If they gotta take down MP for a few days to fix things is it really all that bad?

Yep. Borderline hacking. Only downfall to this glitch is you can't replenish ammo after you use it, but even then......Halo 2 Holy Grail anyone???

I'll put it this way, DNC Protoman. You say this glitch will hurt profits? That it can be easily found at this point? Been playing all morning and haven't seen it yet. I don['t care to do it myself either. Most people probably haven't or won't. Thus the paying customers won't care and probably won't ever find out, or if they do it will be after the fact.

If you shut down the servers, they will wonder why and discover why. You will shut down all prospective buyers for however long it takes to fix. All because you have no patience for the process. Lighting a fire under someone can't make them climb Mt. Everest in an hour.

Also remember that a minority of the game's playerbase even reads this forum, let alone posts in it.

You missed the part where this will make more people interested in such glitches and start stress testing to find them. If they take down MP it gets much more publicity, and that always adds new people to the pool.

(I actually got my start stress testing bugs from a game going dark to remove a glitch, they failed and had to go dark again to fix it again, since I find the game fun I limit myself to testing "harmless" glitches like the Shockwave Radius Glitch).

There are alot of requirements and downfalls. After recreating the glitch, I can say it's not worth even doing in a pub match unless you need a serious clutch.

Would you rather have the MP shut down for a day for an emergency fix? Or have this go on and get abused for a week or so? I think more revenue would be lost if they choose to follow through with the latter.

all this negative feedback, you children must understand that if this was on GOOGLE it was everywhere. You just want to ignore it and make it go away. I have done nothing wrong, haven't exploited it and didn't originate it when it could be found in seconds.

On a side note I'm convinced those who attack are sad they won't be able to exploit this as long as they'd like now that it's more in the open.

You are such a troll. Now your going to say those who are against your actions want to use this exploit, what?!?!  You could have premiered the glitch without explaining how to do it. You have essentially rolled a snowball down a snow slope. If this infinite missile glitch avalanches into halo 2 like cheating, know that you contributed to breaking the game not fixing it.

None of these are good reasons to leave this intact.

Why do you have to tell everyone in this community about the glitch? you could at least send a PM to Bioware... :/

It was already out there.  It needs to be out there so a fix is done quicker.  This was happening already.

It's going to require a patch, which we all know is not a quick thing at all. I agree - it should have been reported to as many top Bioware guys as necessary to get an acknowledgement, and not publicly posted. I understand your logic, but I think it was a bad idea.

All you had to do was google search it.  if you saw it done once and searched, BAM there you go.  I'm not giving any new info here, I'm pointing it out so we can all stand together and get it fixed.
This is a sad but necessary step.  Let's hope it's quick and done right.

How you expressed the matter is a very radical and cunning way to do it. I like it. Promotion of illegal action *will* provoke weak minds to do it. Although you risk sacrificing yourself receiving a ban, you selflessly act to ensure everyone else enjoys the game they worked and paid for. Very commendable, Mr. DNC.

You seriously need to read the two Sticky Bioware posted about cheating and exploits because your ignorance is showing.

@DNC: I think people are reacting in a negative manner for a few reasons. First, your posting exactly how to do it in the OP. Also, by linking the video that shows exactly how to do it. Finally, in your subsequent posts that point to a seemingly fanatical desire to become a martyr for the cause.

I think we can all agree here that the issue needs a fix so that it doesn't happen; your approach however seems to invite others to actively perform the glitch, thereby making matters worse (and counter to your stated aims).

Since it is available on google, as you note, why not simply remove the instructions and video from the original post?

Nope, his stated aims are for everyone to do this. By his logic, nobody will get banned because this has to be fixed immediately.

Nobody understands the concept of time these days. Self-entitled people.

The whole google comment is ridiculous. Most people hadnt even HEARD of this glitch before this thread, so wut would there have been to google? And this bs about those against you wanting to exploit the glitch. I sent a msg to Bioware (like your SUPPOSED to do) last week regarding the infinite missile bug and got a msg back 2 days ago from Jeff Roussel stating

"Thanks for letting me know about this! I have passed the information on to the Mass Effect 3 game team and they are investigating the issue.

Thanks and Regards,
-Jeff"

Its SO obvious I want to use this exlpoit. Such a stupid thread

EDIT: proof

My intention was to show everyone how this works, it is not a hack but a glitch on the fault of Bioware.
I didn't say "hey everybody do this"  i said for everyone to PM bioware in addition to posting to make the fix come quicker.

Many of you people are trying to simply make me the bad guy when all I did was point out a glitch and do so in a manner that will get it corrected sooner rather than later.

Somebody finds a loophole in a law that allows them to commit a crime. OP's "logic": Quick, everybody commit the crime using the loophole so the law gets changed more quickly!

You are truly an original.

Yes quick Bioware fix the glitch before the entire universe spontaneously combusts! Or whatever the hell it is the OP is worried about.
Oh and while you're there, please fix the Vanguard glitch, ULM, Objects falling through Hydra...
And all the other things I've forgotten.
