No, if someone repeatedly says that there is a unicorn in their backyard, and we demand that they provide factual evidence of this, and they are unable to, I am still not responsible to prove the existence of this unicorn. The lack of evidence is proof itself.

IT supporters have provided evidence here on this thread, yet you ignore them and side-track into arguments such as "what constitutes a theory". I can either assume you are a coward, talking out your ass, or a troll, possibly all three.

The difference is IT believers aren't just saying there's a unicorn in the backyard. There are in game events that can either be taken as terrible writing and game mechanics or indoctrination. For instance, Shepard's breath scene can be seen as "There's no way he could have survived all of that so it must never have happened." Or "Since I did so well at collecting war assets my Shepard was granted the ability to survive the Citadel blowing up with him on it" There are many other things similar to that. Do they prove indoctrination? Not at all. However, calling people stupid for choosing to interperet things a certain way isn't the right way to handle it. Truth is, the extended cut cannot disprove Indoctrination Theory only prove it.

The "IT" is a lot like Tommy Wiseau claiming "The Room" is a "Dark Comedy" after it was panned to high hell in an attempt to save face. The key difference here however, is that the ITers actually believe their own BS.

That's because it was a disingenuous comparison. The theory of evolution cannot in anyway be compared to the Indoctrination delusion because one is based on observable fact and the other is a joke.

While I agree that most people saying they are firm believers of IT are most likely grasping at straws, I think this is not a reason to insult them by calling them stupid, weak minded or such.

If you cannot present an argument without insulting people, I'd say you should refrain from posting altogether. By doing so you lost credibility from the very start.

And EC will disprove IT very soon now, what is the point of making a topic about this knowing it will incite a flame war ?

I find it hard to take him seriously because he constantly sidesteps questions and goes off on other subjects.
