In fact, I think all the Reapers in Mass Effect 3 are a tad small, I've been up a mountain just over 2km high and the average Reaper isn't that big in-game.
Not that the reapers in Mass Effect aren't huge, but they should be like space cthulus.
Like how Harbinger says, "We will darken the sky of every world." It makes you think maybe there are more massive reapers, and the scale seems horrifying. I like that
He means from sheer numbers.. like in some greek story (think it was portrayed in teh movie sparta), the guy says there were so many arrows the sky turned dark
also this pic is awesome.. when i try to explain to people how insignificant earth is in the grand scheme of things, this pic could sum it up as cities would be demolished in a footstep. it just captures the kind of image i try to portray when i talk about earthly insignificance in the grand scheme of the universe

From what I can tell, he was far larger than all the other capital ships.Atherus wrote...
Just wondering if anyone else is bugged by that, but in the Codex entry of the Reapers, Harbinger is discriped as the oldes and largest of the Reapers.
So the biggest Ships are the Capital Ships like the Sovereign with a lenght of about two kilometers. That means Harbinger is either the same or more likely of a larger size than Sovereign.
So that means the Beamtower we are running to must either be even larger than Harbinger or he must be freaking far away from it, that we could see his full frame and the he would look smaller than the tower.
And he must have taken the weakest beams he has, because one of the Mako´s he hits, just burns down and explodes after that instead of just getting pulverized (plus Shepard survives a direct hit).
So anyone else who thinks this makes the run to the beam a little bit odd?
Also, the first thing I thought upon reading this thread was Grunt's size.

***** Who was the genius who came up with these sizes? *****
Not only the cost of building them, except for the reapers, but for maintaining a fleet.
Oh and for both fleets. Resources.
Do you know how much fuel it costs to go to FTL with a ship that size? Or to power a ship from the surface of a planet into space. Or to slow it for atmospheric entry and soft landing? Thrusters anyone? Hello? Cities would be glassed just from the capital ships landing and taking off.

The screen fades to white before Shepard gets hit. I don't think the laser actually hit Shepard.

maybe it was harbinger and harbinger was only a destroyer and not a capital ship.

But yeah, even accounting for perspective, Harbinger was undersized in that bit.
Edit - Oh wow. Didn't notice how undead this thread was...
