA games (even Dragon Age: Origins, which I was enjoying at the time), a game from 1992 that I had ripped off Abandonia at random was more immersive.

How ironic; guessing some parents are saying the same thing....

Bannable offence, people have been rubbed out for less.

Which part? The continued bashing of ME3, or mentioning parents of nobody in paticular that may have made the same observation? In any event, feel free to report this to a moderator.

(Quotes kept for context.)

Oh, so you're speaking in generalities?

My apologies.

Wouldn't you agree that, generally speaking, there are a few disingenuous a-holes roaming around the internet?

And no, I won't report to a moderator. There's nothing to report, right?

;)

As for another WOW moment in gaming, my Eastern Roman Empire campaign in Medieval 2: Total War - Broken Crescent mod warrants a mention.

Not a moment, really, but it was an absolute slog of a campaign that left me exhausted. Two Empires stood, I hold control of the West of the map, the Ghorids had control of the East.

In the ruins of Ancient Babylonia, we threw tens of thousands of troops at each other in a war that lasted years. I poured resources out of the Holy Land, just to reinforce the border and to take their cities in the region. At the height of the conflict, my offensive forces numbered almost 25,000 men, with my garrison troops being at least 8,000 strong.

But I didn't win the arm wrestle through pure weight of numbers, I eventually won by sending levies to the region instead of battle hardened elites, temporarily weakening my position, but then I raided Oman. That allowed me to send a 10,000 strong expedition across the channel and pincered the majority of their forces. Their armies were still strong, but the hard fought victories began to stack up, and as I started to take their cities, it became easier and easier to push through to the end.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood multiplayer. When you get a high score against really good players. Its not easy with this cat and mouse style game. Being hunted while your hunting someone else. The wow moment is seeing myself make number one after several games with really really good players.
Poison is so helpful in this.

If i havent had a heart-attack playing Assassin's Creed multiplayer, i dont think i'll ever will :)
I volumed up sound effects a lot just to hear that "whispers" and it really get tense after you get  some good scores without dying and have 3-4 predators on your back.

One of my best moment is like this;
I was the target of 2 templars, I spotted  one of them and start running after a long chase i used one of that door thingies. As soon as i made it otherside and got relieved, the other templar pistol shot my face...

Normandy Reborn in Mass Effect 2

Fighting Striders at the end of HL2

The first time I defeated an Ogre Mage in BG1. God that was a glorious victory.
