Save things like Javik's war in his cycle for books or comics. The games should be set after ME 3, if you choose to expand the setting.

But as I stated now for the thousandst time: If its ME, but NOT Shepard - Its not ME. IMO.
I stated now for the thousands of time... I hate shepard a lot of people hate sheperd so... **** shepard he is an anoying overrated raper
Could you... tell me then why you are on this forum? Why you played Mass Effect?
How can I - play a game when I hate the main character? Which isn't even a stereotype - I mean, everybody plays HIS or HER Shepard. Individual. So I don't get why somebody hates the hero of a story but plays the games and is even active on the forums. And why should he be a "raper"
Weird.
Maybe you chose the wrong game genre for you.

So long as the story is good, I don't really care when it's set! Prequel, sequel, alternative timeline, parallel dimension all fine! Just not FPS. Thanks.
absolutely agree and this mentality by the op of creating a falsr sensr of fear out to be bumped frAnkly awhy not make a new mass effect franchise that expands on the krogan rebellions? the rachni wars, the first contact war, shanxi , xplore deeper the rivalry between batarians and humans? the fatal flaw in this topic is just how misinformed itis n thand misleading. u op are confusing between a star wars prequel let alone holluywoods obaessionunhealthy i may add and yes some game prequels are bad but the diff and reality as fact that the op clearly omits is that unlike star wars and heaps of others prequels and other preq game titles the referencrs to these said events through me series are clearly defined. chris i would implore u to disregard th premise of this topic as u earnt the right esp through proving with ec dlc u care for fans, when it matters most to direct future franchise titles that absolutely are prequels and sequels. the me series has far firmer foundations in it back ground as well as present history than other games origin backgrounds byy giving us one of the finest collective game exoeriences of all time u earnt the right to take franchise in what ever direction u pls but i agree strongky with op on the mre relevant part of pic def. NO mmos! eep to same sp formula with new charactters new playable central character new technogy weaoona, settings and a new story

Mmm... "no more" prequels certainly implies that there have been prequels in the past, which would be why you would not want more in the future. We have not made a prequel to a game (I will admit you can argue that KotOR was a prequel to the MMO, but that was not the intention at the time of making it) for any of our games. Are there prequl games in particular that you dislike that, maybe, you are confusing with our games?
Fans in the past have said they would actually WANT a game that takes place prior to the story of Mass Effect , possibly centered around teh First Contact War between humand and turians. Would that NOT be something you would want? Or do you mean, you do not want a prequel game if it featured Commander Shepard specifically (like the recent film reboot of Star Trek for example).
Details?
Oh, and we have not confirmed ANY post Mass Effect 3 games, whether they are prequels or not. This is all just speculation at this point.
Bring forth another trilogy if you've got the guts,we've got the cash.

We all know you will buy another ME game. Btw it sounds like you wouldn't be a fan of movies, comics, or books based on your hatred of reboots and prequels.FROST4584 wrote...
I highly dislike REBOOTS and prequels. The only way , that I would purchase another Bioware game at this point or DLC, is if they made Mass Effect 4 based around Shep. Your choices didn't matter in any of the games.
Yes, that is right, I never liked reading or watching anything reboot or prequel related. I don't have a problem with a short story, but making a film or game based off events of the past is a waste of time. Most of it is junk anyways, playing off name brand of a series. I liked it when the film and the gaming industy was more creative rather than rehashing someone else's story or doing a story when which we know the end too. I rather move the story foward to NEW ideas and stories.

I want to play as Garrus, or should I say Arcangel. That whole set-up on Omega, the magnificent 12, Sidonis, all of it.
I know what will happen to your friends in that game! ;P
I want to play a resistance leader among the rubble on earth, deciding who will be the leader of earth, steering the emerging political system right, or simply struggle vainly as the Alliance military decides that humanity can no longer afford democracy, to help decide the fates of the many aliens left of stranded on earth, will make for an epic tale.
Heavy space travel can wait until the second installment in this mass effect 2.0, so theres time to rebuild the citadel.
