Give it a day or two on the forums first. If they're positive and the good reviews are coming from forum-goers I trust (or the negative reviews are coming from people whose opinions I know I don't share), THEN I'll download it.

Reason? Actually quite simple. RGB took a long time to burn from my brain. I'd rather not go through that process again. Merely reading about more **** is much easier to forget and replace than seeing it.

@GenericEnemy, that's not impossible. Remember that one possible interpretation of the ending is that Bioware pulled a 'Torch The Franchise And Run'. (And I'll admit that if I found out that Bioware did it on purpose to keep EA from turning Mass Effect into a rotting zombie, then at least I understand why, even if I can't forget the hurt.)

The day it comes out, I will appear offline and ignore any message I get from friends. I will play the entire campaign, completionist-style, and judge for myself whether BioWare still deserves my money.

After reading some of these replies I can not help but believe many of you will be disappointed. That is because many still want change (and hope for it) but that is not what we are getting. With that in mind I don't think it is really fair to criticize anyone who would rather just watch it on youtube or see forum reaction before downloading for themselves even if it is free.

watch it on youtube, if it seems worth it I'll dig ME3 out of it's dark hole and play through the end of the two games I managed to finish then stuff it back in it's dark hole so DA2 doesn't get lonely.

I'll play it. I realize the EC could actually be worse than the original ending, or it could improve it. But I'd rather see it in game vs. Youtube so I can create my own impressed/disappointed reaction.

I'll watch it.

If the EC manages to redeem the series (doubt it) then I will also most likely install the games again and start a new Shep.

Probably watch first, just to avoid the painful five minutes of gimping towards the final room as a mortally wounded Shepard.

Also, then I can skip the stupid stargazer scene and stuff like that.

EC comes out i'm avoiding forums and playing out the end to see the improvements. Then i'll hit up youtube and browse the forums.

I honestly expect some people to still be upset, but many will accept the EC and appreciate the improved epilogue/ ending sequence.

Then, the speculation for paid dlc begins!

Play my end-game save file with my main. Depending on how much I like it, I will either watch other videos to see what some of the variations are, or do it with my other three Sheps, One also has a post-save game, the other two are at other points in the campaign.

Play, since it's a free download. I have a save file sitting right before the assault on Cronos Station.

Play it, although I haven't even started Priority: Palavan yet on my 2nd playthrough. So I'll probably check everyone's response/reaction on the internet without the spoilers as I progress through the game again.

Since they originally said no new game play will be added no need to play it. Watching and/or read how they explain things is enough for me. Being a free download does not matter to me. Either way I do hope it makes more people happy then not.

Considering how poorly I withstood the first disappointment - I'm still not completely over it - I'll be checking opinions and/or watching it first, and buying it if it doesn't feel like it just rubs salt in old wounds. Really, the last thing I need (should I ever dare finish Mass Effect 3 again) is an even more awful ending to experience it when I finally do.

I honestly have no malice for Bioware (I have some concern for their future/well-being), but I'm bracing for the worst while hoping for the best. Unless they follow MrBtongue's (youtube) advice to manipulate the meaning of "clarifying" as "retconning," there's a chance this won't be much good. They could be doing a lot of handwaving I s'pose, at minimum, but I'm not sure a bunch of duct tape will fix this.

The day the EC comes out this is my checklist.

#1 Drop by the store after work and buy some beer
#2 Experience the RGB Ending(s) with "new" content
#3 Visit Bioware forum while listening to Illusive Mans Theme
#4 Drink myself happy.

Well, if the EC expands upon our decisions, then I'll play.
If EC only expands on red, green, or blue; then Youtube it is.

@en2ym3 I thought Bioware said EC was going to e free? If I have to pay for it, then I'm 100% for watching on Youtube. Bioware(EA) has already received enough money from me.

Soaringeagle78 - I'm actually assuming, there. I have no idea. I heard, in a way kind of off to the side, that Bioware has been trying to appease fans/been extra nice with free DLCs and the like (I haven't been paying enough attention to -know- what the deal is), so I wouldn't be surprised, in a way. But then again, I have no idea how much time, money, etc. it's costing them, or the like. I honestly wouldn't blame them or get upset if they did put a price on it, personally.

Rick Lewis must be psychic, because that's my plan too.)

I'll get a few Miller Genuine Drafts, kick back, and play it.

I'll play it and enjoy beating Harbinger's ass.
