Almost 40, can't let go of PC-gaming (GT Caustic_Agent) as my favourite form of entertainment.
I am surprised so many are playing on consoles. It's not that you people just send your kids early to bed only to have the fun for yourselves, is it?

I still have a gaming rig for games like Diablo and Civ, but I've decided I like the couch over the computer chair.  So, if it's multi-platform, chances are I'll get for the 360 or PS3.  In regards to ME, I was actually between rigs when ME1 was released so I got it for the 360 and after that I was locked into it for the trilogy.

Cool to read these posts, thought I was the only ol' timer out there. Maybe I'll run into some of you online! I'm in my 30s on xbox ... tho I don't use a mic.

36, play on PC "PSUHammer"

I generally have avoided the MP craze over the last decade or so as I found online maturity lacking enough that it was annoying. That being said, since I stopped console gaming and focused on the PC, I have found the crowd to be much more mature (acting, anyway) on average.

I remember working at an Electronics Boutique in the early 90's and an elderly couple came in every few weeks to buy a new PC game to play together. They loved old Sierra adventure games. They were awesome. Gaming was their "thing" long before gaming was widespread. Hopefully my wife and I will be doing the same in retirement!

I have my own 360. Wife gave me a nice Christmas present that year.

Ah, Sierra. I was addicted to their games. Broke my heart when they stopped. So now I have a BroShep called Roger as a tribute to Wilco.

38 yo, married, and with kids. I've been playing games since arcades and Atari. I love games so much that I work for the oldest game publishing company in the world. Of all the games I've played, I have to say that Mass Effect is on the top of my list. Yeah, I'm old and I don't care. I wouldn't want to be young again... I'll leave that to the youngins.

Funny thing is, I feel like I bring a different sort of mentality to gaming now that I'm older. I read books on military strategy and such, and find that it helps me when playing war games. I just wish there were more like me out there. Is this forum the place?

I have King's Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc installed on my computers. Also, do you remember a game named Starflight? It's an old EA game very similar to Mass Effect.

Early bedtime kids. Daddy needs the Xbox.
The kids also know to stay out of my comfy recliner, which I need to sooth my old posterior.

Knew I wasn't alone.  43 here.  Two daughters, one of whom plays ME3 with me.  PC only.  My Origin ID: stew675

Who can guess what the 675 refers to (and it has nothing to do with dates)?

To the OP, I have a friend who plays ME3 on Xbox, PS3, and PC.  Everytime I see him on PC he's telling me just how unfriendly the XBox community is overall in comparison to PS3 and PC.  He says that the PC/Origin community is the most mature and friendly bunch to play with, PS3 is middle-ground, and XBox is full of arrogant kiddies who think they're god's gift to you to carry you through games.  His words, not mine, and he's in his 20's.

My reflexes are still very sharp.

22.

Yeah I'm a bit psychotic and like to taunt the AI. (Habit from playing too many single player games.) I usually only throw out tips if I can tell you're not used to playing the game but otherwise tend to just taunt the AI unless people ask me for help understanding things or I'm trying to coordinate a killbox.

I'm more of a freelance though. Not really looking for a group.

Don't get the wrong impression; not all of us young people are bad! I'm 19 and you won't catch me making unwarranted remarks about people's skill level or anything of a personal nature.

That said, my GT is in my signature. I play mostly gold, but I like to do silver and bronze as well. Just depends on my mood.

WOW,I just turned 17 but never mind that.......I just wanted to say how surprising it is to see that some people that are old enough to be my grandparents, let alone parents play this game xD
It's a great revelation

You think all those people who grew up playing games in the 80's and 90's just stopped playing?  Hardly....;)

I am your grandfather(61), so hold the line and kill some reapers, I want to see you grow up!  :P

21+ community. Tons of us play ME3 MP pretty often (if not nightly). Anyone looking for good squadmates ought to swing by and check us out.

Yes, yes it is.  Xbox, ps3 and PC games in the house.  We say it's for the little lad but he's 4 and pretty much sticks to the Lego games on the Xbox.

37, apologies in advance, I just can't pass up this opportunity to tell this story:

I'd been begging for months about getting a 2600. My birthday rolled around and I thought that this was going to be it. Last present . . .big enough box to hold it . . unwrapped it . . . Inside was a single, loose copy of Missile Command. I was entirely dumbfounded. Looked around for a bit, then asked, "Mom, where's the 2600?" She pointed to the game and then to our stereo, "you just play it with that, right?" I was crushed.

Granted, my birthday is only about 3 weeks from Christmas and Santa brought the 2600, but she let me believe for that full 3 weeks, never letting on at all, that she was so dumb that she thought you played Atari games using the 8-track port on a stereo. How could she have done that? So cruel . . .

I got a NES in 5th grade (a bit later than some of my classmates).  Guess what - it still works:wizard: (only if with Game Genie, though).

I've gotta say, a LOL coming out of the mouth (fingertips?) of a 40 year old is somewhat jarring. Oh internets.

Oh, and on a side note, you don't have to be 30+ to have played old crappers like Commodore 64s. Just sayin, some of us youngins' are cultured.

I'm 30, but I love fart jokes. Does that make me immature?
