An End Once and for all is the best track around.

The only 2 tracks that stood out for me in the whole trilogy, is "The Normandy Reborn" and Afterlife.
Oh, and "Vigil" of course.

I'd favor ME2's score if the DLC soundtracks count, but all three games had outstanding soundtracks.
A few examples according to my opinion:
ME1: Spectre Induction; Vigil; Saren's Theme; M4 Part 2 from The Faunts
ME2: Suicide Mission (of course); Shadow Broker final fight theme; Overlord combat theme; Normandy Reborn
ME3: Leaving Earth; Mars; The Fleets Arrive; An End, Once and for All; The Catalyst; Operation Hammer theme
All are great to listen to before my university final exams, and they do help a lot.
You sir have stolen my post
This. Every single one above, I'd pick.

i thought me3 done a great job of combining the musical style of both me1 & me2, and still manage to retain its own identity

I also liked Mass Effect 1's soundtrack. I felt that Mass Effect 3's soundtrack was lacking besides An End Once and for All and the Faunts song at the end of the game

.
I actually didn't care for soundtracks before playing ME2, but after that awesome OST, I had to start taking notice.
.
ME3 comes close in second place, it probably has more great soundtracks than the other two scores.

For strongest overall soundtrack, I think I'd have to go with ME2. Not that ME3 is any slouch.

ME2's cinematic music (music during pre-rendered cutscenes etc.) was great but I really didn't care for any of the music that played during missions.
ME3's is better than ME2, imo. I liked a lot of the music that played during cutscenes as well as a large portion of the music that played during missions.

I also loved Mass Effect 2's, and I haven't listened to the actual soundtrack of Mass Effect 3, but I do know I enjoyed the music in it whilst playing!

With the release of the EC's track, I'll have to say it leans toward
ME3>ME2>ME1
I'm just a sucker for emotional, piano pieces and adrenaline-rushing tunes that ME3 and ME2 provided respectively.
ME is still pretty excellent with Vigil theme, Galaxy Map theme, and Spectre Induction.
