I got Mass Effect 1 and 2 long before Origin was running. Now, I'd like to have all three of my games linked to my Origin account so I can have easy access to them. I've already registered both games to my EA account (they do show up on my EA profile page). How do I go about linking them to my Origin account?

I could not find anything about this on the EA help site. Also, it should be noted that I have a hard copy of ME2, but ME1 was a digital purchase straight from the EA site.

Offhanded question, if I register these games to my Origin account, will I also be able to access my DLC from there, or do I have to do something to register them on Origin as well?

You open the Origin application and 'redeem product code'. This should work on physical copies of games bought in 2009 and later. Mass Effect 1 may not be compatible.

Alright, it worked for ME2 but not ME1. Any idea how to get ME1 to work?

Don't think you can register ME1 at all anymore. Certainly never seen a profile badge for it here which suggests that nobody on the forums has registered their copy.

I'm not trying to register ME1 on the forums. I'm trying to register it with Origin. And I already have registered it on my EA account, same as I did with ME2.

Origin is not part of Mass Effect 1 or 2, only of ME-3.  This forum is about technical problems with hardware and with conflicting software.  "Registering" anything is more a concern of EA than of ME-2.

Mass Effect has separate Tech Forums for ME-1, ME-2, and ME-3 (that are actively remaining as much alive as this place is).

Congratulations. But ME2 was involved in the initial problem and I'd rather not make multiple threads about the exact same topic. Additionally, every thread over there is well over a year old, which leads me to believe that it is not frequented nearly as much as this section, thus posting there will most likely be for naught.

If it pleases you, I can rephrase my question to "How does registering ME2 differ from registering ME1?" Otherwise, I would thank you, and everyone else, if you would not clutter the thread with irrelevant posts.

I got mine registered to Origin after chatting with EA support. In the Origin application go to the help section and click on live chat. They will likely ask you for your name, email adress and product code. They even asked me to make a Pogo account for some reason.

Origin is not part of Mass Effect 1 or 2, only of ME-3.

While Origin is only a requirement for ME3, you can register the other two Mass Effect games in the Origin application to get a digital backup.

I think they haven't added support for the core Mass Effect game. Here's the EA FAQ.

On the other hand, if you have Pinnicle Station purchased through Origin, it should show up in your game library as 'Mass Effect: Pinnicle Station' and you can launch the game from there.

Edit: Didn't read Fredvdp's post. Try that first, unless you don't want to get saddled with a Pogo account.
