1. Anders
2. Alistair
3. Fenris
4. Zevran
5. Bann Teagan (I wish!)
6. Cullen (dreams)
7. Duncan
8. Gorim (for my dwarven princess)
9. Hurlock Alpha (for my Hurlock in Darkspawn chronicles)
10. Nathaniel Howe (for my orlesian Warden)

I actually read an excellent Orlesian warden/Nathaniel Howe/Anders fic on the kmeme, called "Incarnadine"--after all, my objections to Anders are his behavior in DA2, I actually like the one in Awakenings.

Of all the 'romances' of the origins Gorim was my favorite (and my favorite NPC in the DN origin tale).  I wish there could have been more, and that he hadn't moved on so quickly after the events there.  *Sigh* oh well, at least my Lady Aeducan knew he was doing all right, and she had Alistair to console her!Размещенное изображение

And Bann Teagan *swoons* I'd die of the sheer awesomeness if he were an option!Размещенное изображение

lol Hurlock Alpha eh?  I don't see that one gracing any calendars, but I guess even monsters need lovin'.Размещенное изображение

1. Nathaniel - Winner of the "They should have made me an LI" award. He would have been number one,
numero uno....I just love that assassin!

2. Alistair - Winner of the "Best virgin bastard prince award," Good looking man with self-deprecating
humor and tanks like a beast! How can you not love him?

3. Fenris - Winner of best performance in "Mr. Darcy meets Rebel without a cause". (I don't want to
love you but I just can't help it!)

4. Anders - Winner of the the masochist's award for the best "I'm bad for you baby, but love me anyway,"
role in a Dragon Age series.

5. Zeveran - Best performance in a "harlot with a heart of gold and a Pollyanna complex" role. Seriously
who cannot help but love a guy who can stay optimistic after such a childhood?

That's my top five.

1. Zevran: Any attractive guy that can make me laugh is usually a good bet. But I also am a sucker for any of the flirtatious men in fictional settings. He was also a blast to have in the same party with Wynne. :D

2. Alistair: He is a very VERY close second. He is so adorable and funny! I love his humor! And he is so much fun to flirt with. I think in all I adore both Alistair and Zevran equally. The reason that I end up choosing Zevran is because he always looks so wounded whenever I pick Alistair over him. For Alistair, you could see it coming with the reaction but it's so uncharacteristic of Zevran to be so hurt over a rejection.

3. Morrigan. I haven't finished a romance with her, but what I have done is so awesome! Especially when she tries to get you to sleep with her by saying she was "cold". Clever little minx. And seeing her slowly start to actually develop feelings was amazing. In general it moves me to see her struggle with any kind of softer emotion because she's never experienced it before. :3

4. Isabella. I swear she is a female, pirate version of Zevran. I love her so much! I'm currently working on finishing a romance with her but even before real emotions get into it, I love it. Isabella is always a blast, even if she does make me mad at times.

5. Anders. I've done a friendship romance and I'm currently working on a rivalmance with him. He's my favorite guy character but I feel that he and Fenris are too similar in personality type. Sure Fenris is more mopey but overall, they are both kind of moody and very headstrong to the point of frustration in their beliefs. I support the mage plight but it makes me angry how Anders always assumes that the Templars are always the bad guys. Like in Act 1 when you get those apostates hiding in the caves and he was all for killing the templar at the mouth of the cave when they suggested it! Nevermind the fact that Thrask was trying to SAVE them in the first place. And don't even get me started on Act 3 at the very end. *grumble*

6. Fenris. I like his character but he's so firmly against magic that it drives me crazy. Pretty much anyone who has it, has to go to the templars. End of discussion. I was so mad when he disapproved when I sided with the runaway apostates after the Templar Kerras said he was going to kill them with out even a trial. Not to mention, he's even more moody and mopey than Anders and that also irritates me. His character developed but I get too frustrated with him for him to be at the top of my list of favorites. But, regardless of how he bugs me, I almost always have him as the heavy-hitter in my party. :3

7. Lelianna. Nothings is wrong with her, I just see her more as a friend than anything else. I pretty much only pursued a romance with her so I could get the trophy for it. But then I promptly ended it. She's fun, but I can't ever bring myself to go all the way through with a romance with her.

8. Sebastian. I didn't get very far with him. As soon as I found out that you can't get anything out of that relationship but a chaste marriage, I stopped. He was fun to flirt with because he would get SO embarrassed but you couldn't get anywhere with him. If he didn't cling to his chantry vows, I probably would have pursued him. But, as it stands, his romance will remain unfinished.

9. Merril. I started a romance with her but....I just can't go through with it. She's just so cute and adorable and reminds me of a little sister that I can never bring myself to go any further than that.

