cannot pick up mods

 I just noticed this when on Palavens moon. I can pick up all the mods inside the first base just fine but as soon as I get to the airfield I cannot pick up mods. I highlight them and confirm picking them up but the window does not pop up confirming I picked up the mod and when I go to the workbench to mod the weapon the mod just is not there at all.

Is there anyway to avoid this glitch, does anyone know the cause of it and is this the result of the latest patch?
