 I don't know if anyone has done this before and I'm bored, so I'm just gonna go ahead and attempt a shot at making a tier list for weapons in ME. Feel free to give opinions on changes or inquiries as to what makes a gun top tier. This is my first time doing this, so I know it won't be perfect.

I did this tier list taking into account each gun's usefulness on Gold difficulty. The weapon placings are in no specific order.

S-Tier: 
Geth Plasma Shotgun (this gun is fkin stupid lmao)

D-Tier:
Striker Assault Rifle (this thing puts in no amount of work...sure it staggers and w/e, but it does very little damage for the low ammo capacity that it has)
Arc Pistol (charging the gun and shooting does a little less than a Carnifex shot, and it takes long, exposing you to all types of enemy fire. The singular fire is equivalent to shooting spit balls at your foe)
M-12 Locust (imo, BY FAR the WORST gun in the game. It's accurate, sure, but if I was to tickle you in the same spot I was aiming for every time, would you feel pain eventually?...that's what I thought)

widow, javelin and scorpion are all top tier weapons, and putting the valiant above the black widow is pretty absurd too-atleast it is when you only have valiant 2 and black widow 8.

I can understand the scorpion being a top tier weapon, but the Valiant is definitely better than the Black Widow by far. The Valiant does a little less damage than the BW, but has 3 shots, a default 30 rounds, shoots as fast as a viper, has virtually no recoil, and reloads as fast as an Avenger. I fail to see how the BW is better.

I think it would be helpful if you said what your tiers are supposed to do. For example:
S tier makes Gold easy mode
A tier is viable on gold
B tier is marginally viable on gold
Etc. Etc.

(I'm not saying that's how you're currently dividing up, just a hypothetical.)

After glancing at it, the only thing I see is ranking Mantis so low. It's viable (though just barely) on gold. Viper, on the other hand. . . .

Also, I know you're going to get a lot of criticism along the lines of "this sucks you're crazy what idiot would place [x weapon] above [y weapon], so I'm going to commend you for trying. This is certainly a hard project, so even though the first draft is going to be flawed, I approve of the effort!

Are you accounting for ease of use? Because in perfect play the blackwido is always better than the valiant, but it is much easier to get close to perfect out of the valiant than the bw.

A Black Widow X does about 62% more damage per shot than a Valiant X does. It also has 0.25m of penetration while the Valiant gets nothing. Despite being an UR, the Black Widow is also easier to level up, imo.

About the only things that a Valiant does better is it weighs less and has a faster reload(Which doesn't mean much if you're an Infiltrator).

I have those two at the same rank and never use the wraith. Am i doing it wrong?

The black widow is better than the valiant because you don't have to waste a mod on armor peircing with it. FYI the black widow has three shots too. You can shoot and reload faster than you can aim three headshots with it and if you run out of ammo with it you are staying in one spot for too long-being slightly slower on reload than the valiant doesn't make it worth losing the extra damage and piercing for the valiant. I would rather use a widow or javelin on gold than either of the BW or Valiant.

I made this tier list with the mindset that these weapons would be used on Gold mode. Also, I see that the Black Widow could be placed in S-Tier. The reason I put it in A-Tier was that I was comparing it to the Valiant, which has the same advantages as the Black Widow without the weaknesses: multiple shots with good power, but without the recoil and long reload time. As for the regular Widow, when playing on gold, unless used by a Salarian infiltrator, will have a hard time quickly dispatching enemies with shields.

The 20% less damage and lack of piercing on the valiant are huge weaknesses on gold.

Really, S-tier should only have carnifex, paladin, GPS and claymore.  No sniper rifle is worth the weight unless you are actually infiltrator.

The black widow is better than the valiant imo. It's not hard to use it on a non salarian infiltrator, you just need to be good at landing constant headshots.

-Easymode(ex, Krysae, GPS)
-Gold Viable(ex, Claymore, Black Widow, Talon)
-Not Easily Gold Viable(ex, GPR, Vindicator, Phaeston, Viper, Scimitar)
-Crap(ex, Locust)

Eagle gets all this hate but geth smg is even worse. At least eagle gets a piercing mod. 

OP the krysae should be a tier higher. The wraith is not an S tier. Saber is better than the revenant since the buff.

Am I the only one made about the tier for the Arc pistol? Thing has almost the same uncharged damae as a Phalanx X, and its max charge does 6x's damage which is comparable to the paladin. Slap it on an infiltrator, with AP V and EB V and it one shots Guardians on Gold without any amps.

No way is the canifex a top tier weapon. It does not have the stopping power for gold

LMFAO Disciple listed as A-Tier

If you are listing Javelin as a B-Tier because of poor player performance then you are doing it wrong. I have seen a lot of incredible Javilen users. It has the stopping power and the ability to fire through thick walls when modded properly and in the hands of a Geth Infiltrator it can cause some serious damage before the enemy even knows they are under fire.

Bottom line any gun can be good in the right hands... except the Disciple. OMG im still in awe that was placed in A-Tier. Its a horrible shotgun only decent in the hands of NovaCharge Vanguards... and we all know how usefull those are in Gold.
