 Whenever I start a new game everything is fine until the first scene with the kid playing with the toy ship. Right when it cuts to Shepard the audio just stops working, & everyone but Shepard is not loaded with the proper textures. Then in the first dialogue option when Shepard responds to Anderson the game freezes although not the xbox itself as I can return to the xbox dashboard. I have tried again & again multiple times all with the same exact results at the same times. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your game installed to your HD? I know it's not the same, but after I installed both disks to the HD I ran into a freezing issue when recruiting Javik and it consistently froze in the exact same spot until I uninstalled the game.

Also, have you made any calls to EA's support line?

Found out my problem. My disc has a faint circular scratch half way around the disc. Appreciate the help though.
