Whaaaat? That collector's ed' definately didn't exist in the UK...

I'd love to see something personal, like the above mentioned pendants, or a nice little displayable emblem or shield of the grey wardens. Something only a fan would appreciate. Action figures are awesome but really general, you can buy them anytime, same with the maps, although pictures on canvas are really nice.

If you wanted to own a piece of Dragon Age history in a collector’s edition of a future hypothetical title, what item (or kind of item) would you most treasure?

A copy of the Chant of Light, in beat-up-old-tome form.

I'd take it everywhere.

That's the best one I've seen. That would be awesome. Sorta like the diary they brought out in the Halo: Reach legendary edition, but times a hundred.

PS sorry for the double post.

Artbooks are neat, but it's better if they're full-sized books (I was kind of disappointed in the ME3 artbook, just because the pictures are so small its hard to see all the detail).

Otherwise, I tend to like the full-sized fantasy replica swords/weapons from TV shows and movies, but I'm not sure DA has any iconic weaponry.

Or things that are practical, rather than sit on the shelf. A letter opener in the shape of a sword, for example.

I also like the idea of soundtrack on cd and concept art books and maybe a book with history and life storys of the characters, but also some figures would be cool of either a dragon or of some characters, i personly would love it if there was a fenris figure, ive wanted one since da2 came out.

Extremely important for all of us to have subjects having big values in the game world.
I offer the following things:— Fabric картиа world— Medalyyon of gray guards— The book in firm cover содержаща certain "secret knowledge", a bestiary or something else, probably, one that helped to kill and expose mother Morrigan, the literary preface or the preface to game.— A mask, the word of honor, I do not know whom or that, probably, something new of the third part of game, but a mask it is always good. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/alien.png[/smilie]— Well and a figurine where without it, let will be кунари, all love кунари, I love кунари, I even would play for кунари if will allow. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie]

...or a snowglobe of the "Golden City" or "Arlathan" or etc.

To echo the illustrious bear, a Golden City snowglobe would be wonderful (with dual city facades - one side golden, one side blackened, and maybe a split globe design so that sparkly bits rain down upon the Golden City, while little dark specks fall on the Black). Or a miniaturized city of Kandor Kirkwall in a bottle.

Not too long ago, I had wistfully wished for a plush darkspawn, or a cheese knife with the symbol of the Grey Wardens etched on the blade.

But any amulet or ring of note made into an actual wearable accessory would be lovely. As would the the essays and journals of Brother Genitivi in printed form.

Map, soundtrack, artbook. Not something to collect dust on a shelf.

I'm not really into Collector's Editions (it's the game that matters, not the bonus content), however something about the game devellopement would be nice. Maybe an artbook or making of videos.

What I want most of all in the collector's edition are good in-game items. There should be some for each class. The items would be better than the items you would otherwise have at the start of the game, but not be overpowered since you would later get better items.

What I would like to see included with the collectors edition would be a book with more history and facts about important characters and their concept art. It would be something good to give to the players since the people who preorder care about all of that information.

all I really need is an artbook ... a real book, not one of those tiny DVD-case-sized thingies with ~30 pages ... the Art of the Mass Effect Universe was a good one ...
and you can always sell them separately, too, as was done with the original ME artbook

soundtracks on CD are also nice :D

Something like in the Halo Reach CE. There was a figure of the whole noble team.

An artbook would be nice, too.

All in a big chest like in Assassins Creed 3

I think a replica of a Joining Chalice, Phylacery or some in-game amulet would be a nice bonus.

I'm going to throw in a vote for some jewelry pieces. Like a silver Templar (or other faction) charm on a leather chord. That way it's unisex.

Oooo how about a book of concept art with the outer cover designed to look identical to the leather bound book Cassandra was carrying when she interrogated Varric in DA2?

The Warden's Oath Pendant sounds like a pretty solid idea.
If possible, I would love a little miniature chalice, like the one used in the joining, maybe with the actual rites printed on it. It could even double as a shot glass!
Or maybe a map of Thedas, if nothing else.

I'd totally dig a replica leather Seekers book (blank inside). I'd use it as a recipe book.

I like to echo the people who have suggested a book of lore or something to that end. It's always nice to flip through books like that.

Figures can be nice but I would be more interested in a figure of a character rather than a monster IE not a dragon or something like that.

I always like funny/amusing/absurd stuff too, like maybe printed letters/notes from the followers. Imagine reading a letter from Isabela or Varric

Like...'The Collected Works of Varric Tethras' - leather bound, gilt-edged.

Or Isabela's friend fiction - limited edition, first time in print!

I'm not really into knicknacks or baubles so any figurines or lithographs will probably get garage-saled instead of being displayed in my house. I love DA enough to talk about it all the time, but not enough to let it alter the motif of my house by proudly displaying a figurine on my shelf - sorry. Image IPB

I do, however, love DA enough to sport some kind of DA-related pin or pendant, as other's have said - like the Joining amulet or maybe a phylactery. If I wasn't wearing it I'd have it proudly hanging on my car's rearview mirror. Image IPB I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the broken away mages/Templars will design their own modified Chantry symbols, so that'd be cool - and Orlais probably has a cool crest we could rock too. Or the Ferelden crest with the mabari on it. Who doesn't still just love Ferelden?

I also, like others have said, love DA enough to rabidly devour any extra pieces of lore and would totally love to have a DA tome on my bookshelf. I'd love to have "Hard in Hightown" or a collection of letters between characters we love, maybe some un-encrypted Grey Warden missives, or tales from legends we know only a little about - like Andraste or Garahel, or some of the Dalish legends.

Definitely no dragon statues, please! - Skyrim already did it and it wasn't great, in my opinion.

More prints would be nice. Ones I can frame and put on my wall. Though I don't necessarily want just final polished work. The concept art of main characters or races with the sketches showing the progression from concept to final would be awesome. I love to see the creative process of developing people/races in my favorite worlds. Soundtracks with exclusive content is another plus.

I'm a total sucker for soundtracks and art books.

Otherwise, I like small, useful things. One example of a collector's item I really liked was the USB key that came with the Diablo III CE and rested in a smallish base shaped like Diablo's skull. It was relatively small so adds less clutter to the house while providing some material decorative/nostalgic value I can keep on my desk, and the USB key is useful in of itself and had the bonus of having the older Diablo games on it.

I don't know if something like that would be easy to do for Dragon Age, but I'd love to have something similar from the DA universe. A USB key could have the soundtrack and/or concept materials on it, too. Another example of a CE item that might be useful and small that I can think of is something like a letter opener shaped like an iconic in-game weapon. I would definitely use something like that.

I'm personally not usually into the big statuettes and bulky material things like that some CEs include because I don't have space for them. I'd rather buy those things separately as merchandise later on if I really like it.

EDIT: I also second a bunch of the other ideas up there, like the Joining Chalice shot glass, replica book, and pendant/pin/etc.
