Dragon Age and Wii U: Made for eachother?

The latest E3 got me wondering.
I saw a presentation of a Wii-U (link to wiki page) game called ZombiU where the unique Wii-U controller was used as an inventory. However, the whole Nintendo line-up lacked a real 'system seller' a game that would proof the innovation of the controller was...'usefull.'
It got me thinking...
What if that second screen could be a tactical overview of the battlefield? Where you can easily move your companions to the right spot? Where you can select your powers, skills, potions? It could provide the players with alot of tactical possibilities and battlefield control.
Is Dragon Age + Wii-U a match made in heaven?
And how do you 'PC guys' at Bioware feel about the Wii-U?

Inevitably you either have content that's specific to Wii U players only or you have tons of extra programming that's needed to make the same benefits available to the other consoles and pc, and they'll still be clunkier than they would for Wii U players. It's already kind of a problem for the Kinect.
I mean granted it could be super cool - if I wanted to spend an extra chunk of change on the Wii U even after the cost of my DAIII preorder (I probably wouldn't) and if I thought it'd be cool enough to be worth all the complaining we'd get around her about it (it couldn't possibly be.)
I think a tactical map and an easy inventory could be neat for games like Zelda. Probably best to leave it out of the DA franchise though.

It has the horsepower now to run much more current games, so Bioware wouldn't have to tone down the game too much to make sure it runs on the system. I'd say yes, the next Dragon Age on Wii U is definitely a possibility.

TBH, considering how badly DA2 did, and how successful the ME trilogy has done, I don't think BioWare is going to risk trying something new, anyway. Unless DA3 gets Game of the Year, and becomes like, critically acclaimed, then we might see them do something like that. But the real problem with incorporating the Wii U into DA, is that it doesn't fit the combat mechanics that DA has, as I was saying. ME is played with the PC and the camera, inside the environment, with the ability to jump on and through various objects. DA doesn't have that. You cannot jump, and you don't have small buildings to enter, and the environment is a lot less interactive. It just doesn't work.

This won't ever happen. Not unless they completely reinvent the combat system.

I really don't see the problem. Bioware could reinvent the combat system to create something unique that takes advantage of the controller, and even if they don't want to, the GamePad can be used as a traditional controller. If Bioware doesn't want to take advantage of the GamePads features, they don't have to. Unlike the Wii, Nintendo isn't trying to force their new controller on the developers. Developers can choose to use the GamePad as they please.

Diverting resources on console-exclusive gimmicks like Wii U's controller, Kinect, Move or whatever else comes isn't that smart of an idea simply because you're throwing resources away which could've been spent on improving the product for all platforms.
Worse when it's gimmicks like Kinect and Move which not everyone using that platform owns.

Out of the games that could be called my favourites, I played those with the classic controller anyway. Something about motion that is not accurate enough for me for serious gaming.
Sorcery on Move is pretty good, although I find Move to be more accurate. Kinect is either something you wave your hands around in front of , or a glorified microphone.
The sort of games I enjoy don't benifit from gimmicks (sorcery accepted but that was made for move).

A Wii-U-specific game could very well use this mechanic (DA game or no) but I don't see a cross-platform game utilizing so integrated function just for the one console.

Especially for a platform where you only could expect 20,000 units or less sold. Let's face it, the Wii crowd doesn't really have the type of gamers that purchase more Mature games like Dragon Age. They are a very young group whose parents purchase their games for them.
