On the bright side of things, maybe PUGs will finally use their missiles. :wizard:

You know, I hope this gets fixed soon too but honestly with such strict activation requirements (and that, as shown, it unglitches at times), do you really see this being such a massive problem that you need BW to respond right this minute? Give them some time, the most they could possibly say right now is "we're looking into it".

In that case I'm sure the many, many people who won't need to spend $ on packs will be greatfull

sadly i dont think they are going to fix this any time soon, as it mainly has something to do with the latency of the connection between a host and client, if anything OP just managed to do a dick move and force BWs hand and they somehow make the charge up time for scorpion longer or something else like that... which will make it more tedious to use.

whatever it takes- the charge up time for the scorp has nothing to do with this at all.

Would you rather they shut down the servers until this is fixed? That's about all else that can be done, and that would hurt profits far more.

I suppose the fastest, easiest way to fix this would be to set Cobra damage and radius equal to that of the Striker...

That would be a bit of irony, wouldn't it?  Insanely powerful glitch leads to change making the game harder.  :?

So you'd rather he just have kept the glitch to himself?

Imo announcing it publicly is the only way to get Bioware to fix it ASAP. As said before, it breaks the game.

That's the same excuse used by "l33t hax0rs" and guess what, it doesn't fly with people who actually have a moral code & understand you can't fix something without going through the proper testing, QA, etc. stages.

It's also wholly unresponsible to just blatently tell everyone "HEY! DO THIS SO BIOWARE FIXES IT" since it will just lead to more abuse.  Clearly this is the intent, as evident by:

Next time keep your mouth shut and send off an email/private note to someone.  Especially on a WEEKEND.

It seems like they could update the damage type of cobra missiles or of those four weapons from like explosive to electric and possibly fix the missile replacement while still having the other negative effects to work on later.

@fox-snipe: We are the beta testers  for updates.  That was what I was doing when I tried to figure out how to recreate it and the extent of the problem.

1.)  this game is supposed to be a finished product.  Testing, QA, etc SHOULD HAVE ALREADY OCCURED.

2.)  Keep your mouth shut.  My way will get them off their backsides and into action MUCH FASTER.

so... some of you guys want to nerf missiles because someone found a glitch? Don't be an idiot.

First of all, just fix the problem, don't make the missiles suck.

Second of all, this isn't actually a prevalent problem.

I think you're reading us wrong.  We're predicting doom and gloom, crazy side-effect, and other butterfly creates tornado on other side of the world stuff.  We don't (or at least I don't) want Cobras nerfed.

I hope it gets fixed, and soon.

I hope they ban you for exasurbating the problem and sharing with everyone the exact method in which it can be done instead of just making a normal bug report.

People who used this can easily be tracked and will be banned, it WILL be taken care of, and might have been before it became a wide spead issue.

I'd hate to see your idea on how to get rid of say...AIDs or HIV.

1) I want to see you create something on the first-try and get it right.  Go ahead.  I'll wait.  Because even old games that were nowhere near as complex as the games of today had issues, except they couldn't be fixed.  People who claim something sucks because it wasn't done right the first time (or second, third... ) have absolutely no idea what it's like to program something.  You will never get everything perfectly right no matter how many revisions you make.

2) Bull.  Your way will only increase the visibility and likelihood of jerks abusing it.  The only good that might come from this is Bioware quickly working to ban jerks that swing that way and yourself.  But then there are fewer players, longer lobbies, etc. which are also detrimental to the game.

You are the very definition of a troll to the community.

Doubt very heavily it can be tracked easily.  I've encountered glitch users twice today before I looked up the video.

Very tacky comment about life-ending diseases BTW.

The most successful approach started in the early nineties when they made people aware of the problem and how it was contracted instead of calling it a homesexual disease and brushing it off.

I have mentioned this bug in other forums where people were talking about cheaters because it is easy to have it happen to you by accident if you have a certain play style and the effects of it can be purely negative as well.  I don't sit there and watch my missiles fire or any weapon for that matter, I assume I hit it and look for the next target.  As a result, I weapon switch really quickly.  I have been purely negatively glitched four or five times since knowing the trigger just because I can't slow myself down.

Wrong- you are the troll.  I am taking the steps that need to be taken in order to save MP.  Your just too weak-minded to grasp it is all.

Agree with Fox-snipe. If you notified a moderator you should have left it at that (or wait for a reply before going vigilante). You have changed nothing in regards to when this will be fixed. A patch (which is what you'll need to fix this) isn't even possible without a week in advance to approve of it. Realistically that's 2 weeks to a month that this WILL go unchecked.

That's BW's bad, sure. But you're not helping.

Don't fancy yourself as some kind of "savior" to MP, please. It's unsightly.

Oh I am helping.  By making people aware I am enusring that something WILL be done about this.  This wil cost the devs. money.  That means their hands are forced now.  The more extremely they are, the better.

I'm glad the discoverer of this is smart enough a fellow to realize brushing this under the rug isn't the way to go about it.
