I am getting so tired of that. I am guaranteed to "lose connection" the first 2 times I try and play multiplayer....usually in the first round. It then kicks me back to the main menu page and then when I try multiplayer, it just stays on the "working" page forever. I have to exit out of the game, force the EA server service off, then restart the game to connect. Sometimes forcing an update in Origin fixes the problem. If I manage to play a full map, it seems to be fine the rest of the time I am playing....with the exception of buying spectre packs.
This topic needs to be a sticky until they fix this. I have a 22Meg connection so obviously I have enough badwidth and this is the ONLY thing I lose connection to.
I don't know how many consumables I have had stolen from me because they go away even when it is obviously their fault and I "lose connection" in the first round of a map.....most likely because of their DRM which doesn't stop the theives anyway.
The other thread about this got closed due to off topic posts. Let's keep this one on topic so it stays on the front page where it belongs until they fix the problem.
"lost connection to the ME3 server"

Same. But I'm lucky if I can even connect in the first place half the time.

I guess we must be the "vocal minority" about this too? or do they need to hire some better server devs?

I just recently was able to get back to playing video games after a long quarter at college only to find that I can't play a single match of ME3. it usually lags then says you lost connection to the server and I am positive it isn't anything on my end. well I guess I can keep trying or go on to play other games.

Same problem. Some days are better than others. Today has been a beat w/ this problem. I have enough promoted that I never have to play MP again. If this issue isn't fixed at some point that just may be the case.

Had this problem before. Been free from it the last two times i come online but this issue is fairly ridiculous. Better promote enough so i got no need to play MP in case this keeps on

I don't mean to beat a dead horse but I think the problem lies with two simple letters, "E" and "A". I've played some online games (from F2P MMOs to something like Guild Wars) but never have I had the atrocity that is the ME3 MP. I honestly don't remember the last time I had an online service lag this bad to the point where I get disconnects 24/7. Their servers are the epitome of the adjective "atrocious". It took some intense willpower for me to promote my Soldier class (which will be the final class I will max out before I am officially done with this). They can host all the weekend events they want but if the servers continue to be like this, nobody would give a damn about trying to kill a billion Phantoms or promote a billion characters. I certainly stopped caring about all that about a month ago.

I get the problem as well. I haven't noticed any pattern to it, the game just randomly disconnects me. Sometimes it will be in the first 1-3 waves, sometimes it will be wave 11, I've even been disconnected while editing my loadouts before joining a game.
I've lost a lot of equipment from this, so much so that I don't think I'll be using any more until they sort the problem out.

This problem always makes the first 30-40 mins a complete waste of time. Is it just "sod's law" that the DC issue will occur on wave 10 or 11 ? I've had a fair few times where I've DC'd just as the extraction timer counts down to ZERO. Maybe the problem is trying to poke fun at how many credits I will have earned while wasting my time with a match that I can't finish.
Plus there's the issue of being seen as an **** by people in general for "leaving" a match and quite possibly contributing to other people dying. I'm sure they can manage without me but it still sucks to just have to leave like that.

Yeah same here. No issue on Xbox but when I play it on PC I have issues. I was hoping to see if there was a pattern in the other ppl having an issue. I thought it might be graphics card problems or maybe duel monitor problems or maybe having an XBOX and a PC copy that I play that some how goofs up because of the manifests, etc. But there doesnt seem to be any sort of pattern. That has to make it had for Bioware to figure out what's going on.

I have almost the twice of the games finished in disconnection than in extraction/failure
And, buying spectre packs, the 80-90% of the times I have to wait the 2-3 minutes until disconnection time-out
This makes the game almost unplayable since the release of the patch 1.03

I had this situation:
After the Rebellion DLC I was unable to connect to Multiplayer. The game "said" it was connected to EA servers, but each and every time I tried to start Multiplayer, it loaded quite a while, and then "You lost connection...".
This problem disappeared when I got a faster internet, but it reappeared when the Earth DLC came out. And I noticed one more thing - when I tried updating the game:
1. It started off with 100%, then the system (Windows 7) asked me "Do you want to allow the ... to make changes ...", I chose OK, and the update finished after a while (it is always 100% completed by the way).
2. The Multiplayer was still losing connection every time when I tried to start it.
3. I tried updating again, and it went exactly as point 1.^
4. When I try to update again, just after updating once, it says that the game is fully updated, and no new updates are available.
