Wild guess: The dreams were dreams. What a surprise...

And it's by coincidence that the dreams came up after facing the reapers and their focres on the mission. Remeber, the libic system is where your dreams happen. And indoctriantion manipulates the limbic system.

1.it makes more sense for the reapers to try to take out the whole fleet as well.

2. that will presumably be answers in EC...

however  it is possibe that IT can be a way to actually defeat the repears. (my personal speculation at this point)

in my eyes I view IT as a huge, epic mental boss battle with harbinger. perhaps, after choosing detroy, harbinger is destroyed in the real-world, or maybe even the reaper fleets shields are taken down. (similar to how killing saren disabled sovereign in me1), this then allows the alliance fleet to have fair odds in destroying the reapers and a chance for your war-assets and choices to shine.

1. Can they do that? If they can, then why not?

2. The reapers are independet, no? If one reaper's shield has been taken out, does it mean every other reaper got his sheild taken out?

1. isnt that what the point of battle is? one side try to beat the other?

2. the reapers have a consensus.

and thats just a way to explain it- just to show that it can be done.

Very good point. I think Anti ITers skip such crucial information often, or say ITers are digging too deep.
What is deep in a complex story?

As I said(didnt read that post, i think), They probably never got the chance(the destroyers shepard faced were all pretty much dead already) and didn't bother putting extra effort into taking down shepard(like sending in a reaper fleet to Tuchanka or Rannoch immediately). As for Thessia, i don't think the reapers took notice, honestly.

I realise this is me trying to find an explanation that supports my viewpoint but it is at least somewhat reasonable, yes? Even if viewed as a plothole, IT is one of the better theories that can fix and improve upon several ME currently has, especially its ending

Yeah, it's possible I didn't read your post, sorry for that. too many posts to answer for...

Why not bring reaper force to Tuchanka or Rannoch? The reapers could work very fast. Why not bring more and be done with it?

You are free  to make any explanation or speculation you want. Just be sure I'll try and dismiss it B).

its evident the reapers cannot work that fast. otherwise the galaxy would be cleansed in a matter of weeks, not centuries (according to liara)

Wait, when do the dreams occur again?

It's been a while since I played ME3. :pinched:

well, the dreams DO have those reaper noises, and the last dream showed shepard dying with the kid?

I dont its very common for that to happen in a normal-uninfluenced dream. also in one dream shepard wasnt even in his bed! he was sitting down, looking at a datapad!

Like I said, it's a dream. I dreamed once I was a hamster that got killed by a truck. I don't think it meant that I'm a hamster. Or that I will be killed by a truck.

Shepard was tired. Didn't s/he just opened her eyes, like s/he woke up while sleeping for a second? And it could be that Shepard thought about a dream s/he had.

Shepard feared the reapers. Shepard can say how much s/he was afraid a few times in the game. Is it really THAT surprising s/he dreamed about the reapers?

EDIT: Wait, facing the reapers?!?? That never happened. Didn't you mean the noises?

The first one happens after the palven moon mission.
the second one happens after the last mission on tuchanka.
the third happens after the last mission on rennoch.
The last one happens after sactuarty/before the cerberus base.

Yeah, but if reapers were real and in your town and sending waves to your limbic system, maybe you would have different dreams or they would mean something :)

Well you did face a reaper directly in Tuchanka, hell you even defeated one in Rannoch and talked to him. Or maybe you didn't?

Added, he's facing beings that can manipulate the libic system by just beingThe libic system is were dreams come from. Saying they are just dreams is ignoring the fact that the reaper if given the chance will always try to indoctriante Shepard. If  they were trying to in ME2 and they have Shepard right next to a reaper or reaper forces who can indoctriante, why would they try to indoctriante Shepard then.

Still, the reapers can still bring more reapers. The reapers landed on Rannoch and Tuchanka. Did they honetly didn't see Shepard there and brought more reapers there?

And on Earth at the start. No reaper seemed really intreseted in Shepard. They surely knew s/he was there. Why not try and capture him/her?

And (not 100% sure) weren't the harvested let the reapers know who they were fighting with? If Shepard did Thessia, and the harvested tracked him/her, didn't the reapers know about it?

And there's a reaper in the back ground on palven's moon.

I'm going to try looking this up, shame my googling skills suck. :pinched:

Why would they bring more reapers if there goal is to gain the support  of the geth and are using the geth to fight?

If the reapers are indoctrinate thorgh the... that system. Then the reapers didn't even need to kidnap. They could just try and indoc Shepard even harder. Insted of months, the indoc will take days. Maybe even hours.

That is writers decisions you are talking about. It's like watching a movie and thinking why he runs straight from a huge ball and not just to the side to avoid it :)
