Hmm tough questions....
Most fun and effective: Human Vanguard (the one with nova)  It's always fun, but only effective when I don't glitch and can charge and nova cancel when I press the bottons.  Usually I use a talon, or the combo of disciple and carnifex.

Effective but boring: Infiltrator of any class with a sniper rifle.  Any sniper rifle.  Bioware did a good job with them, I have a hard time picking from my Krysae, Black widow, valiant or Indra.

Effective and fun: Asari justicar with a Graal Spike thrower.  Tank and support really suits my teamplayer mentality.  I hate that I can't tank as much on geth since reave doesn't give damage reduction on them, so it is effective only 50% of the time I guess.

For the lulz: Pheonix adept smashing things through walls (nerf walls please).  I'm sure I will get better at it and it will become effective eventually.

Favorite weapon: Hurricane.  great stats and takes skill to use to full potential.  Feel good about myself doing well with this gun.

Drell Adept - 6/6/6/5/3 build for maximum biotic explosion damage. Speed, mobility, best (overall) dodge in the game, massive spike damage and excellent mob control. Use with a hurricane, since it's a great weapon to blindfire from cover.

well for me the HV is top tier if you know how to use it...I remember once my score was 180k by round 8 against Geth on Dagger, but I stopped playing it cos too OP and risky at the same time: boring
The ex cerb are boring as well...just go around a corner and keep spamming smash till the end of a match lol

I know how to use HV.  I don't get 10 minute gold clears with it. What I do get is 32 minute gold solo clears with it as opposed to 22 with the Geth Infiltrator.   

I know that you know how to play it but I didn't get you were associating top tier to ClearTimes

What the heck am I supposed to associate it with?  I almost always win (only exception is if I'm in a lame pub and I get randomly sync killed... and this happens most often on Vanguards).  The only difference is how fast.

It mostly depends on team synergy for me.

But my Salarian Infiltrator with a valiant and specced with maxed proximty mine and no energy drain is probably the character that I am least dependent on team synergy with.
But maybe not, against phantoms and reapers I do run into more trouble with him on my own.

So my strongest character is the Asari Adept with a Carnifex, 6/6/6/5/3.
Stasis against phantoms and biotic explosions against reapers while being very mobile and having an awesome dodge probably makes it my best and most effective class.

My fav around class is easily the Turian soldier with marksman and a revenant x. Soooo much friggin fun!

Turian Sentinel 6/6/6/4/4, weapon does not matter (because I am too new to have very capable weapons) so I rely on skills and being more of a supporter, than a pure damage dealer.

Damn fun class though, because you can basically be Good Guy Garrus, helping people.

My most effective build would be a MQI or Vorcha Sentinel with a Reegar.

The most fun I've had, was back with the Kishok ****** Gun and my FQI(and FQE) though. I got such a thrill out of seeing enemies fly and oneshotting bosses if I got my aim right.

I know, for myself, I have builds and combos that are effective for my style of play but, when I am trying to play for fun, I will often have other builds and combinations that I enjoy more for pure entertainment value (you know, teh lolz, as it were).  After all who doesn't enjoy tossing enemies around with the Krogan heavy melee once in a while, or yelling "Yoink!" every time you use lash on a Cerberus trooper (OK, maybe that last one is just me)?

My most efficient build is the Geth Infiltrator equipped with a Krysae X... Unfortunately...

Maxed out Cloak for damage output
Maxed out Hunter Mode for damage and IR sight
Maxed out the unshackled ID for damage output
Maxed out the fitness for healt and shield
Is this the build that I have the most fun with? Of course not!!! <_<

My favorite build is the Asari Justicar with either the Talon pistol, the Hurricane or the Mattock!!

Maxed out bubble for damage and warp effect
Maxed out Reave for damage reduction and area of effect
Level 4 Pull for area of effect
Level 4 Asari Justicar for weight reduction
Maxed out fitness for health and Shield
KABOOM!!!!

What is your most effective class / weapon strategy?

Best class for weapon strategy is infiltrator, because he have best damage output and high survivability.
Ability strategy - all around splash damage \\ control (like explosions). It is biotic and grenadier builds.

MQE with Mattock X.

Aoe on incinerate and lightning dmg on arc grenades = tech bursts galore. Tactical scan is nice for the big bosses.
I never liked the non auto assault rifles but have really been enjoying the Mattock X. The only drawback is my right pointer finger is far more muscular than the rest.

