RUN FOR THE HILLS, JACKSWYR BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!!

I don't get it.  ??

You will, dont worry.

P.S. When you get to [spoiler deleted] in ME3, turn off the game. Trust me, it will make the game less painful.

Thanks, but I just want to experience it.  From what I've read some people like the ending but most don't.  Not knowing ANYTHING about the game is what makes it interesting.  One thing for sure is there is a LOT of controversy about the ending.
I'll just deal with it when the time comes.  I equate it to writing books which is what I do.  If people don't like the ending they can write a book themselves.  Kinda what Rowling said.  If I hate it then I move on to another gmme.  There's so many good games coming out.

Well then, good luck. Also what class will you be using?

I dunno. Really don't know what to expect actually. Maybe I'll do like I did in Skyrim, play all the classes one after the other.

By the way, I want to thank ALL of you for the advice I have recieved tonight. I appreciate it greatly.

By the way, compared to other forums I would like to mention that you all write cogently, with some wry humor, seem very intelligent, and so far I have not seen any typos. I'm not a grammar troll or anything but it does distract and makes me want to take what they say a little less seriousely.

This forum will be a gold mine of information when I need it. I will be getting the games on Monday and intend on jumping right in with ME1. I look forward to it as the other games I'm playing are getting a little long in the tooth.

I should warn you, be very careful of spoilers.  Even here in the "No Spoilers" forum.

You may have heard, ME3 caused a bit of a...stir.  And emotions still run high months later.

Thanks, I will.  I won't use it unless I'm desperate for answers.  I can see people's posts here on this forum and there's a LOT of emotions.  I guess people have invested a lot of time and emotions in this game which to me makes it more than a game, it makes it more like an experience.  I can't blame people, it just shows how good the writers were.

You really should be starting with the first game, not the third.

The third game is a good entry point.

<_< just like starting with the last chapter of a book <_<

I couldn't even type what I did with a straight face. I was laughing the whole time.

Well, I was wondering why you said that.  LOL!  You're right about the book analogy.

ME1 Combat can be tedious, but the main story is solid enough on its own.

And there is plenty of excellent support for ME1 and ME2, depending on where you want to start, so that you can quickly move to ME2 and then to ME3.

And on a personal note, I just hope that the EC will be worth the wait.

Mass Effect wiki (For Lore and Stuff) and an Instruction Booklet...oh wait those don't exist anymore (Btw what's with the disappearance of Instruction Booklets, My game cases feel too light)
So try Reading the Tutorials and such.
also Hold off on ME3 and play the first two,
and 1/2 of your issues will be gone.

I accepted Chris Priestly's challenge (challenge accepted!) and played my first game as a new player with a default femshep. Then, imported a save and the differences were amazing. It's not that they're so great they change the game, a lot of them are just cosmetic, but seeing people or recognizing little things from the first two games does greatly improve the experience. For me, anyway.

I don't think I'm qualified to give advice, but the one thing I would tell you to do is; buy the dlc. Especially Lair of the Shadow Broker, the Arrival and Project Overlord.

Stop playing Mass Effect 3, go out and buy the first two games, then play ME3.

It's short for Extended Cut.

That big stir I mentioned earlier?  It has to do with the ending to Mass Effect 3.  It was bad.  Really, really bad.  Unprecedented, really.  So Bioware is creating an extended ending as DLC to provide "clarity and closure"  Some people think this will fix the ending.  Others are skeptical.  And some think it's totally past redemption.  One way or another, we'll find out this summer.

There are enough of us veteran ME fans about, that did not like certain elements of different aspects of the three ME games.

And the elements can vary greatly, for example, I happen to loath the child sequence, the various dream sequences and the ending star-child elements that we get in ME3, which all should become clear enough as you move through ME3, that I hope to not spoil.

I'm sorry but why the hell are you playing the third before the first or the second? Did you watch star wars episode six first then start back at one?
If your playing PC then you have absolutly no excuse to not play the first ME first, then second, then third. Get your priorities streght.
