I have to wonder why anyone even bothers making these threads. The responses are always so predictable. Just a bunch of juvenile pouting and empty threats.

Yes. Consumers answering hypothetical question based on their past experiences/purchases with a company is juvenile and childish.

I suppose you've never heard of test groups.

Which Bioware should have really used...

I will approach their products with great skepticism, Instead of an innovative consumer I'll be a lagging consumer towards their products. :(

...not bloody likely. At the very least, their games will not be day-one purchases for me any longer. I'll bide my time, wait for all the reviews to come out, check up on the forums and make my decision afterward.

Well it is going to suck as bioware chose to do what the staff at IGN wanted by not changing the ending. I wanted little blue children. So yeah I think I'm done, not looking forwar to the E.C at all.

DLC? Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Future products? If real user reviews (not the paid advertisers such as IGN and the like) are positive then I will gladly wait until they hit the bargain bin for $5 or so. If real user reviews are not positive I wouldn't bother.

I am most likely going to buy Dragon Age 3 when it comes out, probably not the first day since it is very rarely that I purchase games at full price.

If I can see that they at least put some effort into the EC then yes. It all depends on them. I don't expect them to be able to please eveyone. I just want them to give us something that makes sense, and to show us that they didn't just throw something together just so they can say they tried. So far it looks like they're really trying. That's all anyone can ask really. Especially after putting up with all the ridicule we've been giving them for the last few months.

The thing is, for me the ending has to make me feel like the galaxie is better off then it would be then if I did nothing at all. It currently does not. If my intervention doesn't make the galaxie a better place then why would I do anything further (ie. DLC missions)? I am reserving my judgement until I see the EC but yes it will be the determining factor in whether or not I make any further ME3 and Bioware purchases.

I'm already very unlikely to do so. If the EC is a bust, then it is an impossibility.

Bioware has mocked the retakers, begun selling day 1 DLC, released a WoW clone, and pushed out a horribly rushed sequel to one my my favorite fantasy games of all time.

I'm sticking around until the EC. That's their last chance to impress me. If they don't, I'm done.

I will get the DLC...paid and unpaid...because I love the ME world and I can't get enough, and I trust Bioware to do an amazing job. The only thing I'm worried about is whether or not it'll come out before the autumn. There's an awful lot of (potentially) amazing stuff being released this autumn, and if I take the ME disc outta my xbox, it may not go back in for a while. I want to play the additional content while the game is fresh for me, and I'm mid-way through an insanity playthrough right now so it would be just perfect if some SP DLC is released before I hit the Cerberus base. It's difficult to come back for a stand-alone hour or two long extension - it feels disjointed, no matter how good it is.

I have very low expectations from the EC. I don't expect it to really fix anything relevant.

They'd have to fix most of the problems with ME3(decisions having an influence for starters) before I'd consider paying for anything else from Bioware And, no, I would not pay for the fix. They don't really deserve any more of my money. Fool me once, shame on you(DA2); fool me twice, shame on me. (ME3,Swtor)

I bought DA2, and it is the first RPG I started playing that I didnt finish. Says quite a bit about how I thought about it. I liked the personal story, and progression of the family, but it all felt too rushed and the combat was just too bland and repetetive. As were the environments.

ME3 was awesome, but the ending was so horrible that I can still not find the words to describe exactly how I felt about it.

So well, I might get something from bioware again if it seems interesting, but I sure as hell aint prebuying another thing from them. Their designchoices have gone from something I truly enjoyed to "Press a button and awesome happens"-gameplay and I loathe that.

The product I received was subpar and the communication policy followed post-release was abysmal. So, unless the EC and DA 3 turn out to be real diamonds - and I'll wait for the fans' reactions first - the answer is no, I won't buy any further Bioware products.

I haven't purchased anything Bioware-related in the past three months. (Did toss some money towards the creator of Marauder Shields, though.) If the EC keeps Starkid as-is, that first statement is going to become a persistent state and my farewell post (coughrantcough) will include a request for a mod to perma-ban my account. What attracted me to Bioware was their storytelling and the living, breathing characters who inhabited their worlds. If THAT is now the best Bioware can do, I'm not interested in any of their future works. (Don't even get me started on their 'customer service'!)

How likely am I to buy more from them if it fails?

Well, how much damage would this bulldozer suffer from running over Arthur Dent?

It depends. If the EC is really, really bad, I'll be disappointed.
And then I will continue my practice of thoroughly investigating a game before I buy it. If DA3 looks good, I'll get it. If not, I won't. Same for potential ME spinoffs.

Most likely no more pre-orders. Just wait for many fan reviews before thinking of purchasing.

OP here

Guess I stand corrected, which is good. Not many cases where i'm hoping to be wrong lol. I also won't be buying anymore Bioware products in the near future, regardless of how the EC turns out. I'll most likely buy them used.

In the extremely unlikely scenario where the EC turns out to be amazing, gives us that normandy rescue/reunion, and just all around goes that extra mile, then i'll probably start buying their products again. BUt i won't pre order.

Not trying to start a fight here, but i think a large majority of you would. Large enough to give Bioware the idea that no matter how bad they screw us, you'll keep giving them money. Because I remember 3 months ago, almost everybody was talking about holding the line/wallet, and how Bioware will never see another penny from them again.

Now not so much. Seems like a lot of you have forgiven Bioware. If i'm wrong, feel free to tell me how wrong i am, but i've seen this kind of thing before. Consumers complain and complain, and yet they keep buying the companies products. I do know of some specific people on here, that will probably stick to their guns, but i'm not sure about the rest of you.

I don't see how you're coming to the conclusion that people have forgiven BW.  Considering the 'hold the line' folks have their own site dedicated to that whole idea - I'd say you're wrong.  I don't think it's a case of the other gamers 'forgiving' but more of a case of them moving on with their lives/gaming.  There will always be trolls/haters/flamers/malcontents that come on here to rant, but they don't represent the entire audience for BW.

Personally, I'll play/watch the EC myself at least once.  As far as future dlc goes it's not about 'holding the line/wallet' for me, it's about entertainment value for my dollar.  Considering this is the last game of Shepard's story, I don't what they could come up with to get my money.  A dlc involving Omega wouldn't do it.  I don't like Omega at all. Or what's-her-face that runs it.

As far as future Bioware products, right now I'd say no.  My interest in gaming as a whole is extremely low.  I don't like the way they run their company from the way Priestly handles things on here, to their advertisements, to their t-shirt and sneakers, to their ****** poor books, to their crap-tacular comics.  Everything about the company is unappealing to me.  I'd be more inclined to pick up a game by Bethesda or nothing at all.

Agreed. The longer this goes on the deeper and harder my feelings toward the company goes. They are waiting for the negative reactions to burn out and that is a great mistake because for some that will happen, but for others it will go so deep that there will be no curing it. But such feelings haven't seemed to hurt EA so what do I know?
