Map was added to the Collector's Edition Dragon Age: Origins.

Huh, I had no idea!

Well, I wouldn't complain if they made another one :P

(and given the specific focus of The Next Thing, they could always have finer details of towns, cities, or areas in the game - assuming there's more than one location.)

These are a few of the things I would love to see from the game (in no particular order). Some have been mentioned before but I will reiterate for emphasis:

- Grey Warden necklace! Must have!
- Alistair's Mother's Amulet
- Zevran's Earring
- The Lyrium Ring you give to Kristoff
- Tethras Signet Ring ^_^
- The Book of Shartan (signed "Owned by Fenris. From Hawke to me year so and so of the Dragon Age")
- The Collected Codices of Dragon Age bound in a beautiful book
- Soundtrack (ofc!!)
- Canvas maps
- Fenris' red band
- Book of the Qun

.. I realise I posted several references to books. I really like books ^_^

Oh, I want a plenty of them:
Zevran's scull.
Leliana's spinecord wand.
Sebastian Eyes.
Sten's severed hand.
Alistair's ribcage.
Merrill's ears.
And most of all - Wynne's skin Armour. I really miss human flesh armor from BG2
They are all useless and deserve to die anyway.

I don't particularly care for in-game content. I'll use it if it's available, but I'd purchase in-game items as DLCs too, after the CE is released.
What I like is stuff I can show off - either on my desk, on my wall, in my library, or on myself.

>>> an amulet from the game and/or a Grey Warden pendant (I would throw a lot of money at Bioware for a decent Grey Warden pendant!);
>>> soundtrack -- would it be too much to ask for lyrics + translation where applicable, too? I've seen maybe 4 or 5 threads about Rogue Heart and Mage Pride crop up over the past year, and I'd like to have word of god on lyrics in the future;
>>> artbook/encyclopedia with notes from writers/artists on the plot (for the more than just the new game, if possible) and character design evolution and so on;
>>> a statue of a high dragon, yes yes yes!
>>> posters are the easiest things to stick in these sets;
>>> anything wearable, other than pendants/amulets: bracelets? Bandannas? Belts/buckles? Rings? Anything that's specific to one of the new characters;
>>> even a statue/figure of the new protagonist/s would be awesome! A potential buyer could either get two small figurines (male + female default), or would have to pick one set, with a bigger figurine and stick with it.

Obviously these are just suggestions and a collector's edition doesn't have to have ALL of them, but the more items there are going to be in it, the more eager I get about having it and the more I'm willing to spend.

Soundtrack would be best. And maybe a necklace or something I could wear to show off my fan-boy-ism ^^ And cool statuettes are always welcome.

In game content isn't bad, a soundtrack would be cool too. Though a grey warden pendant and/or a statue of the main characters or some companions or the archdemon would seal the deal for me. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head but that's basically the general idea.

Hmm. Good question.

For me, the over the top collector's editions do nothing for me. Take the Gears of War Marcus Fenix statue as a prime example. I can't play with it, it's too big for a normal shelf, and the price doesn't justify what I'm getting.

That being said, I do love the collectors that are only an extra ten-or-twenty bucks on top of the RRP.

So with that price point in mind, here's what I would like:

A toy is an obvious choice. Sacred 2 (although the figurine was awful) had the right idea. Maybe just a small statuesq figure that around five inches. Now that would fit on my shelf, hell, it might fit next to my copy of Dragon Age III.

I'd also like something that benfits me as a player exploring the new land you set out in front of me. Maps are great, but when it's just a coloured version of the in-game map, it gets a little bit predictable. Instead, why not have a map with points of interests on? Why not a map that has colour-coded areas telling the player that certain areas have better drops, or bigger enemies?

Okay, that's a terrible idea, but I'm sticking to "something that benefits the player" on their journey. I'm sure you guys could come up with something that fits the bracket better.

Randomly, what about necklaces? I would proudly wear the Kirkwall logo as a pendant on a chain, that came with a collectors edition. It would be like the Dark Mark, a way for Dragon Age fans to identify other fans. In fact, I could run up to people and shout "WHY NO MORRIGAN!?"

Perhaps scratch the last part, but you get the idea.

A large map, hard copy and on disc. The one on disc having mouse over comments and information.

(example, mouse over location and get, Grey Wardens cache, 1st meeting of Morrigan and the Warden)

Oh good, I hope this means we're back to having physical items in the Collector's Edition, I was pretty disappointed with DA2's digital only items.

I'd be happy with a map (maybe as a mousepad?), soundtrack, and art book, but some other ideas would be a deck of Wicked Grace cards, an Orlesian mask (doesn't have to be life sized, but that would be cool), and everybody loves dragon statues.

I've seen it requested a few times, and I'm not hating on other's suggestions, but PLEASE don't include any figurines or statues of "iconic" player characters. It's guaranteed to be a turn off to certain people, and for me it would make me just get a digital edition. I understand why the "iconic" DefaultWhiteDude is used in marketing (even if I don't like it), but the Collector's Edition is usually purchased by more dedicated fans, and many of us prefer imagining our own characters in the lead role, and don't purchase merchandise with images of a marketing version of the player character. Please keep us in mind too.

Something practical. I have many statues and many posters/maps. But the things I use most are special boxes to keep my games or the backpack I got from infamous 2.

A special box that can store multipel dvd cases might be nice. The halo 3 le holds the halo trilogy.
A usb stick containing wallpapers and extras that is shaped like an item from the game would also rock, like blizzard does.

I do have one idea. A physical codex. Every codex entrey in the series, all the utterly fantasic lore...in a leather bound book. Or hell, maybe an actual copy of the chant of light.

Stickers, cloth patches i use as coasters.

Exclusive items are bull**** because if you want the whole game you need to pay extra. By all means attach extra items to stuff like the newsletter or buying a new copy like da2 did. but the way me3 did it sucked. My preordered le was screwed up so I had to ebay it.

Digital content should always be stuff that the LE gives you early or for cheap...not exclusive. And as nice as soundtracks are, we can get them off youtube. Season passes that let us pre buy all the dlc are an excellent idea, as we see god of war and halo are now using them.

Let's see.... Couple of ideas come to mind. How about a special (maybe tin?) box, cloth map of known Thaedas, NPC or historic character cards with art and background such as Maric, Calenhad, Loghain, The Warden, Hawke, Justinia, Flemeth, Morrigan, Anders, Alistair etc., character miniatures, art booklet, history of Thaedas booklet including events of DAO and DA2, concept art and last but not least, DLC equipment. Also it has to be less that or equal to 90.00 approximately.

Codex, morrigan's ring or Alistair's rose, a nug (ungreased).
I do like little sword letter openers. But the Codex would be awesome.
