One time these two European guys told me that since I live in Ohio I was a worthless POS and that I should be killed because 200 years ago some white people killed some Indians near where I live. And he was completely serious too, and said all Americans should be killed, not just me.

Lol, guess he completely forgot about the crusades and WW2 germany.

One guy just blasted music into his mic. It was very entertaining. The choice was eclectic: Numa Numa, Manamana (from the muppets), eye of the tiger, Nickelback (lol).

It was strangely cathartic blasting a banshee while gotye was wailing "But you didn't have to cuuuuuuuuut me offfffffffffff." I was singing along most of the time.

Just the other day I heard some guy talking to his girlfriend with the mic on, though it was mostly muffled so I just turned my mic off because it was a tad annoying. Later in the game during an objective I noticed he wasn't moving/playing at all. So I turned my mic volume back up and sure enough I heard what appeared to be "making out". I don't wan't to sound like a twelve year old here and say euuww gross...but...euw...gross. The noises were a little bit too clear for my liking. I shot at him a few times before reviving him later on.

Any game in which a female/transgender female with a mic is involved. The pandering towards them is completely shameless. Not to mention they get faster revives.

Which also makes me wonder how many players accidentally go out of their way to flirt with squeaky voiced 12 year-olds.

lol, I want to play with more female players just to see this in action. Sometimes even if you just use a female character people think you're a girl....

I'm on PS3 and am female with a mic but I don't think I get pandered to. :P People are too quiet actually. Maybe they think I'll be easily offended. Gets boring.

I had to give myself an attitude check after a game today, was on silver I think and I had unhooked my mic as 2 out of the other 3 people had no mic and no convos were going on but I have kinect which you can use instead of a mic. At the end of the game when we wiped I was cursing like a sailor because for one I was playing like an idiot and 2 I had tried to take out my missile launcher at least 5 times and it wouldn't come up with the other people already down. After my profanity laced tirade I realized that one person who ddid have a mic had probably heard me and I was rather embarrassed by my bad behaviour.

What? Did they forget Portugal and Spain raeping everything for a while? Where did the white people come from hummmm.... EUROPE. I would have flamed all over them. (Especially since I lived in Portugal for 6 years. Got the same attitude problems against Americans when I was over there as well, and worse because I'm half Brasilian.)

I had this one guy sit there for the entire game and tell me how people gay bash against him and wanted to talk about social concerns... and didn't get the hint when we said 'no one cares here' 'just play the game'
at extraction, told him that they don't bash on him because he is gay... just that he is a motor mouth twit...

then there are the kinect mics which make them sound like they are part of the wonder twins from old justice league cartoons...

and then there are the former halo, cod, etc players which go on about kill stealing...

and yeah... vanguard hate for some reason...
or overpowered weapon which you are using hate

So today I was placed in a Silver match with three randoms. All three of which we aparently friends, had high pitched voices, favored swear words, and all spoke about how "stupid" Father's Day was. Even not being a father myself, I found it a tad disrespectful in the direction the conversation was going so I muted them. The moment I turned on my mic again during an objective I was met with one of the kids chanting my gamertag and that I should go die, giving explicit directions, because I was doing his retrieval "job" since he was an infiltrator.

And this is why I'm so glad we have the "party" system on XBox. You should hear it with the Halo games. 10 yr olds. OMG. Squeel squeel squeeel. The game is rated "M". What are they doing playing it? Not only that I hate getting beat by them. :? So we go into private party chat. Yay! We don't hear them. They don't exist!

We used to turn friendly fire on in Rainbow Six Vegas rooms just for events like you described above ... you know follow them and when they're sneaking into sniping position toss some C4 up and detonate. Fun times. We'd be in a match sometimes and our team of course would be losing because we'd be laughing our asses off team killing each other. Then we decided -- why don't we just play "shotguns only on the dirt on teh 'streets' map" private. You know it was only a matter of time before that went to hell. :whistle:Ah fun times.

