 Just a quick check. I've just been forced into the Collector mission in ME 2. I know that I need to do all the loyalty missions, upgrades etc before the IFF mission to save everyone, but can I take my time and get all my other missions and assignments done after the Collector mission and before the IFF mission? I've played it before so spoilers are fine

Yes, you can. The Reaper IFF mission is made available right away but you don't have to do it until you've got the whole team and done everyone's loyalty missions (minus Legion of course) and as many side missions as you fancy.
