Hello all.

Just some musings on ME3 and the latest bug I run into:

Whenever i start ME3 up with a conenction to Xbox Live established the game:
  • Loads Title Screen
  • I press 'Start'
  • The game attempts to connect to EA servers (no notification of failure or success)
  • The game checks downloadable content (for a second, two at most)
  • The game checks save data (again, two seconds at most)
  • The game checks downloadable content again
And at that point, it hangs. Animation present on screen, I can press 'Y' to bring up the EA 'Galaxy at War' screen, but cannot do anythinh else at that point. It just perpetually checks downloadable content.

When I disable my connection to Live, and start the game, no problems.
This undoubtedly means I cannot play multiplayer.

Any idea what is causing it and how I can fix it?

I have done the usually suggested maintenance, cleared cache, etc.

If i have to wait for another patch to fix this, I'll be pretty p****d off.
I already put off playing until the import bug had been fixed, and even then it didn't work properly.

Thanks for any advice.

Kaj

EDIT:
After disabling my wireless connection, i used ethernet (wired) to my router.
I then (whilst still disconnected form XBL)
  • Pressed Start
  • Options
  • Online
  • Set 'Feedback' & 'EA Server Connect at Launch' to ON.
  • Opened Xbox Guide
  • Connect to Live
  • Back to ME3
  • Save game
  • Main Menu
  • It works. I'm connected to Live and can now access multiplayer.
I think it may have been the EA connect at launch being unticked.
Either way, problem fixed for now, maybe make this a solution for anyone else with my problem.

Thread can be closed now.

This fixed for me in 30 seconds what Bioware and EA could not do in 2 and 1/2 months. Thanks!
