pfffft no. I am done with EA. I preordered the Collector's edition of Dead Space 2 as soon as I could. Dead Space 3 though I'm going to buy that used. I'm done giving money to EA.

All I'm hoping for the EC to achieve is to backtrack away from the bleak miserable 10,000 year dark age of the galactic wasteland and reunite Shep with the Normandy crew in the one ending they survive.

If it doesn't manage that, which would turn one of the worst endings in game history into just really disappointing and lame, then I don't see any point in buying any DLC. I've not even got From Ashes, and only done a single playthrough of 3, with no intention or will to do a second.

I'd maybe get another game from Bioware, but I wouldn't preorder, and I'd wait for customer reviews and spoilers to gauge wether it would be worth it.

I'd certainly be VERY wary of another save transfer series like ME and DA, since theyve proved they can't be trusted to handle lore, continuity or characters properly between installments.

If the game turns out to be fine, as said by users (no, not reviewers), then I could buy it. As long as the product is good, I have no problem buying it.

Ooh, it's been a long time since I've had to answer this question!

Until the extended cut has been released and can be judged, I'm not purchasing any EA/BioWare or franchise-related product. (Hopefully it comes out soon so I can get David's comics!)

If the extended cut is satisfactory, I plan to purchase future single-player DLC, as long as Mike takes care of his part. (If Mike doesn't come through, then I may not buy all DLC immediately on release, although I'd eventually get it all.) Future games from this team will still have to be evaluated, so it's not guaranteed I'll pre-order or buy on release, and I'm not really looking forward to any future Mass Effect games in any event.

If the extended cut just doesn't work for me, then I won't be purchasing any ME3 DLC (with only one exception). Future BioWare games will likely only be purchased when they're on sale for less than $30, as is currently the case for all other EA games.

After the extended cut is released, none of this applies to the DA team. They have my business for as long as they stay relatively inviolate and keep pumping out goodness.

I'm still going to buy Bioware games and DLC no matter what the EC does. As much as I didn't like the ending, it's still the first strike I have against Bioware. I actually liked DA2, so I can't really fault them for that, and I didn't care about The Old Republic either way. And yeah I hate EA, but I'm not about to miss out on a ((potentially)) amazing game because of it.

I don't care how good or bad the EC turns out to be, Bioware has lost my my money for life. Just like Square-Enix.

If I find out a game I want is made by Bioware or Square-Enix I will not buy it. I don't care if the game turns out to be the greatest game ever made in the history of mankind and will never have a surpasser, still won't get it.

1st strike: extremely linear story of ME2-3 & DA2.
2nd strike: the horrible game DA2
3rd strike: ME3 ending (entire franchise is tainted beyond redemption)

It depends on whether I find said products interesting enough to purchase The EC has no effect on that.

Dont let the door hit you...

Seriously, why are people like you even here? You say you are not interested in BioWare or its games ... maybe trying to poison the experience for those who do not hate it?

There was a Bioware game that came out recently before ME3.... Kingdoms of Amalore. I had $60 going into gamestop recently, and I got... Dragon's Dogma. I could have gotten the other game... it's a complete game too. It might have been better. Bioware's strength were their stories and characters. If they've shown an inability to make a decent ending.... then what they're known for is average. Other studios who are better at gameplay and multiplayer, inovation.... these will be getting the money.  At best, bargain bin second hand purchace unless someone I know says "Yes, ME3 was rushed and was horrible.... but this new game is really good.  You should check it out."

As for why we're here... do you only want to hear the opinions of those who like the game.  I only responded once to this topic.

If it fails, I will never buy an EA or, by extension, a Bioware game new ever again. I preordered ME3, and I will not be doing that again. But I may buy their games used, if only because I know how badly EA hates that.  Normally I try to stay away from used games if I can.  I'll buy most games new because I like to support the developers, and I prefer having new products compared to used ones.  But EA has changed me!  :D

Also- started getting into Dead Space recently, borrowed a friends copy of the first one, considered buying my own- saw a new article where EA said they were trying to, 'broaden' the Dead Space audience with Dead Space 3. Watched the trailer and realized- ... Co-op? Co-op isn't scary! In the least! Co-op makes Dead Space become a fun necromorph shoot em up!  And the whole, 'Broaden' BS was used with Mass Effect!  Well... Dead Space is a waste of time now. .... I still have Fallout....

If the EC is just some extra dialog and epilogue slides like the Reddit leak suggests, it's likely ME3 was my last BioWare game. I'm 25. I have real life to deal with, no time for products by people who don't get their customers.

0% likelihood. Why should I invest in another Bioware game if all I have to look forward to is seeing in which spectacular way they can ruin it? Extended Cut has a very small chance of impressing me. If it does, congrats to them. I can enjoy the series again. If EC blows, goodbye Bioware.

I have to wonder why anyone even bothers making these threads. The responses are always so predictable. Just a bunch of juvenile pouting and empty threats.

I'm not very likely at all. The only BW game I invested myself in was the Mass Effect series; I don't see myself continuing to purchase their products if they're going to end the stories in... such a manner.

About as likely as plans to build an igloo in the Sahara. I would only buy another ME game if BiowEAr was kept as far away from it as physically possible.

I dunno, the crap with the disappointing ending of ME3 and the crappy Dragon Age 2 has made me very weary of Bioware products. Plus I'd imagine Dragon Age 3 will have MP and if it has its highly unlikely I will buy it.

Easy answer. If the eC fails my expectations, mostly a happy ending for Shepard and reunion with her loved ones, I don't see any point of playing this depressing game anymore.... why even bother with DLCs adding more to the depression?

Yet if the EC is surpassing my expectations and not only adds "clarification" and "closure", yet actually manages to turn the ending into the awesome climax I and so many others expected? I will buy DLCs happily and even buy the ones I still miss for ME2...easy as that...

Yes. Consumers answering a hypothetical question based on their past experiences/purchases with a company is juvenile and childish.

I suppose you've never heard of test groups.
