I'm gonna have to jump into the graphics conversation really quick...

You think Kelly looks ugly in ME3? And Zevrann is ugly in DA2? Alright, that's wonderful and everything, but what's your point? You're aware that character models and art style is COMPLETELY different from graphics right?

If Bioware made the ugliest character of all time in Mass Effect 3, and the prettiest character of all time in ME1, the GRAPHICS in ME3 would still be better.

^ This, in a nut shell.  Bioware isn't the first game to change a character's model.  But, a character's model isn't what makes the "graphics" bad.   If the game is fuzzy, lacks anti-aliasing, washed out textures, or plagued with graphical glitches, then the graphics would be to blame.  The graphics in ME3 were rather impressive, in my opinion.  Compared to ME2, the textures are quite sharper, SSAO, excellent geometric detail, and the inclusion of 'god rays' during gameplay.  Both use the same game engine, so it's not a huge difference.  But I definitely see a little improvement.

Whenever someone talks about textures, I always think about replaying MGS3 on the HD Collection for the 360. It's all pixely! D:

What we have here is a case of "do as I say, not as I do". CP has NEVER been respectful toward the fan community, I don't expect that to change any time soon. "Peremptory", "contemptuous" and "dismissive" are terms that best describe his approach, I'd say.

Very true.  Chris is one of the main reasons so many here believe BioWARE feels contempt for the fans of its games.

Sadly, I have to agree with you. :(

I'm trying to will myself into being interested in the forums, but it still seems to be an endless sea of complaining by people who apparently have yet to move on with their lives around here - oh well. As far as the complaints about the graphics go, that Kelly comment struck me as ridiculous. While I don't actually like Kelly particularly much (too touchy-feely for me), I don't believe that she qualifies as ugly. I don't think her hairstyle was the best ever, but eh. :P

And now back to work, after which I'll be popping some pills and swilling scotch a la Max Payne (EDI: that was a joke). I don't actually play BioWare games because I expect mind-blowing graphics. If they're reasonably spiffy and do the job, I'm cool with that. They should have upped their game on the textures perhaps, but ME3 was pretty good overall. I wasn't keen on the elves in DA2, but since someone brought the Zevran thing up, I would say that (despite the elves) the graphics were actually better than in DA:O.

Anyhow, when I want to savor rich, detailed graphics that are on the mind-blowing side of things, I'll either be playing Arkham City or Max Payne 3 in all likelihood (and oh, how I love thee right now, Max Payne 3).

Nah, it's just someone making claims. Those basement dwellers probably have other mindless retarded things to do. The anon name is just spammed by idiots all over net whenever their dummy is taken away from them by their mommys so the baby chooses to use their name as some sort of threat. BSN has been DDoS many times so that childish threat carries no weight these days.

Still going?

Good.

You feel the venom Bioware? You feel the rage you have created?

I know you don't care, but I hope you do feel it. There are thousands of people out there who hate your guts.

Because these comments don't scream ''whining''... they are really hateful. People hate you.

Then those thousands of people need to get a grip on reality or do something more productive than whining about a video game over such a long period of time and stop crying over spilt milk like a bunch of babies who have had their dummies taken away. Time they started to get over it and play something else, leave their feedback and come back next title see if something they might want as opposed to whining 24/7 till they keel over of old age. Those comments do not scream hate, they scream whining and your comment is the one screaming hate for them. Seriously go follow around CDP-R or Bethesda, maybe even latch onto an indie dev for your replacement of emotional dependance and realise your talking about video games not Bioware kicking your kittens or grandmother down flight of stairs.

Does everyone forget that this is the exact same thing which happened when DA2 was released? It took more than 3 months for the whiners to move on from that. Same thing here.

Give it time. Whiners gon' whine ... the majority of them just take time to move on. Most of them already have ... the number of whining posts on this forum has reduced since the initial furor.

Pretty much. There will always be those who linger on because they can't find something better to do with their lives or time however just like DA2 and I was there throughout during that on the other side of the fence, more time passes the more rational (most) people become. For the most part I can't help but feel that the one's who whine the most are actually doing so only to keep themselves angry as possible and their hatred alive because not whining would reduce their hatred as they move on to do and play other things.

I bet most (not all) of them have not even played the game more than once for fear they would not hate it as much as they once did. A prime example is I did not give DA2 a glowing review by any means but I was not on the extreme bitter hatred unlike some, even though I did not enjoy it first time and could not play through again so sold it... When months had passed and played it again it was far less annoying even if was never going to fill me with glee as a title and core game outside of DLC; the issues were less grating and I could play through it again once more.

Now that time has passed both me and others whether like or disliked DA2 in my case can actually talk about the title and discuss on the DA2 section of the site in polite reasonable way since the most bitter and twisted hatred spewing ones are no longer there and appear to have migrated away from BSN or switched to the ME3 section to spew their vitriol and disdain at a developer 'they' chose to buy from.

This won't completely stop until the EC is released. The EC will either be great and give people no reason to b*tch about the endings anymore, or the EC will suck and most people will just give EA/Bioware the same middle finger they've given us and move on.

They're calling it Extended not the Final Cut, there is the problem. I doubt something so nonsensical and broken can be remedied by extending it.

Whereas I think the EC will make ME3 a better game when all is said and done. See? Depending on who you ask...

Yes but without replacing things entirely ... things that make no sense, these are fundamental problems with the facts as they are presented, not just opinions of like it/hate it. Overall enjoyment may be incrementally improved, but I find it hard to see anything past the huge errors in the writing unless it gets scrapped and serious effort is put in this time.

Yeah, sure, Treehouse makes the shirts but >BIOWARE is seling them< and the complaints are >ON< Bioware's Facebook advert for those T-shirts.

"If you're going to complain about us not working on the EC, at least blame the right group, or you look pretty stupid."

I didn't see anyone there blaming Treehouse Brand for giving us a bad ME3 ending, did you?  So apparently, no one is "stupid" as you claim they are, since they seem to actually be blaming the developers.  Also, I saw no one complaining about "not working on the EC",  it was more along the lines of 'we aren't buying your product until we get a real ending'.

How do you know how much it costs?

Right now, since we've heard NOTHING about it and it still hasn't come out in the three months since the end of the game, I'd guess it isn't a huge priority for BW.

Further, your example is flawed.

It's more like a bunch of paying customers got shafted by a purchase from a trusted provider of goods.  Then told they were wrong for expecting what they were told to expect for years.

Then when the trusted provider finally agreed that the 70,000 people who spoke up might have a point, they agree to address those customers concerns...... except they aren't fixing the problem at all.  Instead they are giving the customers more of what they didn't want in the first place.

It's not hard to grasp the "good" & "bad" concept. If the product is "good", then the customer will praise the product. If the product is "bad", then the customer will hate the product. Simple.
