Was playing on condor vs Cerberus, a team mate had gone down on the top plat form and by the time I was able get to anywhere near that area, still a long ways away I see a cerberus goon about to do the death stomp. The boot is in the air, I get off a 'throw' and knock the goon off my teammate and am able to race over while shooting and get the rez. That felt more satisfying than anything I did for the rest of the evening for some reason.
(In that same game I was amazed to see a phantom do a flip pirouette from the ground to the top level area where you can snip from. Little beotches don't even have the courtesy to use the ramps like the rest of us.)
Your personal fav moment of heroism to save someone...

I hear you. I've had a few situations like that whilst using the Phoenix Vanguard. Somehow using Lash just as the boot is coming down, accompanied by "No you don't!!" is immensely satisfying.
Another one that springs to mind happened last night. Glacier, versus Geth. I was sprinting from the upstairs ammo dump towards the Extraction zone with around 10 seconds to get there. As I was running a squadmate went down by the counter in front of me. I revived him with just a sliver of health left, and we both sprinted to Extraction as GPR and Pulse Cannon fire flew over our heads. That was pretty epic.

Every time I run a HV and someone gets surrounded and killed...I charge in and stagger them then revive and draw all the aggro until they fall back and then I get outta there

Using Cerberus adept/vanguard's lash to save someone from the stomp is oh so satisfying. As well as a concussive shot or a throw, powers like that.
But I once used an Asari Justicar's bubble to push a group of troopers and centurions away from my downed teammate, revived him, and then biotic explosions were everywhere. Ha.

My personal favorite is charging in with a Krogan melee just before the foot is about to come down, knocking the Trooper into the stratosphere. Then revive.

Giant/Cerberus/Gold as my Vorcha Sentinel. Went down in hack circle, Salarian Engineer picked me up. Heard Phantom sound, turned on Flamer and sprayed area. I saw the Salarian about to be impaled by the Phantom, then she stumbled backwards from the fire. As she stumbled, she lost her head to a heavy melee.

Firebase Ghost vs Cerberus on Silver. Friend goes down, Trooper about to stop him. I catch the Trooper in a Submission Net just as his knee comes up, walk over, and Falcon Punch his head off.

trying to figure out how my entire team just managed to die on the other side of the map i casually walked over while cloaked and revived them all.
went right back to poping out of cloak with a single blast from the reegar killing spree... untill they died again.
was on giant vs Cerberus.

Makes you feel like "Bad Karma" from the cheesy Navy Seals movie with Charlie Sheen (!).

Last night while playing ex-cerberus adept, watch as a squad mate was getting picked up for some banshee homicidal lovin, I had no time to pull out a cobra so I smashed it to avenge my soon to be fallen comrade. To my surprise it staggered the ***** and dropped my teammate so he could run and go get some clean underwear and finish the mission. I felt pretty bad ***.

On FB Dagger, a Cerb goon was about to stomp in somebody's head. I arrived just in time, as my cryo ammo froze him mid-stomp making him fall on his back, allowing someone else to revive the downed player. The Trooper did look hilarious, frozen on one leg...

Dagger Gold Cerberus 2 team mates were insta killed by Phantoms ( we were playing as 2 man teams) I went to go help as things were getting bad before they died, didn't make it. then my partner went DBNO by yet another Phantom by time I got back, there were 2 phantoms dancing over him. Not having enough time to kill both then revive, I used my stasis bubble while they were directly on him, then revived. Made me a little nervous. We ended up winning that round!

I love playing medic with my novaguard. I can't tell how many times I've charged in, gotten the revive and charged back out, all while under heavy fire. I've gotten the 15 revive medal as a novaguard before (and only gone down a couple of times myself).
However, my absolute favorite is when someone goes down under a throng of enemies and there is no infiltrator on the team. I'll charge in and hold back the entire line while a teammate is clear to get the revive. I've drawn aggro from 2 Primes, 3 Pyros and at least a couple of Hunters and Rocket Troopers, so the teammate can be revived from right underneath of them... and I lived to tell about it.

Not really heroism, but once my Kroguard was in the round 'sniper-nest' on Dagger, and a teammate went down on ravager juice in the big open space down below. There would definitely have been no time for me to waddle all the way down there before bleed-out. Then I spotted a nearby swarmer:
gethinych [Biotic Charge] Swarmer
LuckyChap99 was revived by gethinych

Playing Human Vanguard with Hurricane on Firebase Giant on Bronze. The pizza delivery on Wave 10. I was a short way off doing Vanguard business with mobs to keep them off the pizza man and his escort. See both go down in short order and rush to help. See two Brutes and a Banshee and a few Cannibals in the area around the two fallen comrades. Not sure where our 4th man is but clearly not in the immediate area.
It is long odds of pulling it off but I go for it with the Zoom and Boom. Charge one of the Brutes and Nova and burst from Hurricane in the face as I roll and strafe off. Brute is still alive but hurt. Turn and Charge/Nova and Hurricane to the face on the second Brute. Zoom and Boom to the Banshee. There is enough room between the three heavies for me to ricochet between them like a pinball.
I don't know how many charges I ended up doing between the three heavies but I dropped the Banshee and two Brutes and the Cannibals and got the rez on the two fallen comrades in time. Quite the feeling of exhilaration to pull it off and I though for sure my rescue was doomed for failure but I had to try. Nothing like coming up aces for that stunt.

Such moments are indeed quite rewarding emotionally.
My favorite, apart from the already mentioned phantom-pause-button, is interrupting a Banshee grab. Teammate already in the air and about to receive the final blow, HS and me (AA) rushing around the corner, instant warp/throw and *boom*.

Charged all the way across jade yesterday with a drellguard to revive someone. I was in the upper area on the balcony and luckily there was a target right by him. Charged in, dropped a cluster, revived and charged back out.

When a teammate is down and I see a Geth/Cerberus trooper about to stomp him, I run in and Krogan melee charge the guy out of nowhere and he goes flying...then get the teammate up. Happens quite a lot.

Teammate lifted by Banshee/Brute.
Banshee/Brute gets rocketed.
Yay for Nick, the Rocket Savior!
It was also effective with the Krysae.
