I can't believe this is still going on.

I must say I *really* don't get the complaints about the graphics. Unless my eyes are betraying me, I think ME3 is BioWare's best looking game to date. It's no Crysis, but it's definitely something. (Admittedly, though, the graphical leap was nowhere as big as it was from ME1 to ME2.)

There's an engineering dialog bug beyond Ken and Gabby's?

It's all the same bug; it also affects a couple comm chats Tali has with Garrus and EDI.

Ah. I see now.

That's the kind of bug I'm not likely to notice unless I'm reading through complaint threads -- after all, all that happens is that I don't get a dialog that I didn't know existed in the first place.

Fortumately for me, I've only played one ME3 game where Ken and Gabby were both alive anyway, and I had Ash for that one. So I didn't miss too much.

I think some of the environments look good. But I think some of the character models are really ugly. Compare Kelly in ME2 to Kelly in ME3 for instance.

Nothing is as bad as what DA2 did to Zevran.

Anyway, I never even saw Kelly for some reason, so I can't say how she turned out.

Some of the character models do look a bit off, I agree. Though, I personally thought Kelly looked alright.

The game in general looks more graphically adjusted than any other BioWare game IMO. Those ugly textures/models still appear here and there, but overall I believe ME3 is about as good as it gets graphics-wise.

I was more annoyed about the jumpy characters, people's heads looking the wrong way in conversations, one time Garrus dissapeared when the camera move to show him talking. Glitches like that are something that should only exist in ME1. Graphics were fine, these things are just out of place.

There is a scene in the film Citizen Kane (made in 1941) that is debated to this day. Kane has been argued to be one of the best films ever made and yet there is a highly contested element in the beginning that could rip the film from its very foundation.

What was that element, anyway? I don't remember the debate anymore.

Probably the continuity mistake of who was around to hear Kane's last words (nobody). But thats one small thing and standard movie fridge logic. Not the same kind of issue here. Also comparing such a movie to this game is a bit odd.

You and me both OP. I enjoyed the ending, but people are entitled to their opinions, but why for this long?

The Wiki says she only shows up if you did her romance track. I wonder if that's a bug itself.

As for graphics -- if we're counting animations as part of "graqphics" then yeah, I can think of a few wacky things that happened. Exorcist heads and whatnot.

@Dragoonlordz: Because stepping off the sinking ship would be like giving up. Giving up, as in staying quiet, is exactly what EAware is secretly hoping for.

Didn't you just say that you had already given up on BioWare a long time ago, though?

I'm getting dangerously close to making a "faith in humanity lost" post. I hate those posts but damn it if I'm not seriously starting to lose my patience with the constant derailment of everything Mass Effect 3-related on the Internet with ending nonsense. It wasn't even that bad. It was no worse than either of the previous two endings, in fact it was better just because it had three games' worth of build-up.

Halo: Reach does not give me any sort of optimistic outlook for the future of Mass Effect 3 discussion, especially with the extended cut and its guaranteed forum backlash looming on the horizon.

At least you could find some humour in patrolling the Mojave almost making you wish for nuclear winter and the vast number of people resigned to guard duty due to an epidemic of arrows in knees.

This. I LOVE the Graphics: Facial, Environments, etc. I also love the Sound Effects (Especially Weapons), the Music, and the Story.

I'm gonna have to jump into the graphics conversation really quick...

You think Kelly looks ugly in ME3? And Zevrann is ugly in DA2? Alright, that's wonderful and everything, but what's your point? You're aware that character models and art style is COMPLETELY different from graphics right?

If Bioware made the ugliest character of all time in Mass Effect 3, and the prettiest character of all time in ME1, the GRAPHICS in ME3 would still be better.

What he said wasn't in violation of the site rules.

Oh...if you see it that way...you must be stupid....Is that a violation?

I agree. He looks hideous.

But the graphics are still 1000x better than Origins. That game looks like sh*t.

Distinction without difference. When someone says ‘graphics’, they mean the picture they see on their screens, unless otherwise specified.

The picture on the screen is the game, and the game is much prettier, no?

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. For some reason the graphics, like for example the clothes look far more badly rendered in DA 2. Same with the environments and the hair. Everything looks kinda flat and two-dimensional.

@Ivandra

Well to each their own I suppose. I'm not saying DA2 looks perfect, but Origins was an ugly game with pretty characters. Bioware's seriously improved their hardware lately.

That's all I'm saying. It just bugs me when people complain about the graphics in the sequel, but not in the original game, because Bioware's graphics have been improving with each new title. They're not perfect, but if they didn't bug you before, why should they bug you now?

^ This, in a nut shell.  Bioware isn't the first game to change a character's model.  But, a character's model isn't what makes the "graphics" bad.   If the game is fuzzy, lacks anti-aliasing, washed out textures, or plagued with graphical glitches, then the graphics would be to blame.  The graphics in ME3 were rather impressive, in my opinion.  Compared to ME2, the textures are quite sharper, SSAO, excellent geometric detail, and the inclusion of 'god rays' during gameplay.  Both use the same game engine, so it's not a huge difference.  But I definitely see a little improvement.
