Anyone thinks that even though Miranda has a big enough role, it is a little off?

Many other characters such as Mordin and Legion have roles that fit them perfectly or near perfectly;
however, for Miranda, her role in ME3 is by no means small; there's quite a few interactions that run through the game and she plays quite a role in the Horizon mission.

However I think she is a little off.
In the midst of war, the only thing she really mentions is her sister. I'm not calling her selfish or anything, but I just don't feel that this fits her character that well.

There's a lot built up in ME2 about her that is missing in ME3; she is a multi-talented individual with perfect genes, she has great squad leadership talents, she is the jack of all trades.

Instead, before Horizon she didn't really do anything that we can see...at least I don't see it, thus giving me the feeling that the only thing she cares about in the war is a) her sister and B) her father caught her sister.

If I were a writer, I would probably let her lead a resistance, or an ex-Cerberus squad or something but care about her sister at the same time. Anyway, I think that is a bit off...that's just how I feel.

Sometimes, I also feel that there's a little off with Liara too. In ME2 she has built up a little 'dark side', but in ME3, this little 'dark side' is never shown.

yeah, it bugged me how the only thing she ever talked about was her sister and father. would have been nice to see a change of topics.

Same would have been nice for Ash.

I guess I speak for 90% of the Miranda fan-community when I agree with you there. That's a famous problem already.

She was expected (from many people, also non-Mirimancers) that she is like the Legion or Mordin of the Cerberus arc. That never happened, though. She spent ~20 years, her whole adult life thus far, as a high-ranked Cerberus officer and even though Cerberus is almost the main-enemy in ME3 she is not even mentioned in that direction.

Maybe. I would have wanted to be able to recruit her, to help me as I helped her... I mean, Shep recruis Liara, Garrus and Tali who are not Alliance; one ex-Crebrus wouldn't have been so strange... M.

A first time writer did her story in ME3. That might be why she is such dissapointment, and Walters rule to sideline everyone who isn't from ME1..

Miranda would just set off everybody on the Alliance ship who isn't Joker, Liara and surprisingly enough, maybe Ashley. Don't think Miranda would like it there on the new Normandy much herself either. I can't see her being forced into the crew quaters along with everyone else that's for sure.

Maybe. But she would be perfect for Kaidan. An some ****ing with Ahs would be also nice... I don't care about Alliance. I want my Miranda on ME3 crew! M.

That's smart. Disrupt the whole crew for one person, but... okay. Doesn't matter, it's not like the option was available anyway.

And perfect for Kaidan? I agree.

They deliberattely excluded her from the Cerberus arc for some mysterious reason and it really shows. Yes technically she has more lines than Jack etc but it feels awfully poor in comparison and full of filler. It is the equivalent of excluding Tali from the Geth/Quarian arc and then trying to cobble together a role for her on that basis. Utterly idiotic.

Not really on topic, but I don't think that Miranda would go for Kaidan and I don't understand where that affection would come from. Someone really needs to tell me, I have heard this many times now.
He's too much combination of a Alliance puppet and a sensitive whiner for her...

I'm already questioning the wisdom of making this post, but...to be entirely, perhaps brutally honest? While there are several things about Miranda's presentation in ME3 that seem...strange, to me, her focus on her sister and her father isn't one of them. It does strike me as something she would do (among other things, perhaps).

Genetically perfect human wouldn't go for one of early LT2 implants, who is a strong biotic, a bit introverted and with such a strong supressed sexuallity? M.

I admit that's a fitting point but it's also the only similarity right between all the opposites... Would she really fall for the Alliance supporting, sensitive, introverted Kaidan?

Can't see Miranda & Kaidan as a pairing in a million years.

No. He would fall for her. And then sweat talk her as Shep did in ME2.
^ I agree. But stragner things have occured. Mshep and Kaidan being of them. M.

'Alliance supporting' and being 'sensitive' wasn't much of an obstacle when it came to romancing Shepard.

I'm sure Kaidan has a clean bill of health as well. VROOOOOOOM. He passes with flying colours.

I can see Kaiden having a crush on her, not so much Miranda actually being interested. She seems to be attracted to strength.

This would have been good. Boy I got so sick of Ash and Miranda constantly repeating themselves from previous games. Writers got brain freeze on them.

Oh, he would definitely fall for her, I agree with that.
But remember there is a difference when talking to the legendary Shepard or some random Alliance soldier.
I just can't see ruthless Miranda developing any kind of interest in Kaidan...

Kaidan's not random, he's the next best thing. And he's strong, his biotics could give Miranda a run for her money. They work for me. They'd just need to spend some time working together first.

And it really doesn't take much to turn Miranda into the emotional paragon...

Kaidan "Ow I get headaches" Alenko is a godawful match for Miranda.

Please, don't ever bring up such a silly notion again.
