I`m sorry for posting so much, but
commandoclone87 - you reminded me about "notes" option in "Neverwinter Nights". I loved it and kept both notes and character diary, it made me dive into game and brought about some great interaction.
So I may suggest a notebook, like grimmour with blanc or \\ and colourful pages.

I have to agree with what some of the others have said, I would love: A cloth map, or even a large paper one.. I love to frame those things. A pendant, specifically I love the idea of the Grey Warden one. Art books with concept art are always neat, I loved the ME3 one. OSTs are also nice, and lastly.. Figures. (And whomever said we need an Alistair figure.. YES. I've been dying for one. I will throw money at you.)

I used to love artbooks more than anything, but now I'm in the figure/wearable item phase..
So pendant/necklace that is unique and easily identifiable to the series or a figure, preferably female character since I've got way too many ugly man figures from other games..
I think the pendant/necklace is probably more preferable though, a grey warden commander pendant/necklace with the double griffin would be pretty awesome, something I'd definitely wear.

Late to the party, but I would love a cloth map. It just adds a bit more feeling, y'know?

I think a piece of jewelry (necklace, etc.) with interchangeable pieces would be interesting. Like, putting a templar symbol or a warden symbol on it. Give the buyer a feeling of customization! If I had a really nice necklace with the Templar crest on it, Id wear that EVERYWHERE!

A Lore Book - Yeah! Pick up the entire game codex about places, characters, histories, legends, etc (even from previous games) and put it into some nice big hardcover book.
Behind the Scenes Bluray (production, interviews, voice over etc) + OST (CD and digital)
Poster/Lithograph - like "The Team" litho from ME2 with all your companions (im still waiting for a litho like this for DA:O e DA2...), and plz, much bigger than the litho from ME3 CE...
ArtBook - And like above, bigger than ME3 one plz (a nice size for both art and lore would be the Skyrim artbook)
Tin Case (the inside of the Band of Brothers tin case is one the most beautiful i ever seen)
Leather (fake) Map.
I would love some statues, but in fact i would love to collect an entire series of DA:O DA2 1/7 (20cm) statues, costing some nice 70~80$ ones, MAKE IT HAPPEN BIOWARE!
For the CE an 10cm minibust statue of the main/important character would be very nice.
I would hapelly pay around 150$ for all that.
I don't care for in game itens and things alike. I hope there is no day 1 DLC containing an companion, but if it does, this DLC should be free for CE holders (actually, it should work like Zaeed dlc in ME2)

The things i loved most were actually the nontangible - the in-game reward items.
All other tangibles (with the exception of soundtracks) are nice to look at once or twice but generally just sit in the box after that. The in-game items however, those are fun to play with for hours and hours - assuming they are done correctly and stay usable.
But if the item has to be tangible, then id say concept art/lithographs and soundtracks rank highest, with figurines next, and then patches and books following after. Its always nice if they come with some sort of display frame or stand, so that its easy to show them off.

I agree with this. A lore book would be awesome! A dvd of 'behind the scenes' footage would be great and of course, gotta have the soundtrack.

A photo of the cast of the game so far. Something kind of blood splatter painted like the trailers and graphics of Dragon Age 2. I mean the main character cast, not every being that ever existed. Something big and fold up like Rockstar does with most of their maps, that would be pretty wicked. Or a lovingly rendered portrait of Hawke and the Warden with the DA3 Main Character in between them? Of course signed by the artist that drew it and the cast that went into making the game. One Side is the massive picture the other side is a wall of names, to show how much love and time went into it.

I would want morrigans ring or some cool piece of grey warden loot.
A statue wouldnt be a good idea unless it was a well known character
And they werent a main character. I would really like a grey warden shield but
Thats not realistic to fit into a package.

I love statues. If hawke returns then a good idea I had would be to have a statue with both male and female hawkes back to back. Also I loved the mark of the assassin DLC, favourite DLC ever. I loved Tallis and hope she makes a return, a statue of her would be awesome. Random thought aswell, a mabari.

Soundtrack is a given. I'm a sucker for little collectibles. I would love to see some kind of small jewelry item (ring or necklace) that is a copy of an item in the game. Pendants or keychains would also make me happy!

It would be great to have some sort of book from the game. Kinda like they did with Halo Reach CE, which included a great and pretty thick diary of a scientist. It felt like Henry Jone's Grail diary in Indiana Jones.
So yeah, Flemeth's grimoire or the diary of Cassandra / Leliana or any other character really...

Partial to the art book and digital soundtrack. It's always really nice to get the music from games like this, where the soundtrack is an integral part of the experience.

Only SWTOR Collector's Edition was a good version. We need more real content:
Art Book
OST CD
Dragon Statue (or statue popular hero, like Morrigan)
Something, what we can take with us - charm\\pendant
Uniq DLC - for example, special fatality for our Hero
And price - 100$ or more. Collector's Edition (maybe Dragon Edition?) must have a good price.
List of real good Collector's Edition:
Darksiders II CE
Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition \\ Deluxe Vault Hunter Collector's Edition
Guild Wars II CE
Max Payne 3 Limited Edition
Gears of War 3 Epic Edition
BioWare is a great dev.company. You must creat something realy cool!

- An insert booklet that can be used like a pop-up book when placed inside the game case. The pop-up can be a scene of a city or place; Like the grand cathedral of Val Royeaux.
- A holographic sticker depicting a battle scene and/or a mage casting magic
- A cloth map
- A small 'Velvet Cailan' painting
- A keychain
- A necklace

The Grey Warden's joining amulet
Morrigan's Ring
Hawke's crest
something special from the new character.
In game items.
I would pay to have a Warden and Hawke fully customizable as a companion that was based on your previous choices.
Side note to the last one I am hoping for a chance to Play the Warden again. Maybe a game where you can choose one of the protagonists from DA 1 2 and 3

A full art book. Not a tiny one like the Mass Effect 2 and 3 collector's edition artbooks, but a full artbook like the one Skyrim did.

I'd love a large map. The small cloth one from Origins was nice but looks so tiny beside my Skyrim map. Also a codex of important lore connected to the plot of the game would be nice. I've never been a fan of statues or jewlery. They either get lost or broken. Books and maps last a lot longer.
