I always like funny/amusing/absurd stuff too, like maybe printed letters/notes from the followers. Imagine reading a letter from Isabela or Varric

Like...'The Collected Works of Varric Tethras' - leather bound, gilt-edged.

Or Isabela's friend fiction - limited edition, first time in print!

Yes, exactly!

I would by the crap out of that :D

In case this isn't obvious, let me remove any fetters.
This game:
http://store.fatshar...or-edition.html
has an 8000 Euro CE.
If you have always wanted something crazy, now is your chance to ask.

Fine... then I change my vote to a full deluxe pedicure and foot massage given by Gideon Emery and Steve Valentine. Make it so.

That's kind of creepy that he comes into your home to watch you play a video game. :o

For 8000 euros I could buy a pony...

Edit: Could we get ponies in the CE?

Heh.
If we actually did a 10,000$ edition, there would be several additional tiers.
I imagine:
1. Something slightly more $ than the standard box with a few things (80-90$)
2. Something like the Skyrim CE with a lot more physical content (150-200 ish)
3. Something crazy ($500+)
No promises on any of these (there are a lot of group other than me that get to weigh in)

An artbook that contains at least a hundred pages. Like those "The art of..." books.
OR
A detailed or really good Dragon Age Encyclopedia
OR
The Chant of Light book

Oh! This might be something you should have started on earlier if it was a CE-thing but a behind-the-scenes DVD would also be really cool.

For me to spend $500, I'm afraid the entire team would have to come to my house and act out the game. In full costume ... like at Medieval Times.

I don't like things that are too big, I don't have much shelf space and they just end up being stored in a cupboard or something never to be seen again.

I prefer real life versions of in-game items.

For example: The Fallout 3 Collectors Edition contained a small bobble head figure (which you collect in-game to raise stats). Fallout:NV's CE contained a replica platinum chip - an item important to the game's story.

Apologies for referring to Bethesda games in my answer but it was the easiest thing I could think of to use as an example. I like small things that actually feature in the game.

I also like soundtracks and art books.

Edit: In a future CE if you decide to include a figure of the main character or something like that, please make it gender neutral (helmeted, armoured - or with interchangeable parts like Revoltech figures).

Something that says "Dragon Age" and not just "generic fantasy". For example:

--Something Dwarven - like a statue that you'd see in Orzammar.

--One of those great Dalish caravan things with the big red flaps (this would be my 1st choice)

--Or perhaps something with one of those awesome 2D motion graphics that accompany all the narrated scenes. Like a piece of a cave wall, or a bit of a ruin with a fresco on it

edit: I second Cathey's point that the Fallout items are a good benchmark (definitely better than the Mass Effect collector's editions, that's for sure). The Fallout 3 bobblehead was perfect

I would love a Grey warden Symbol ie a necklace would be best. To show your pride for the Games.
OST is a Must also
Some kind of lithograph as well.
Im asking for alot LOL

I was just getting ready to say that I would like a necklace with the grey warden symbol on it too lol, glad I'm not the only one. I would also love a concept art book, I love those things and pretty much always get them when they are available. I also think it would be kinda cool to have it come with maybe a little short story about one of your party members or something like that. Final Fantasy 13-2 did something like that, and even though I wasn't thrilled with the game I really thought this was a cool idea. Also like most people I'd love a soundtrack, what can I say I love the music in DA. It makes me feel epic listening to it Image IPB lol. And finally I think it would be pretty cool if maybe it came with a statue of one of the main characters from DA3, kinda like how Duke Nukem Forever did. Yes I know the game sucked, but the statue was pretty epic!

Well thats all I can think of right now, but I'll probably be back later in a couple minutes when I remember something lol. Let me just say that I'm eagerly awaiting DA3 and am very happy that Bioware is taking the time to ask us these questions. So thank you Bioware, love you guys Image IPB!

Edit: I"m back lol! I was just looking through some of the other suggestions and someone said The Chant of LIght book. Which I think would be completely awesome. So add that to my list please.

Stuff from in game. Something all grey wardens would get, ie. pendantBlood mage things like a figurine or something that represents themSeeker stuff, etc.
Swords, staves, armour, shields etc would be wicked cool!
Statues would be cool. Not a map, as cool as it would be my skyrim one just sits on the case.
Oh and i would love a LONG art book!
preferable like $180-$200 would be a good price enough for something cool but not to much.

I love things like art books and soundtracks especially if the soundtrack includes tracks that can not be found anywhere else.

As for price range, I think I would go as far as I needed if it included assorted jewelry and books (Genitivi's Assorted Essays, The Chant of Light, The Collected Codices bound in leather, Varric's Hard in Hightown, Fenris personal  copy of Book of Shartan) and clothes items. I would LOVE all or any of these items and have pondered making some of my own.

I'm not very into collectibles, but soundtrack/artbooks are always great. If I DID want a more tangible item, I think it would be awesome to have a joining amulet/chalice.

If it's a collector's edition, either a book choc-full of artwork, similar to the N7 Edition. Or a book about DA's universe, going into detail about each race and culture.

What I really want though is a book with messages from the writers, like I'll see the name of one of the writers and a quote next to it that says something like: "I wrote Fenris' scene! Notice how his attitude changes after Hawke steps into the room."

yea

How accurate would the costumes have to be?

A grey warden pendant or statue would be awesome. I would prefer the statue cause thats what I collect. Sound tract is all ways a bonus to have.

A deck of cards would be pretty awesome, we could get unique illustration for the card faces, the card back could match the branding of the game and it would be something people would probably enjoy showing off to their friends (aka table top conversation "oh what's this from" "oh this awesome game dragon age 3 you should check it out"). You might even be able to have a card game designed by team bioware (whether it uses the standard deck or a unique deck). :)

I normally don't buy Collector's Editions because the main extra content is DLC and I don't use an internet connection with my consoles, but I'd consider it if there was a cool statue. A dragon would be awesome.

I've always had a thing for concept art and behinds the scene stuff. Maybe a making of artbook. If you want to get a little crazy with it maybe a behind the scenes dvd or whatever with interviews with the teams that worked on the game who are willing to give a few thoughts and words about their creative process during the game(s).

I'm not a big fan of statues. Just something extra to dust off for me though. That said if you want to give physical stuff out I'd like books, graphic novels, high quality maps, rings or necklaces, maybe a short lorebook "written" by Brother Genetivi himself designed like it's straight out of Thedas. I'm a huge sucker for those kinds of items, papers books and stuff designed like it's out of the game world and not ours (Halo Reach Halseys Journal is a good example). Having something like that would instantly bump me up into preorder status.

Lets talk about something less pleasant that's a bit of a sore spot however. Day one/preorder DLC.
Please don't use a character that's such a big part of the game as a collector edition incentive again. Make them free for new copy owners and then charge separate for him/her/it for used copies.

Another almost acceptable way to do it would be to make it a free upgrade for preorders, similar to DAII. I'm probably wasting my breath here though as I'm guessing you guys have no say in this from your standing.
