It occurs to me that finding Jack's real family identity should be simple after the LOTSB events.

1) Find the obituaries of Eden Prime for the year 2165.  Being that it'sonly 13 years removed from the colony being founded, it can't be that long of a list. y the first ME game the population of the whole planet was 4.7 million and that was after 18 years of colonization.  Let's conservatively say there are 3 million residents on Eden Prime in 2165
.  Just so we have a reference, a developed nation in today's world averages about 750-800 deaths a year per 100,000 people.  30 x 800 = 24,000 deaths in a year.
2) Narrow down that list to all the 'Jennifers' that died on Eden Prime in 2165 that were 3 to 4 years old. There probably  are very few people matching that description. You could probably accomplish all of this with a couple good hours of research and a public terminal *in the Mass Effect time frame of things*.
3) Whatever small # of candidates you have left can just be contacted and asked if their dead daughter was exposed to eezo...

I've found ancestors with less info then that in real life, with little to no records to boot.  You're telling me this can't be found in like 10 seconds with the Shadow Broker info at hand? What?!   :pinched:

I guess it's not a huge plot hole, but it seemed kind of strange to me that Liara knows Jack's first name, and the date/location of her 'death' but didn't bother to find out anything else.

Well, the shawod broker in ME3 is almost useless (Samantha is better than Liara regarding information). And btw, everything from the SB dossiers was never mentioned in ME3.

Poor writing everywhere...

Well, she does call Jack her real first name.

My avatar (Char Aznable from Gundam series)

And Jennifer is never mentioned in her dossier. The only name there is Jacqueline Nough, Jack's pen name.

I know, but in ME3 if you take Liara into Grissom Academy she *sometimes* tells Jack her real first name is Jennifer. So she looked into it enough to find that but nothing else.
And thanks for clearing up the Char thing heh =)

They won't make any dlc about Jack because:
- She is an expendable character.
- She isn't blue or a dextro alien.
- Walter's won't approve it.

10 good and interesting characters suffered this in ME3.

I don't think it would matter much to Jack anyway. Jack is Jack, not Jennifer - what is there to come back to anyway?

I think that's the compelling part though.   I'd think Jack might want to find out.   And I agree with Char, BW isn't going to add any single player DLC worth a damn unfortunatly. :?

Unless you're looking for some explosive drama and a murder trial, this is best left in the past.

Jack's family was separated for one of three most likely reasons:
-She was kidnapped by slave dealers
-Her family sold her to try to get her away from poverty
-She has no family because, similar to Miranda, she's a clone but, made by Cerberus

Uh, from Shadow Broker Dossier -

Helios Medical FacilityEden Prime, 2165
Tapped for possible Cerberus involvement

Doctor Castor: I'm so sorry. These things... there's so much about prenatal Element Zero exposure that we don't understand.
Unidentified Woman: But... no! No, she was fine! She was fine and happy! You just told me she needed a checkup!
DC: It happened quickly. We were unable to bring her back.
UW: You just said she needed a checkup! How did this happen?
DC: I'm very sorry.
UW: I want to see her!
DC: No ma'am. Believe me. After what the seizures did to the poor child's body, you don't.
UW: I don't... How did this happen?
DC: We don't know. I'll be honest. This isn't the first infant we've lost this way.
UW: Why? God. Why?
DC: We're working on treatments. The government doesn't put much effort into it, though. Don't want to interfere with their biotic recruitments.
UW: Sons of ****es. Those sons of ****es!
DC: Listen... this may not be the right time, but if you'd be willing to let us study your baby's body, we can do some tests.
UW: You want to keep her?
DC: I don't want another family to go through what you went through.
UW: I... Okay. Yes. Whatever helps.
DC: Thank you so much. The nurse will have you sign a few forms. I'm so sorry, ma'am.
(Unidentified Woman leaves at this point)
DC: Open a secure channel, authorization 3362... Yes. It's me. I've got a candidate... Yes, highest potential I've seen in years... No, the family has been dealt with. Send a team from Pragia ASAP.

It's unnecessary drama, IMO.

Pretty sure Jack was taken away from her parents because of her extraordinary biotic potential. Jack having biotic potential in the first place is mentioned by the (Cerberus) doctor in the conversation posted above.

And, yeah. Jack won't get anything because she's a ME2 character and LI. However, she is one of two potential LIs that can be on Earth at the end of ME3 (Miranda being the other). If the EC covers Earth, but doesn't mention Jack in any way, we can be sure that no one on the writer level gave more than 0 ****s.
