Well, that phrase can be a bit offensive for lots of persons Chris.

When you can barely recognize who is the responsible of big problem on a difficult situation, you do what you can to keep defending your ideals, because if you stop, your cause would fail.

For me at least, i will defend my ideals everyday of my life, as well as i can, on civilized way. That includes the fight for a happy ending for Mass Effect 3.

Side note: THBS runs the BW store, so if people don't want to buy merchandise to support BW, that's a perfectly reasonable course of action.

Before the release of ME3 I would most likely have been tempted to buy the n7 leather jacket.

After the release, and the ensuing baloney, though, not so much.

Good thing there was the leather jacket thread on the forum, though, as I got a link to site creating leather jackets from there that had some sweet stuff which I actually purchased from instead.
B)

Edit: I got a diablo3 tshirt I purchased while that game was still barely more than a few teaser trailers to most people, and feel 'odd' when I wear it since I decided not to purchase that game when I heard about Bliz-Acti's schemes for an always online world. Didn't want to make the same mistake twice, which is why I decided to wait till I had experienced proper what Bioware would do with Shepards last instalment. Good thing I didn't make any hasty purchases this time. :P

@morten n86: Well, hopefully they now realise they've gone too far and know that the customers aren't mindless dr*nes whom you can just collect money from. :/

Only sheer and utter dumbasses hang around companies for extended periods of time and whine about them rather than just not buying their product.  I see you are one of the herd.

You're sure they, like almost everyone else on this entire website, didn't just anticipate ME3 to be great, but were instead letdown?

Only sheer and utter dumbasses make baseless assumptions like you did.

@Beerfish: I'd like to add that only ignorant and careless customers keep on let this happening in the game industry. If you just shrug it off, then you ain't helping. You're not pointing out the flaws. Indifference is worse than criticism, because you're just letting the weed fester. So I could just as well say you're one of the herd of careless customers who don't give a damn and just let themselves get screwed over. Image IPB

It's the partial ME3 fanbase of nerdraging whiners who believe their way is THE way all must follow and if not you are STUPID, most of them are children or comic book guy kind of adults who can't say something without an insulting remark which they believe to be "witty".Same guys who have been whining since ME2, now they just have another excuse to do so, probably don't have anyone who pays attention to what they say in real life

Who isinsulting and 'witty'? Like to talk about yourself alot, hmm?

Sure it may be a bit rude, but from the consumers perspective we're the ones who have been treated badly. So I think it's good that the issue is still kept alive.

Besides, most of the comments on the pic was sarcasm.

Well freedom of expression I guess. Although it was the wrong place to post about endings I kinda agree with them to certain extent

To be honest I don't care about the merch, wouldn't buy it regardless. On whether it's fair or not for THBS to be spammed over this controversy, I actually believe it is a legitimate cost of doing business.

When an organization chooses to enter a business relationship with another party they inherit the baggage of their new partner. Therefore under a free market, the negotiated terms of trade will reflect the total cost of doing business. If McDonalds were to get a license to make Marlborough Man happy meal toys, they're going to make sure to cost in the storm that would result. In this extreme example, I believe that transaction costs are so expensive that McDonalds can't do business with Altria. In fact it got so expensive for Nabisco and Kraft to be associated with RJR that the parent company had to carve out the tobacco business from the conglomerate.

So really a business' behavior and reputation affects the transaction costs not only for themselves but all past and future business partners. Some people will not work for companies with bad reputations unless the compensation is increased to make up for the BS they deal with professionally and personally. (I notice a lot of grumpy forum mods, have you asked HR about needing extra vacation or compensation to handle the BS on this forum?)

I hope Ms. Chobot was well paid for her crappy lines for all the hate she received. You can bet she'll be wiser when doing such transactions in the future. You can also be sure that the hassle of dealing with this controversy will be reflected in terms of trade between EA and THBS if they weren't already priced in to the current dealings.

A business can mislead and insult customers all they want and they may even stay customers but you can be sure customers are going to make it expensive to deal with them in the future. (The business of cell-phone contracts). For BW you've already seen this in how much time paid employees have to spend time dealing with rage when they could be doing their real jobs in the office. And in future what it will it cost to get jilted ME3 customers to pre-order a future game, surely more than a couple of downloadable guns.

This would be a lot less ugly if there was more communication from Bioware. I remember that the forums were a lot happier in the few days following that unofficial PAX interview with Patrick Weekes. The fact that it's been months since the EC was announced and we've heard basically nothing since isn't doing much for people's state of mind.

Does this mean the store does not pay royalties? And bioware gets no % of sales, or flat fee? ^^

But either way, the idea isint to blame the right person, no no, that's what happens in a fair world, and we all know this world comes in 3 flavours? :P

But they are not changing the ending. They are rubbing it more in everyones face saying "DO YOU LOVE ME NOW?!". What are they supposed to market with, everything they could possibly say would be torn appart and if they would lie again or bend the truth, if you will, the outrage would be just as big.

I'm sorry, but this hate for the Endings is quite possibly more annoying than the hate for "The Phantom Menace."

BioWare made such an amazing game and people only seem to care about the negative things, if any. It is utterly pathetic. I honestly do not see any negative things in ME3. I liked the Ending I work hard for. I just want a different Flashback in the Ending for my "Personal" (Canon) Shepard (Not Liara), and I want to see the Closure (EC). That's it. No hate involved.

I'm a Hardcore Mass Effect Fan, but just because I am, doesn't mean I have to hate the Endings just to be one.

The Mass Effect sequels are certainly on the level of the Star Wars prequels quality wise.
