Why people defend the ending? REALLY? So now everyone need to have the same opinion? Just because the majority hate the ending doesn't mean everyone do.

Some like the ending. Some think the ending was not good, but not horrible. Some like BioWare and want to defend them. Some do it from reasons I don't know about. People that defend the ending are allowed to do that just as much as people that don't like the ending are allowed to protest against it.

People also like Michael Bay films.

The ending was so ambiguous and full of holes, any logical person would question it. To not question it and take it as literal as possible is to be blind in faith.

Is religion bashing the thing to do this week? This is like the third thread where I've seen it happen.

Religion bashing is always in style.

Anyone who believes there is a magical man in the sky that watches everything you do, may as well call him Santa Claus.

or I could take the ban i'm gonna get for personal attack and say you're an ignorant son of a ****
yes i believe in god, i must the most ignorant person in the world. **** you you ****** douche. just because there are people who believe in god doesn't mean we are all bible thumpers, jackass

The gross exaggeration of the situation some people like to flaunt rarely fails to p*ss on my evening.

Thank you for that.

Whatever.  I tell you what, I'll f**k off out of the forum for another month or two.  Maybe that will improve your evening.

Have no idea who this Michael Bay is. Anyway, just because you don't like him it means everyone need to agree with you?

Your opinion is not more imprtant than anyone else's.

Why people protest against the ending?

They don't like it.

Why should it be different to someone that defends the ending?

Do whatever you want.

Next time, if such a thing comes to pass, don't lump me and the large number of reasonable posters in with the wretches, and don't do it whilst playing the victim or with that hypocritical banner.

You're kinda bunching us all in with a few people who are genuine sh*ts. You're implying I'm on the same level as someone who threatened Bioware staff.

So yeah, maybe you should.

Come on now. All you have to do is spend some time in the BSN and you can tell who are the trolls, who are the flamers, and who are the reasonable people who are up for a passionate debate.

There's no need to get so wound up.

To answer your question OP, they enjoyed the ending. Simple as that. Some may be over passionate because of the sheer amount of anti ending thread here. Some people thought it was genuinely good. Sorry for jackin' your thread.

Because plot holes, abandonment of themes, and the rendering of both previous games to be pointless just doesn't bother some people, I guess.

Oh well, gotta cater to the "new fans".

No need to apologize. I wasn't offended. I was just defusing a situation before it occurred, while also expressing how I see things.....I don't like getting into wars of words because everything gets taken out of context and crazy things get said, and nobody knows what's going on or what the other means.....yeah, no good ever comes from it.

Like, do I understand how you could like the ending or how it makes sense to you?

In all honesty, I can't think of one logical explaination

But I'm not going to bash you for how you feel about it.....

Though I do on occasion, bash the ending itself....

Well, that's rather difficult. :D Let's see

I think the most important point is to accept the fact, that the ending right now (EC might change that) is pretty sad. I admit a part of me was hoping for an actuall happy ending with blue children and all that, but after some time I actually started to like Shepards sacrifice. I see his death as a new beginning and not as an end.
Same with the Normandy scene. Yes, it makes no sense that your ground crew is onboard and that the Normandy seems(EC) to flee. But these issues aside, I can actually appreciate the Normandy scene as a new start for the galaxy. Shepard died, so that his/her loved ones (Normandy) can live on.
I also think the future in the ME Universe won't be as grim as some here imagine (no trade etc..) and I also don't necessarily need an epilogue. I liked them in DA, but I also have a thing for this uncertain future in ME.
The thing with the Catalyst, that's too complicated to explain in a few words. If you're interested, there is a good discussion about that in this section called "The Catalyst is Right [or How I Learned to Trust the Writers]".

Anyway, I know there are a lot of reasons NOT to like the ending and I'm not happy either that we only got three different explosions in the end (and other things). But in general I'm fine with the ending, I'm not particularly fond of it, but I certainly don't hate it.

I'm not against religion.....I graduated from a Catholic high school, my entire family was raised that way....

However, I'm an adult and can logically think.for myself. I've never taken the bible literally. Hell, even my theology teacher told me that the Old Testament was just a camp fire story....

But on the other hand, I'm watching "Through The Wormhole" with Morgan Freeman, and my girlfriends sister is over eating.dinner, and this broad just stops eating, and starts preaching to.me how "the Bible says we are Gods children, we're the only life I'm the galaxy. It says it in the bible"

This chick.was for Serious too....I just laughed in her face.....

I think Leafs was referring to people like my girlfriends sister......not religion in general....chill out folks....

I'm pretty much the same way and admittedly almost laugh whenever I hear people I know say things like that
Btw, Morgan Freeman is god, so there's her proof :innocent:=]

Indeed he is. Everytime I hear his voice I feel enlightened in a completely existential way lol
