im more dissapointed with the linear story, lack of dialogue with crew, lack of seeing consequences that arent hand waved.......i mean its not hard to make a list of places ME3 fell short. you might like it becasue you arent invested since '07 and already are aware of its failings. i dont want to say its that your hopes arent high, its that you dont really have any hope to think about. the series is over. youll complete the 3 games, then move on to whatever game you want ot play next. youll never have the experience of playing ME1 50+ times, ME2 6ish times, and ME3 only once. its a dissapointing evolution. most of us will dwell over the 'what ifs' and 'what could have beens' of the ME franchise.
...untill the EC is released and then all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.

complaining about the ending is easy.

Well, for what it's worth I feel the same way about the so-called terrible ending in ME3 as I do about the powers that be shutting down Firefly. Now that was a cool series and I was very disappointed in the ending of the TV show AND the movie but what can I do? Move on.
I don't understand so many people's hostility. Life is full of disappointments. I will probably get as emotionally involved with the story arc as evenyone else and if ends poorly, well I have to deal with it. There's no such thing as a perfect game really.

Given that ME2 consistently wins the "What was your favourite of the series?" polls, it's a little presumptuous to think that OP won't like it.The Spamming Troll wrote...
dont you wish someone would have told you you didnt need to waste your time reading those books that you didnt like?
thats what im doing for you right now!
I thought Serenity was a great movie. What was your issue with it?JackSwyr wrote...

Fair enough. I thought it did as good a job as it could wrapping up the series in just two hours, but I respect your opinion otherwise.JackSwyr wrote...
Off topic Serenity. Wash got killed. Joss never got Mal to connect with Anara. We never knew why the Alliance was after River, they suddenly let her go after we learn where the reavers came from? Never got to know how River got her powers. Book got wasted. I thought it was a good movie but it left a lot of unanswered questions. Zoe's seeming lack of emotion after Wash gets killed, she seemed more stolid than she usually was in the show because she LOVED Wash. Mal was not himself in the movie, he was extremely angry all the time. At least and finally Kaylee got together with Simon.

@Spamming Troll, I detect a little hostility from you. Why is that? It's only a game man, I mean it's the journey not the destination. I don't give a rip about the ending to ME3. To me these are just games and nothing more. If the ending is sub-par then so be it. I'm not the artist, Bioware is. I enjoy the art they create regardless of the ending. It's kinda like modern art I guess.
Cheers.
I have learned to really, really hate that phrase. It's quite simply not true, as my experience with ME3 has demonstrated to me. IF the destination isn't where you want to go, then the journey becomes pointless.
For myself, if you already own the trilogy. play it and see (and judge) for yourself. Might as well do it once just to see what all the fuss is about. You might even agree

DO NOT BUY THESE GAMES! THE LAST GAME WILL HAVE YOUR SHEPHERD BE DEAD WITHOUT ANY OPTIONS! YOU'LL HAVE NO HAPPY ENDING IF YOU GO THROUGH THIS ROUTE!

That's NOT going to help. Please be respectful of others who do want to jump into the franchise.

Funny. Did it hurt you when you realized your Shepherd will never have a happy ending with his LI and never make babies. BTW, what I said is simply true.Galactic Runner wrote...

Not really. What hurt was the mind-numbingly stupid logic of the catalyst. I could care less about Shepard dying in one (or all) of the endings.

I'm at the point where I have to find Harkin on the Citadel. I have been taking my time looking at everything, exploring, talking to everyone, and looking at items for sale from all the merchants.
I'm playing on a PC I built which is OC'd to 3Ghz. I also am playing with an Xbox 360 wired controller programmed and modified by me using Xpadder. I respond to forum posts on my iPad.
Impressions so far? I like it. I would love to live on the Citadel. There's a lot of political intrigue, great voice acting, outstanding graphics, cool music, they even have muzak in the elevators. I have a lot of codex entries to read to get me up to speed on things. So far I am loving it. And I don't care HOW it ends.

2) Ignore the vast majority of users who whine and ****, it's your journey, it's your play through, it is YOUR decision on how you enjoy the entire trilogy once you've completed it.
