If the EC is a bust, then Bioware is dead to me. Can't let them get away with treating their fans and the best series like that.

Maybe, someday if they release a game that gets good reviews from a source I trust (not IGN or Game Informer), I'll reconsider. But that's likely a long way off.

About as likely as I am to buy future Bioware products now.

Which is almost zero by the way.  And it is because of Dragon Age 2 by the way, not Mass Effect 3's ending.  Dragon Age 2 was so unforgivably bad it almost made me not get Mass Effect 3.

Not likely..
The reason is that I just don't want to fall in love so deep on a game, be so emotionally invested in it and only to have my heart broken all over again like I did with ME (yes it may sound silly but the pain I felt after the whole ending thing it's just so real it's insane! Never I thought a game can clobber me down like that and bring me down to my knees X_x)
Even IF I decided to play their game again one day, I'll probably won't get a new one. ME3 is and will be the last game that I'll ever pre-order.
And about the forgiving thing, well.. I don't know about 'forgiving', I'm just trying to move on with my life and forget about this whole stuff

Pretty freaking unlikely! Barring an act of God or a planetary alignment in the favor of Bioware, I don't plan on going anywhere near anything they touch. It all boils down to trust for me. I didn't really like DA2, and I HATED the end of ME3, so I just can't trust them to not to something terrible in the future. It will be far safer in my opinion to just not play their games.

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.

i have a lot of faith in Bioware delivering an amazing EC. However, if it does fail, I can't see myself spending any money on ME3.

Not trying to start a fight here, but i think a large majority of you would. Large enough to give Bioware the idea that no matter how bad they screw us, you'll keep giving them money. Because I remember 3 months ago, almost everybody was talking about holding the line/wallet, and how Bioware will never see another penny from them again.

Now not so much. Seems like a lot of you have forgiven Bioware. If i'm wrong, feel free to tell me how wrong i am, but i've seen this kind of thing before. Consumers complain and complain, and yet they keep buying the companies products. I do know of some specific people on here, that will probably stick to their guns, but i'm not sure about the rest of you.

The only thing I could ever imagine buying would be a DLC with Miranda, but that's quite a stretch.

I'll probably just youtube it.

Fact is I don't even play ME3 anymore.

I'd probably still be interested in stuff from Bioware, as long as it is not an RPG or anything containing story elements.

No, if EC doesn't fix the ending (and I don't see how it can since BioWare has said unapologetically that they aren't changing anything) then I'm done with the company. Trust is difficult to gain and easy to break, and the ridiculous ending + the undelivered promises were enough to break mine. There are a lot of great games by other companies coming out soon that I'm psyched for so moving on will be easy.

If it's a fail... no more money for them. The Mass Effect saga will be dead to me. That's going to developers who actually give a damn. As for DA... well, I didn't buy DA2, and I don't think they'll learn anything for DA3.

If BioWare ever makes a great game again, and I check fan reviews to make sure it is, then I'll buy it at a discount price. Right now, though, no.

I won't be buying anything extra even if it passes my judgement.

If the EC is a bust, I will never buy any Bioware products ever again, nor will I encourage anyone else to buy from them. Period.

I wasn't planning on purchasing any DLC for this game even before the announcement of an extended cut so no I wont be purchasing one for ME 3 at all. There simply will be no reason to. As to DA 3 I may purchase it a year or so after the game is released or when the price drops. But never again will I pre order.

I'd approach any new content cautiously, like you might a potentially poisonous snake. If it turns out not to blow chunks, I'd get it for XBOX first, since I haven't installed it on my PC since my SSD joined the choir invisible.

If the EC is a success, then great, I will finally be able to start playing Mass Effect again without feeling completely and utterly disgusted. I will also purchase SP ME3 DLC's if they are made. But if the EC is a bust? Like hell I will be purchasing any Mass Effect related content.

Regardless of the quality of the EC however, ME3 will likely be my last Bioware game. I do not support their "jack of all trades master of none" design formula, I despise their influence and direction in the videogame industry (post ME2), and I absolutely condemn the manner in which they have been treating their fans recently.

In short, Bioware can redeem the Mass Effect series in my eyes, but not much else.

Even if the EC completely redeems the game & the series, I still wouldn't buy any dlcs or Bioware/EA products in the future.

I never claimed that I would never buy a Bioware product again. I would be hesitant to do so without reading reviews from both critics and fans first, but holding an entire company responsible for one (albeit very major) foulup seems excessive.

The series has brought me a lot of joy. It has also brought me a lot of sadness, and not the good kind where you're sad for something happened in a tale but the bad kind where you feel hurt and disappointed that they'd betray the world they'd built so badly. However, I've enjoyed the games for the most part, and it was only my level of investment in them that allowed the failing to hurt so much. So I have to give my respect for their storytelling, and hope that they'll address the issues that I believe mar an otherwise excellent work of science fiction.

So, to summarize, yes, I will consider buying things they produce.

Like anything, it will depend on the reviews. If the next Bioware product is universally praised (and I mean universally praised and not just suspect industry-friendly sites like Gamespot, IGN, Joystiq, etc but also the independent reviewers like Angry Joe etc.) then I might be tempted to pay around retail.

But if it only gets good reviews then I'll probably wait until it hits the bargain bin before I'll check it out.

In other words, Bioware as a brand (because that is what Bioware is now) has lost a lot of goodwill, unfortunately. Not the end of the world since I can remember when American cars = clunkers while Toyotas = cars that would outlive cockroaches. But Bioware will have to earn my gaming dollars like every other company.

I'll never buy the DLC unless it's bullet-proof great since usually DLC is a total ripoff.

Erm, what are you trying to achieve ? I mean, the answer is obvious.

Now to the question. Let's change "How likely are you to purchase DLC and future Bioware products, if the EC is a bust?"

into

"How likely are you to purchase DLC and future products, if the game in question is a bust?"

Most people will continue to buy future producs, as will I. I am not going to go all dramatic and sad because a game didn't turn out the way I wanted to be.

Let's not forget, that NO matter what Bioware releases, Most that hated the ending, will hate whatever they release later on. Haters gonna hate.

no more pre order until thorough review on endings. i heard diablo 3 ending was dissappointment as well, too much nerfing for general crowd vs making u want to play back what u miss on previous series. i played ME2 first until realize how much i missed ME1 and went back to play it - that is how it shud be. felt the same way abt Baldur's Gate series

Witcher 2 is excellent from storyline, solid and look fwd for 3.

I don't believe EC fixes anything (unfortunately). I am not buying any Bioware or EA games (including DLCs) unless I can get cheap used ones.
