To be perfectly honest, I love the soundtracks, but offering a digital copy is bad for those of us who have craptastic internet and can barely load this page to let you know. :P So the soundtracks are super, preferable on disk or maybe a little thumb drive? A little Grey Warden symbol, or Chantry symbol, or Seeker symbol on a thumb drive would be neat. Maybe all three, and you don't know which you'll get until you open it? Maybe a little Joining chalice?

I love the idea of an art book, though you'd totally have to start from the beginning and offer up all of the first two games' characters, too. :P Not the random nobles, but you know, the big guys.

Figurines and statues are always fabulous. I'd really enjoy a figurine of Sandal and Bodahn Feddic, or Flemeth, since they've been in both DA games. However, having a piece from a new game would be awesome as well, so don't get me wrong.

I'm not too keen on the maps, myself, but I know that others are. I think that, if a cloth map was the direction you went, making a huge one and having smaller maps on the bottom of the map of Kirkwall, Ferelden, and the new area we'll be exploring in a new game would be pretty nice. Cover all of the bases. :) I'd probably enjoy a map if this route was taken. Show where you've been, then where you are now kinda thing.

Hmmm, so many great options already given. I'll add a few more. How about your package that the game comes in will be the collector piece. An example would be: the game would be packaged in a Blood Dragon Armor Helmet or another tin in the shape of one of the shields from a game past or the new game present or future. Example would be a Grey Warden Shield. With maybe a pendant from the past or from the new game. Lithographs in photo size might be good too to frame later in your own frame.

Maps, soundtracks, and art are always welcome.

Also, you guys keep saying hypothetical so do you mean the game will be made (DA3) or the what the new game will be about....like did you do the DR or not?  The DR is defiantly a hypothetical situation for everyone.  Just wondering why the use of the word hypothetical is being thrown around so much.  Image IPB

A cloth map of Thedas would probably be my pick.

This would be mine too, but a map of the whole of Thedas, not just the bit we are visiting. I would actually buy this seperately too. I love maps.

I like figurines and medallions and the like, but in general I think a map and a book always go well. It would be great if the book was a compilation of all the codex entries, illustrated. I would love that, in fact I have been putting one together myself from Origins and DA2. It's taking a long time though...

If I had to say what i really wanted in a collectors edition, it would have to be art book, blu ray extras such as behind the scenes and interviews (i love the process of creating, and watching the technical steps, concept, concept art, audio, animation, writing, modeling, voice actors, etc) and soundtrack.

That being said i thought the collectors editions for Infamous 2, Arkham City, and Uncharted 3 was a great model. 99 dollars and some good looking swag was a good value.

Now being able to read the comments, I wish to add that a soundtrack, by the format being a cd, should be included. And a book all about Dragon age. Blood mages, the chantry, the paragons, the silent sisters, cultures, Dalish elfs and qunari, I want it put in a big book. And if you do a figure, see if it can be by square enix please. They do good work, I mean wonderful work. And maybe go to them the next time if you want to make a anime for dragon age again. Please. Thank you so much again for listening to us. We are so thankful.

And also, "I want some pie". Nah... just Enchantment.

I would have mentioned the soundtrack too, but I thought that was almost a given.

Grey Warden Pin/medal something subtle, yet obvious for a fellow fan to spot. No maps, no figurines. Or more awesome an autographed lithograph limited edition print. I bought all the originals. Love me my Archdemon print.

A Dragon statue. A better statue than Skyrim. And bigger than the Normandy one in the Alliance Ed of ME 3. Quite good as Malgus from TOR CE.

A nice quality cloth map is always nice. Or a nice artbook (assuming the game has nice art in the first place however). The codex suggestions sound interesting too. Actually, a printed and illustrated timeline, maybe along with a printed codex would be pretty cool.

Above all with a collector's edition, give it a nice steelbox case.

I agree with all of the above.

Two more things:
  • Miniature first issue comic book teasers are the epitome of meh, mehness, mehity.
  • CE's are for the hardcore fans. No matter how you spin it DA2 cost you much goodwill among that segment. Therefore the following goes double: Do not have it pre-order-exclusive or have so limited a print run that it's effectively the same difference, maybe even worse! It should be available for at least a month after release.

"Andraste in Repose" is what I want. Although technically, since it's invisible, I could tell people I already have one.

Art books and soundtracks are things that appeal to me, but I really like the idea of more content in book form. You've done a great job expanding the lore into other media and this would be another great opportunity. Flemeth's grimoire, Cassandra's book on the champion, perhaps short stories from Isabella's collected friend fiction, something with more to dig into that only fans of the lore would get into.

Something I would really like to have is an art book of the Dragon Age universe, you know, put pictures of cities, mountains, big time people, races, EVERYTHING! Then on the next page I would put littles stories about the images, a detailed summary of what they are. Basically, sort of like an encyclopedia with pictures. That way people can find out about Tevinter and other cities, cultures, and anything else. And of course, in-game content like weapons, armor, maybe a few extra missions. Definitely in game DLCs and those Item Packs similar to those
