Because the internet is a site for debates, be it about companies, cats, or games and a debate generally needs two sides(at least) so someone has to be on the other side.

Nobody could actually like that ending. Whoever says they do are either trolling/goth/indoctrinated

Why do some of you feel the need to convince everyone of how bad it is?

People who defend the endings are like people who defend the bible.

The ending was so ambiguous and full of holes, any logical person would question it. To not question it and take it as literal as possible is to be blind in faith.

Convince? No....its quite obvious how bad it is.....I think the OP is indirectly asking why try to convince others that its good....or why do people even need convincing......I'm assuming anybody who has played the game, has eyes.....its pretty clear how anti-climactic, and abrupt it is.....

My simple response to the OP's question: Denial

I don't think anyone thinks the ending was awesome. It had plot holes as well as straight up impossibilities (people walking out of the Normandy when they were charging Harbinger's beam with me). However, not everyone thinks it was as bad as you do, and I assume it is those people who you are talking about. Not everyone hates the lack of happy ending or the three choices at the end, and not everyone thinks the Normandy crash (barring the aforementioned impossible people being there) was that terrible.

Because it was a strange ass curve ball that didn't make much sense and got the entire community thinking and talking for months. Success!

Why would we give you an answer when you are implying that it is not possible to defend the ending.

This. Also the sneering, overweening, thoughtless and generally unpleasant way you Herd The Liners ruin every single thread you can kind of grates on me personally.

In before: space magic, lots of speculation, artistic integrity, RGB, etc.

I honestly don't see a massive amount of posts suggesting there is a significantly large group of people who liked the ending.

It's just people's opinions. They have the right to defend it. Quit asking questions when you don't want an answer.

I honestly don't like your condescending attitude. You're implying it's wrong to defend the endings.

^ I guess another reason is that I object to being told I'm illogical, blind, in denial, have low standards, etc.

You stay classy, guys.

Because they have their own opinions, as much as I might disagree.

I have no problem with anyone so long as what they say is coherent and at least moderately well reasoned. And short, because as much as I'd like to take on fellow posters such as Ieldra2 and JSheppp their posts are so f*cking long and complicated.
