Technically, Added choices while talking to Starbringer is new gameplay. Gameplay doesn't always have to be TPS action.
I'm not playing with words. They will probably implement easy stuff into the game like additional dialogue options and cutscenes, but no more fights and "quests to resolve" of any sort. I'm sure that even just this additional "content" must be a hassle to program in order to fit neetly into the game. But without going on these grounds, I cannot believe that all the bits and pieces of "evidence" brought forward in support of IT in the past months could be wrapped-up in some "closure content". This would mean that the devs' statements were just BS, that all players from all ending options have been denied of the crucial experience of terminating this game with their own choices and actions, that they were simply "misled" and lived through all these frustrating emotions to be told later that it just was not "real". Maybe it can be fancied by some fans that they would resort to that just for the kicks of it, but from a game developer that wishes for continuation with the same fans, I doubt they would take a nebulous trip on the IT road, mostly because it is not firmly established itself among its supporters. Many "variations" of IT arose, with disparate evidence shooting in all directions, making some of the mid-grounded players rejecting it. If this IT is not cemented in a solid set of characteristics and events, then Bioware will probably just see it in the same uncertain perspective as the various moderate non-supporters that expressed their reasonable opinions against IT.
