My strategy is to just smash.

Just keep smashing and hope the banshee's don't use their magic hands on you.

All I can say is double area reavers. And, of course, two detonators like the ex-Cerberus adepts and a thrower for example. If everything is primed by the reavers, then the only limitation for biotic explosions is how fast you can pump out the detonations - which is not an issue.

Otherwise 4 infiltrators with their debuff abilities and huge damage bonus pretty much works all the time :)

Firebase Condor, stay at the spot you first pop up on. If you are going to biotic farm reapers, you might as well do it on glacier though.  I haven't tried it but, but goddess looks like a good map to play them on too.   It is tight quarters and all the elevevation changes could get you out of trouble since the brutes and probably banches don't follow you off them very well.

As everyone has been saying, Biotics!

HA, DA, AA, AJ, HSe, TSe, BSe, HV, DV, and KV are some of the better biotic classes against Reapers, I'd recommend using one of them. Infiltrators are good too, in particular the Proximity Mine debuff is very helpful against Banshees and Brutes. Dealing with Mauraders is your primary concern, as on Gold they kill you VERY quickly. Ravagers are second priority, watch out as their acid pools can be a pain if you're running away from a Banshee/Brute. Brutes are third priority, because they're so big you can't get around them, and then Banshees are fourth priority because of their high probability to sync-kill and forcing you to abandon an area. Biotic Explosions work great against all of the Reapers, really. Understanding of BE mechanics is vital for easy disposal of Reapers. Whether or not you prefer small or large maps against Reapers is a matter of personal preference, as most of the Reapers operate best in a close-quarters capacity. While you would think that this means maps like Hydra, Condor, and Ghost are much easier (and in many ways, they are) you still have to contend with the major threat of Ravagers, which can force you into cover from an incredible range, as well as Mauraders, which are the primary damage-dealer (although Cannibals kill quick too, they die much easier).

If you have a GI with a Javelin, use it. Shield gate is not a concern, only one Reaper unit has shields. Warp ammo, rail amp III, and spec for weapon damage. One shot from cloak will kill a Ravager after PM debuff, 2 shots on average to kill a Brute

Biotic Explosions on a small map like Glacier.

2 Phoenix Adepts/Vanguards
1 Asari Justicar Adept
1 Drell Adept

You can finish a Gold game in 20 minutes or so with a decent team. Only problem is that the scale of the map can backfire as it offers little escape room, considering that they have big enemies, grabbers, and killers. But it's fun and challenging, and you get to move around unlike FBWGG.

There is no such thing as "bunkering down" when it comes to Reapers.

Clear an area -> move to that area --> Clear another area ---> move to that area. Do not get pinned down in one spot.

lots of Adepts and BE helps.
Use adrenaline buffs for slow characters so you wont have to turn around when you pull back from a Banshee

In terms of greater threats to the team:

Marauders > Banshees
Ravager > Banshees

As long as you stay away form Banshees they don't pose that much of a threat compared to Marauders and Ravagers. 3 Marauders or 2 ravagers can easily pin you down while the brutes and banshees close in.

totally agree. i kill marauders and ravagers as soon as they appear. most players go for the brute. even from score perspective, two marauders are 1400 points already so crowd control duty is good!!

If your running a group, then I'll offer some advice otherwise ignore me and just listen to what everybody else has stated.

Its not hard to pick up on the areas where it'd be good or not to stand, be mindful of spawning areas as thats the key regardless of what faction you go against.

Cerberus plays a lot like geth except with smarter AI and less mindless forward marching, keep an eye on your flanks as phantoms will find a way to sneak up on you one way or another. Spreading out is bad as it adjust the spawn and enemy pathing sometimes in a good way most often its not. But experiment a bit and find out.

Against Reapers always have an exit strategy, pick a room thats good to bunker down in for the first few waves but make sure you have an easy escape route, your going to need to flow around the battle field.

Experiment on silver to see if its a good spot and the general flow of enemies, its a good idea to know where they will or won't come from.

Although its been said about the reapers it also goes for Cerberus as well, the most dangerous enemies aren't always the big guys. A pack of nemesis can give you a lot more grief than a few phantoms.

Also, when going against phantoms while they are a bit silly and a joke to fight if someone has stasis they have jet packs that allow them to use paths that others won't. Sending someone down a path to cover your backs doesn't mean your safe since sometimes there is an easy access where the enemy can't go up but you can drop down so you ignore it. The phantoms will just pop right up these areas and sneak up behind you.

Geth on firebase white is getting old. Does anyone have any proven strategies for the other factions?

Run, hide and cry for your mommy while the bad monsters come to eat you.  :P

One, two Reapers coming for you
three, four going to tank your score
five, six throw your head in the mix
seven, eight gonna be banshee bait
nine, ten out of gel again

MORE EXPLOSIONS!

And failing that...

MORE FIREPOWER!

I recommend a team of 4 biotics or 4 infiltrators for taking on the Reapers.

4 Infiltrators require a little bit more skill than the biotic squad, but they can take down a single banshee in less than 4 seconds.

A pair of Biotics to make BEs faster, one infiltrator and one crowd controller that would close near the infiltrator, like an engineer or Turian Sentinel.

As long as everyone knows their roles, you can attempt pretty much every map.

Also, don't commit suicide by running into an acid pool. Had this happen to me multiple times when I'm not paying attention
