ok so here's my problem, i just got mass effect 2 and it started normally, i was able to play at the beginning (normandy crash) then after Shepard is tossed into the space a video saying that shepard is being resurrected or something like that and then the game crashes.

These are my laptop's specs (also note that i have 1gb dedicated vga (Radeon switchable graphics):

Another problem i'm facing is the display of the menus: when the starting menu or the option menu are displayed, they are not clear, blured and almost unreadable.

also note that i've already tried many other games which require higher specs (assassin creed revelation, sniper elite v2 (2012), war game: eruopean escalation, Skyrim, Dragon Age 2
All worked perfectly with high graphics.

Try to be more specific. Video RAM means almost nothing.

If the crash always occurs at the exact same spot you likely have a corrupt installation and you'll need to reinstall.