Its cool to see BioWare sparking discussion, rather than just posting announcements .

Ontopic: QME, AJA, BSo, HV, VSe and PV are among my favorite classes that are very effective in most situations.

I also like playing TSe, DV, BSe, and QFE, but they're a bit more niche. I usually only switch to these guys if I know the team can make up for my lack of effectiveness

Most fun? Male Quarian Infiltrator arc grenades with javelin build and Vorcha with full regen bloodlust and cluster grenades with claymore and scorpion. Also asari justicar with offensive bubble and reave with GPS.

These are all very effective btw.

I love using quarians, any type. QFE is only really fun on bronze. Geth engineer every once in a while.

Other wise I play the melee krogan sentinel or vorcha soldier, they're both tons of fun. Explode and burn everything when not smashing or slashing.

I still have yet to get him, but I'm guessing Krogaurd would be fun as well.

Yeah, TSo with a Revenant X is fun. The same goes with a Hurricane or Harrier.

Is it a crime to say I just about love all my characters builds & find them all to be fun? Batarian sentinel & human adept are pretty much the only 2 characters I don't care for & the krogan soldier is pretty much underpowered when compared to the other 2 krogan. I guess I'll just list two of my more fun characters.

1) Vorcha Sentinel - 6/6/0/6/6 w/ reegar..

Between his awesome dodging, to his insane health regen, he is an all around fun character to play. I like to get up close to my enemies and he allows me to do that regardless of which difficulty I want to play. His grab kill & melee are pretty sick & the reegar meshes well with his up close play style.

2) Krogan Sentinel - 6/0/6/6/6 w/ reegar & blackwidow

He is a really fun character to play and I love to melee faces in with him. Although his maximum melee damage is only slightly lower then a krogan soldiers, he doesn't have to purge his armor to have it which I love. Also he isn't restricted by power CDs since I only use grenades, melee or weapons so it doesn't matter what I equip him with.

Destruction at any range is my motto with him. Up close? bash their face in or melt them with the reegar. At distance? cut them down with the black widow. Clustered? Here have a few grenades!

My most effective is a real toss-up because I'm good with everything except Vanguards. I suppose it's either 6/6/6/4/4 Geth Engineer w/ the Talon or 6/0/6/6/6 Human Soldier w/ the Claymore. The new Male Quarian Engineer is up there too, 6/6/6/4/4 with the Harrier.

The most fun for me though are the two Vorcha, who I'm also quite effective with. So many great quotes, so much fun to chain dodge around the map, such an awesome grab animation, trolling Banshees all the time...great fun! The most fun after the Vorcha would be the ones I mentioned as my most effective because, frankly, kicking serious ass is serious fun.

Most effective for me is human engineer with overload set for max chain + paladin or carnafex and turian sentinel skip warp max TA and overload set for max chain + hurricane.

I rock at least a half dozen builds on a regular basis, and play around briefly with a lot of others. But my most common ones are:

1. SI with Valiant - Used in U/U/G matches when I don't see good synergy to use an Adept/Sent/Eng

2. HSold w/ GPSMG - Used for mad fun in all games when I have plenty of AP Ammo III stored up

3. Drell Adept when I'm with a team who wants to run Biotics and nobody else likes the squishy little guy

A 0/6/6/6/6 Asari Vanguard with a Saber III and Vulnerability VI III gear. Specced for weapon damage. Personally I've found this build to be the best allround Stasis Sniper and mostly end up first or second place on Gold. For giggles I sometimes replace the Saber with my Talon IV, and she's still effective.

Favorite (and most effective) class right now is Asari Vanguard with Grenade Capacity V, power synergy, and full power & force passives (6/3/6/5/6). I sometimes use a Disciple for flavor vs. Cerberus, but my Talon VII is better overall for each of the factions (on gold). Incendiary Ammo with maxed Lift Grenades can easily generate fire explosions.

I like all the Vanguards including the Drell (with Reegar/Talon/Claymore), but when I'm not hosting, I often play Drell Adept with a Scorpion (for Phantoms, Hunters) since this class is very deadly and self-sufficient. I use the Talon vs. Reapers. I play all the Adepts from time to time though - the human is great for Reapers, and it's always enjoyable to roll with any asari.

99% of lobbies already have infiltrators, so I don't play them much anymore. But shotgun infiltrators (Claymore, Reegar) with Grenades (Sticky, Arc, even Proximity Mine) are very similar to the Asari Vanguard build I fancy.