You know, while I haven't done this romance myself, I noticed that Aveline wasn't included in the list. Poor girl, she get's no love. >_< except from Donnic. :D

Something else I'd like to add, anybody wish that Varric was a romance option?  I'm not one for dwarves but I would have made an exception for him!  I'd have to say he was my favorite in all of Dragon Age 2!

1. anders - he wins by far. i've seriously lost count as to how many times i've romanced him >___> i think i've romanced him more than any of the other companions combined. only 1 was a rivalmance and omg did i regret it at the end when it was implied that he commited suicide after i forced him to side with the templars D: never again! it is definitely the whole angst thing that gets me. every time my hawkes spoke to him, they always wanted to give him a huge hug and tell him that everything would be fine. to me, he's very much an already broken man being torn apart even more by all the events in DA2, and my hawkes just want him to be whole again, no matter what.

2. alistair - his romance was just so sweet, and i loved his awkwardness. the rose gesture was also especially sweet. part of what makes him so endearing is his humour and how he often uses it to mask his true feelings (this is a trait i like in most characters....)

3. fenris - during my first few playthroughs, i didn't like him at all. despite his past experiences, i thought it was unfair of him to generalise all mages the way he did. after a while though, he grew on me as a character and my subsequent hawkes saw him as a valuable friend. though a loner, he's clearly the type of person who will be fiercely loyal and protective of his close friends, and this especially comes through if you romance him. even though he's not my favourite, i did really enjoy his romance and i dare say, some of his romance lines are even better than anders' (i'm sorry, anders! TT^TT), purely because of the emotion that gideon emery injects into those lines. of course, adam howden is also very good at conveying emotion, which is partly why anders is my favourite.

4. merrill - merrill is so sweet and lovable.....but it's because of this that i tend to see her more of a little sister than a partner >.> i did rivalmance her once, and even though i think it was written well, i still felt bad every time i was mean to her, cos it just felt like kicking a sick puppy. i love merrill....just not in that way.

5. isabela - i was actually a little disappointed by her romance. it wasn't bad, and i did like how she tries to hide the fact that she's a genuinely caring and good person underneath her 'slattern' exterior, and of course, i absolutely love her lines, whether she's romanced or not.

6. sebastian - by far.......worse romance ever. i knew from the beginning that you wouldn't even get a kiss from him and i only romanced him once just for completion's sake (never again, cos i had to kill anders TT^TT). granted, some of his lines are adorable, but i never felt that he loved hawke as much as she loved him.

i haven't completed any romances with zevran, leliana or morrigan, but i think i would definitely enjoy them, because of the character developments. i love bioware romances, just cos they're usually very well written and seem real (if a bit rushed in DA2). i just wish that you could interact more with your romances (and non-romanced companions, for that matter).

1. Alistair. Basically he was my first and he is definitely my go-to romance guy, for the humans. I love it when you can give him the saucy answers and he gets all shy. So adorable. My all-time favourite romance involves him, milady Cousland and the crown.

2. Now, this place is a tie. Shared by Zevran and Anders. Zevran just made me squeal with laughter once I took the time to actually romance him, all my Elven gals were swept off their feet. And I do not pin them on him based on being elves, but more so that their backgrounds just feel so much more compatible to me. As for Anders....poor Anders. I actually already fell in love with him in Awakening. I was shocked to see what they did to him. Poor thing. I do love his romance, you can actually see the old Anders peeping just below the surface. But then act 3 ruins everything and makes me sad. Still, because of who he was and how the romance is in the first two parts, he gets to share with Zevran.

3. Morrigan. While I usually can't bring myself to romance females, I noticed that when I tried to romance both her and Leliana for fun at the same time, Morrigan was the ultimate winner. While Leliana was sweet, she scared me. Too weird. And Morrigan felt really strong, which I liked.

4. Fenris. I love his voice, like almost everyone else I should think. But he's a little lower down the list because he never seemed to match my Hawkes. Either that or they were already swayed by Anders. Also his little quirk of being afraid of intimacy was a like a bucket of cold water being splashed into my face.

5. Leliana. As mentioned before, the one time I did try her she just lost to Morrigan.

6, 7 and 8 are all combined. Simply because I have/will not romance(d) them. Isabela. She seems too treacherous for my liking. Merrill. Just...no. I butt heads with her every single time. So it's a good thing I'm more prone to romance males as the female department in DA2 is severely lacking imo for me to even try. And then there is Sebastian. I can never be with him as I will not kill Anders. However foolish his behaviour may be.

And then there's three I would have loved to have a romance with.

Gorim. If it would've been at all possible for my lady dwarf to get back to him, I know I would be able to actually finish a play through with her.

Cullen. If he were a LI, it would have been one of the most tragic romances of all times imo, when coupled with a mage of course.

Nathaniel. I would've loved to see him as a LI. Just to give the tale a twist and make a Cousland to romance him. It would've been an interesting thing to see with all the things that have occurred between their families.
