I would be incredibly happy with a no-voice acting ending where the music overpowers all the noises and words of the scene, and we just see, let's say, Miranda pulling Shepard out of the rubbles... and yeah, let's be romantic, embrace him. No need for voice-acting.

This would be awesome. I'd prefer the VA actually coming back but this would suffice.

And even if Ali Hillis should be "too expensive", they whould just take another VA.
Taking a character out of the EC because they can't get its previous VA, what a ridiculous thought...

PS: They already switched VAs in localised versions.

Mhh, it might be one of several reasons.
"Fans of squadmember X won't get any X-related stuff in the EC because they might be upset about a new voice actor" whould sound like a pretty lame excuse to me.

Whether or not Morinth's original voice actress was available, I'd bet that the decision not to bring her back as a character was based more on the fact that very few people recruited Morinth. For the average person that played Mass Effect 2, Morinth was just a person they killed on Samara's loyalty mission.

She does appear in game but not really how anyone expected her too.

I don't think anyone can say "poor Jacob". People hated him. His lack of role in ME3 is probably a result of that.

It should be said "poor Jack" such a great character and barely saw any of her at all

You my friend I like. She had soooo much depth but they kind of pushed that aside a little bit. I really wanted to see more of this motherly badass Jack.

Well considering Miranda is both voiced and modelled on Yvonne Strahovski, it would be awkward and obvious if it was a different VA

Does anyone know if she is on or will be on the extended cut? I googled this and didn't turn up a lot except some weird fanfiction. Also, has anyone besides the confirmed said anything about them being on the extended cut?

 

Nobody knows. And Yvonne never talks about projects under NDA on twitter, so we'll never know until the EC release or an announcement by Bioware.

I was probably one of the few people who had a renegade save where I specifically saved Morinth, just to see what they would do with her in ME3. Very disappointed by what happened with her.  I felt horrible for betraying Samara like that and it was all for nothing.  


As for Yvonne Strahovski coming back, I bet they could splice up her lines from ME2 and 3 and make her sound reasonably good for the EC DLC. I've seen YouTube videos with spliced lines that sound pretty good for amateurs. I'm assuming Bioware could do it better.
