So... I'm working on someone else's PW (World of Amon), where I used to play ages ago.

I hadn't played there in a while went it was finally archived. At some point horses were added.  I believe they are CEP horses (circa 2.2 maybe, judging from the haks), but I am not sure because there are a number of horse scripts IN the mod.  The "horse_inc" script says its by Greg Anderson.  I don"t know if that is the CEP horse package, and can't seem to find out.

I also can't get the damned things to work.

The mod drops them as treasure, but try to mount one and all you get is "that mount belongs to someone else" of whatever that annoying error is.

I have updated to full CEP 2.3.

I'm pretty sure the world was updated to 1.69 before I started.

Can anyone give me some pointers, or point me to some good documentation on the CEP horses? I've read the 1.69 horse stuff...

Does it give that message when trying to assign the mount as well, or just when trying to get on it?

when trying to assign it from the radial menu, it gives a different message. something along the lines of: you must use assign on....

I think I have determined that these are neither CEP nor 1.69 horses, but some other beast altogether.