After one of the team had been synch killed he was following 1 guy in spectator mode and doing like a running sports commentary - "and around to the left of the Banshee and we have Joe Blow (or whatever the guy's name was) I do believe this is, yes it IS, a Reegar play to the Marauder's head ... and I think he's down for the count Jim..."

Oh and one more.... the kinect mic that was left on and the guy toking on his bong for a 20 minute match on Silver. bubble bubble bubble...hack hack hack......repeat repeat repeat. and it was the same dude because it was the same hack. Finally on wave 10 I turned my mic on and of course waited until he was holding it in...."Dude, next time buy some better ****. If you're not couch locked by three you bought oregano." He lost it.

Mostly it's just me taunting the AI or grumbling to myself. People aren't very chatty in my games. Otherwise it's just tip swapping and laughing about the crazy thing that just happened.

This would be the coolest thing I have heard over the mic. This happened more than a month ago, against Cerberus. While playing my AJ, I saw a phantom moving in on a teammate so I did my best to put a stop to that. However I did not know a second phantom was locked onto me and was coming up from behind. That is when I heard the sound of a sniper rifle shot so I turn the camera around to see a headless phantom. Over the mic I hear "Don't worry I got your back son" in a Sam Elliott type voice. Only time I can think anyone has saved me from sure death. Gave me the warm fuzzies for sure.

My favorite was when I first got my Reeger, and 2 other people in the lobby had them as well. They were going back and forth about Ghostbusters, so I decided I would run in, and fire wildly around them while yelling out "DONT CROSS THE BEAMS!". The one guy sounded like he was in tears laughing.

I play on PC so mic conversations are few and far between, but I've encountered some real loonies.

1. An angry Frenchman shouting at a laggy host "fix your connexion you f**k! FIX IIIIT!"
2. a bunch of teenagers gushing about my Kroguard skillz in gold ("wow, is that a Krogan?? Holy sh*t!")
3. Heavy breathers, spacebar slammers.
4. Some girl who had a voice like Tali which was ... er ... very nice.

But this video I recorded of a FBWGG match takes the cake! (seriously, watch it).

I have posted this once before elsewhere so apologies if you've already read it.  But I think it's pretty funny.  Probably one of the first rounds I ever played.  I was a human female infiltrator, armor color teal.  One of my squad mates was shooting me repeatedly, spending round after round muttering "Why.  Won't.  You.  DIE?!!"  And meanwhile, my character is saying things like "hold your fire" and "stop that."  I don't use my mic.  Eventually he seemed to figure it out.

Later, same guy says "I just got this game.  How do I use my powers?"

Another guy responds:  "You just use the powers button."

"Which one?"

"It's the big one on the console itself."

Yeah, I play on the PC, not many use their mics, and after checking out some of the vids and reading what people say on consoles, I feel blessed :)

(Never could be bothered to find out how I can use my USB mic in ME3 anyway, it doesn't work by default)

"Do you think this guy can do it? Do you think he can finish the wave by himself?"

"Awww yeeeah, he beat the crap outta that Atlas!"

"Sticky grenades work on Phantoms! Who knew?"

"Yeah dude! You're kickin' ass!!!"

"Just one more enemy!"

"Aww dude, it's a shame about that turret, huh?"

Too good.  Another one, after I had cleared the wave by myself:  "I really didn't think that guy could do it."

Goodness, I'm on PC and blabbermouths are few, but there was some fellow from somewhere in British Oceania (Australia? New Zealand?) who felt the need to announce on-mic every single instance that his AJ used the shield. (I'm fairly certain that the number of players by now who don't know what Biotic Sphere looks like, and what it sounds like, is smaller than the ME3 Ending Fan Club.)

That on its own wasn't bad, but I had forgotten how much different British profanity is from American profanity. And this guy spoke it fluently. I could have lived with about 50% less blasphemy, to be honest.
