I couldn't care less whether one or the other voice actor re-appears in the EC, to be honest. Answers to all of the plotholes and space magic have priority.

This. But if the EC amazingly manages to clean up the horrible mess of an ending, having the original voice actors there would be nice. But you're right. A sensical ending comes first.

@americanidiot53: Yeah, I meant, story and explanations first. If the voice actors can provide a meaningful contribution to the EC, then they certainly should make an appearance. Mere fanboyism concerning Yvonne is rather beside the point here.

Cant they just copy and paste voice samples from other games and make new conversations from them?

I was not aware of this possibility. Whether or not I destroyed Maelon's data in ME2 Eve lives every time in my games. Weird.

@Queen Ultima yeah, I can see it being a budget and time issue. I just feel the ME 2 squad was kind of pushed aside. Especially poor Jacob. I really hope space hamster returns.

I don't think anyone can say "poor Jacob". People hated him. His lack of role in ME3 is probably a result of that.

And some people loved him.

That's why he has a thread on BSN.

Further haven't you made in the past the claim that the people on the forums don't represent the opinions of the majority of the people who play mass effect (in regards to the ending)?

sry yo but the MAJORITY DOES hate kanye..oups i mean jacob
He is 96% probably the most hated character in the ME universe...i know truth hurts but... c est la vie

As far as human female squadmates go, both Jack and Kasumi are far better than either.

I'll agree that Miranda was a bit of a shallow character in ME2. However, the direction that Bioware was taking with her in ME3 was good in my opinion. A real progression for her character. The problem is we only got 2 minutes of that "new" Miranda... As with just about every other ME2 squadmate...

Huh? She was complex in ME2. One of the more complex characters in the game. You just have to work to see it (as it should be).

Ok. I see where you're coming from. I'm talking mainly from the viewpoint of those who didn't do Miranda's loyalty mission or didn't actually try to connect with her as a character. I agree with you. Trust me; Miranda's one of my favorite characters (behind Garrus). But, on the surface level, she appears to be more shallow than other characters such as Tali or Liara.

Ah, I get you. Spot on. And I kinda prefer the character that way, actually. Not everyone is an open book.

p.s. Garrus rocks.

Indeed. That's one of the things I love about Bioware's games too; they do characterization better than any other studio out there. In fact, I daresay that's what makes the Mass Effect games so special. Not the story (although it is good), not the setpieces, but the characters.

You mean reinforce the daddy issues theme that people were complaining about back before Lair of the Shadow Broker was even out?

Of all the characters from ME2, Miranda is the only one I could have really cared less about, and after seeing her storyline in 3, could have cared even LESS after the fact.

In the end, she helped solely out of self interest.

Miranda is almost tied with Allers in my book.  Both shallow characters who are solely there as eyecandy.

Jack on the otherhand.....

I'll give you Jack as a deep character but Miranda had something under the surface. At first glance, yeah she is just shallow b*tch but if you got to know the character you saw her as a caring sister and a person with father issues. You also saw her unhealthy strive for perfection and lack of belief in her own abilities. Give the writers a little more credit for her development.

It sounds like you and I have different interpretations of Miranda's story. Where you see daddy issues, I see a reflection on the nature of the "perfect" person. I felt that Bioware was asking the player to look inside Miranda and see that on the inside she wasn't perfect even though she looked so on the outside. As stupid as it may sound to you, I think that Miranda (perfect) striving for the death of her father (imperfect- murder, yada yada) is a great look at the inversion of what a normal human strives for.

It might not work for you with Miranda as a character, but that's how I see her. Not trying to force this view on you; it's just how I see her.

And yes! Jack is an awesome character; her loyalty mission was haunting.
