Enough with the damn butt jokes it's very insulting. The whole topic shows how immature you really are. I hope this thread get's locked and quick.
If you have a problem with the games assthetics take it up with bioware.

Theoretically in the quasi-magical genetic science of the future, you can make a daughter from the DNA of a single male donor. No big whoop.
What I don't get is how/why her father "engineered" her for biotic potential. Miranda (b. 2150) is a year older than Kaidan (b. 2151), and he tells Shepard a lot about the history of human biotics. Kaidan himself is among the first generation of human biotics, his mother was accidentally exposed to element zero while pregnant with Kaidan, and he was sent to BAaT, run by Conatix Industries, to learn how to use his biotics, which weren't well understood at that time (thus why they had turian teachers). Kaidan tells Shepard that intentional eezo exposures weren't suspected until 2163, once Conatix ran out of first-generation exposures.
Mind you, the Prothean ruins on Mars weren't discovered until 2148, and First Contact with the turians wasn't until 2157, so Miranda's genetic makeup was determined before human biotics was really well understood, and before asari and other aliens were around to help them work out the kinks. Does anyone else find it odd that Henry Lawson was tinkering around with biotics only a year or so after humanity discovered element zero and before any human biotics were even thought of?

Many people from the Miranda fanbase thinks that Miranda is an artificial biotic.
There's a medical procedure to create biotics inserting eezo nodules. However the death risk were high, even for krogans. Henry could have used that procedure to convert Miranda into a biotic when she was young (7-10 years old), risking her life.

Well, gender is a spectrum not a binary
I would dispute that.
I agree, gender is a ternary in English…masculine, feminine, neuter.
Sex, on the other hand, is a spectrum.

Yes, but Miranda was not born in the standard fashion, but rather engineered, making that irrelevant.

It's obvious Miranda is a woman. Her chromosomes were altered...which is probably quite easy 150 years into the future. Henry took desirable traits from other females to implement into Miranda.
And on the note of "dat ass" jokes, it's been getting old. There's more to Miranda than just her ass. Try actually having a few lenghtly conversations with her on the Normandy and maybe you'll realize that we're not her fans because of her butt. We like her personality and mental toughness foremost.
