Every sound track in the trilogy is epic and flawless. My personal favorite is Suicide Mission tho.

Mass Effect wins for Vigil alone. God damn is that one atmospheric soundtrack.

Me3.
An End Once and for all is the best track around.

I never did think ME's music was that great... the JRPG's have them beat
The only 2 tracks that stood out for me in the whole trilogy, is "The Normandy Reborn" and Afterlife.
Oh, and "Vigil" of course.

The me3 soundtrack is amazing in many ways, the only bad thing about it, is that the Catalyst dialogue background music is missing from soundtrack?

I'd favor ME2's score if the DLC soundtracks count, but all three games had outstanding soundtracks.

A few examples according to my opinion:

ME1: Spectre Induction; Vigil; Saren's Theme; M4 Part 2 from The Faunts

ME2: Suicide Mission (of course); Shadow Broker final fight theme; Overlord combat theme; Normandy Reborn

ME3: Leaving Earth; Mars; The Fleets Arrive; An End, Once and for All; The Catalyst; Operation Hammer theme

All are great to listen to before my university final exams, and they do help a lot. :)

You sir have stolen my post

This. Every single one above, I'd pick.

all 3 games had great soundtracks imo
i thought me3 done a great job of combining the musical style of both me1 & me2, and still manage to retain its own identity

This is my new favorite thread, for it led me to discover that I could download the ME1 soundtrack on Amazon.

I think ME2 is still the king for me, though ME3 + the EC soundtrack is phenomenal.

They're all too different to compare. Depends what ya like. I take Virmire and Ilos from 1, Tali Theme and Suicide Mission from 2; Reaper Chase from 3.

Mass Effect 2....Suicide Mission is the best song in the series. Can't forget Crash Landing, The Attack, The Illusive Man's song, etc.

I also liked Mass Effect 1's soundtrack. I felt that Mass Effect 3's soundtrack was lacking besides An End Once and for All and the Faunts song at the end of the game

ME2 because of Suicide Mission.
.
I actually didn't care for soundtracks before playing ME2, but after that awesome OST, I had to start taking notice.
.
ME3 comes close in second place, it probably has more great soundtracks than the other two scores.

ME3's soundtrack, because it's got the most emotion evoking tracks in comparison to the other soundtracks.

If this was for best single track, Vigil would probably be my vote. But frankly, ME1 is my least favorite overall. I'm just a sucker for the more typical orchestral soundtrack they moved toward in the second two games.

For strongest overall soundtrack, I think I'd have to go with ME2. Not that ME3 is any slouch.

They're all fantastic. It's hard to pinpoint one. I personally like the ME3 soundtrack the best with ME1 and ME2 tied behind and VERY close.

I voted for ME1 because of the cool vibe it gave.

ME2's cinematic music (music during pre-rendered cutscenes etc.) was great but I really didn't care for any of the music that played during missions.

ME3's is better than ME2, imo. I liked a lot of the music that played during cutscenes as well as a large portion of the music that played during missions.

I love the Illusive Man theme. It's my most listened to track of the series. Closely followed by Vigil, the main ME theme, Suicide Mission and an End Once and For All.

Mass Effect 1's was amazing! One that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet, but that I loved, was "Sovereign's Theme". It's short, but the last 30 or 40 seconds is chilling!

I also loved Mass Effect 2's, and I haven't listened to the actual soundtrack of Mass Effect 3, but I do know I enjoyed the music in it whilst playing!

To hard to decide...

With the release of the EC's track, I'll have to say it leans toward

ME3>ME2>ME1

I'm just a sucker for emotional, piano pieces and adrenaline-rushing tunes that ME3 and ME2 provided respectively.

ME is still pretty excellent with Vigil theme, Galaxy Map theme, and Spectre Induction.

Mass Effect.
