PRAISE ALL UNDER HEAVEN! BROTHER ALPHA-CENTURI IS A TRUE SON OF HEAVEN!
Lol actully I love the whole back and forth they have when it comes to deals and gifts. I can tell you right now thats a Chinese tradition alive and well lol. Funny enough with my wife's family that never was a problem for me.
On a sidenote given we all seem to be on the same page abouts....Cao Cao should have sent a General that Could have made Cao Ren listen.

Poor Cao Cao indeed.
On a side note having watched the show and knowing the history and ways of that era. I think I would have loved living in that time. A man could prove his worth then, not so today really. If I seen a leader like Cao Cao or Liu Bei alive today I would not think twice in fallowing them. Saddly its as the Hagakure says.
"Each Passing Year the flame of greatmen and Warriors still burns brightly, but it grows smaller."

Bah! I still have no clue what to think of Liu Bei. He manages to impress me on several occasions, but ends up doing something rather stupid later on.
And someone should do a video on how many times you here someone shout "Report!"

Wait till you see what Liu Bei does at the battle of Yi Ling.
I gotta hand it to Wu and the Southlands. Their offensive capabilities might be limited. But you are going to go through hell (literally) if you try to invade their lands.
Nice avatar Chewin

Lulz where there more?
And yeah, at least the Chinese just went with REPORT! and bowed once and gave it. European socities of that time and later on you had to stay on your knees untill noticed lol.
I took a break from the series atm, half way in. Just watching too much of the same thing can burn you out.

Heh, I simply can't get enough. Already stayed up too many nights watching episode after episode. Good thing I have vacation for once.

I am in the 80s now. Most major characters died haha. Though new characters emerged, the rate of people dying is higher than new people showing up, at least for now. So for the first time, the show is starting to lose some momentum, though it's still interesting and well-done.

I love the Three Kingdoms period and beleive it or not but the first time I actually got learn about it was through Dynasty Warriors:lol:
I will definetly have to check this one out. I've seen some good movies for it which you guys might want to check out like Three Kingdoms:Ressurection of the Dragon, Red Cliff(Chi Bi) and Lone Swordsman(All about Guan Yu)

I'm glad to hear it, about the show still keeping momentum that far. Need to watch this fast so I won't get spoiled of which persons will get killed. Really getting attached to some.

Some of the new and / or emerging characters are cool. The likes of Cao Pi, Lu Xun and especially Sima Yi. Sima Yi intrigues me already even though he has not demonstrated his cunning and shrewdness fully yet.

Do any of the major women(ie. Sun Shang Xiang) actually show up in this series that's the one thing I am not too pleased about with all the Three Kingdoms fiction that I don't like.

They do. But they don't have a huge role. Lady Wu is actually more important.

Thanks for posting, great show, just started watching it.
I had studied about the Three Kingdoms back in history class, but this is a lot more exciting. It would also probably make a fun setting for a Civ 5 mod.

There is actually a mod for it. Simply type 'Three Kingdoms' in the 'Mod' selection and it will pop up. Haven't tried it myself personally yet, but from what I've heard it's quite good.

Never heard of Dynasty Warriors - is that a strategy game about this historical period?

Lol I'ld use the terms histroy and strategy lightly.
To the point only the battles and factions are even remotely correct.
Unless you think a Lady of the Court, would be fighting battles, more so dressed like this.

Or that one leader who looks awefully like he came out of an anime, killing 600 men in each battle, by himself while jumping over mountains and bringing down siege engins by him self, while looking like this

Also no one ever dies, well the important folks. Also some of the people sound horrible.
They are (some of them at least) fun games. BUT,in terms of using it a historical contexxt...ehh, thats like treating McDonalds as fine eating.
Short of a few Japanese warring states Era games, there are no well known or even good Chinese based historical games at all, nevermind RTS or TBS. The Chinese for reasons I can guess at being largely cultural, don't market cultural or historic matters very well.Least not outside of China. Shame really.
Its like the whole Red scare going on in the Pentagon to justify high spending.
